Trying to test this team again for a tournament battle I'm playing later today when I came across this guy. Sometimes, I honestly wonder what goes through people's heads to think they can win, or react the way they do when they don't, with strategies like this.
Usually when you see a team this small, it's either part of a FEAR strategy, a Smeargle, or a joke team consisting of a Magikarp and a Sunkern. This just makes no sense.

Random Shit volume 14: "Mother Nature used Sheer Cold! It's super effective!" Edition
-Luxray.
-Donphan using Iron Defense against a Galvantula that was spamming Energy Ball.
-Double-Edge Sylveon.
-Yet another Brick Break Sableye. Yeah, good coverage, but Sableye is not an offensive Pokemon.
-Someone using Ash's Hoenn team: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-81952713
-Yeah, I know Dragons need coverage to hit fairies, but Brick Break on Haxorus and Superpower on Dragonite won't suffice. Especially when said fairy is Togekiss.
-Icicle Spear Cloyster without Skill Link.
-Wait, what? http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/pokemondatabase-ou-5260
-Flame Charge M-Charizard. Gotta go fast.
-Grab a soda: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-81952982
-Stone Plate Terrakion. That's a new one. I see why people would use it, though.
-Sludge Bomb Thundurus. Interesting.
-Conkeldurr using Knock Off on Heatran after popping its Air Balloon.
-Mega Scizor with Acrobatics.
-Techno Blast Water Genesect. It also had Flame Charge.
-Torrent Greninja. Ya dun goofed.
-Power Trick Medicham. It didn't do it any good, because it fainted on the next turn.
-A Tentacruel that wasn't holding anything.
-Offensive Shuckle. Maybe it had Power Trick, too.
-Soak Octillery.

i think your apparent obsession with penises is the real concern here
I wasn't playing in this battle, only spectating. I play as HermanGigglethorpe in Showdown. Read my sig please next time.

As for Soak, I have seen it used well in Double Battles when used with Discharge. In Single Battles it seems kind of a waste.

OUTRAGE ALL THE THINGS!!! Also... Onix > http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-82129405
Also, setting up 2 layers of Sticky Web.
Also, Nonscarf Ditto (I know I said previously that not giving a certain item to a Pokemon isn't silly, but Ditto and NFEs are the sole exceptions)
I'm guessing this is how the team works :
Damp Rock Electrode sets up Rain Dance and then explodes, leaving Choice Specs Magikarp 6 turns to sweep with Swift Swim. Yup, seems like a watertight strategy, just as long as the opposing team consists of Chandelure, Darmanitan, Rhyperior, Magcargo, non-Eviolite Gligar and Flareon without any defensive investement, and you never miss one of your Hydro Pumps.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Magikarp Hydro Pump vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Flareon in Rain: 296-350 (108.8 - 128.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

I might want to try this out...

Sucks that he got swept, I think he would have had some funny stuff.
>Non Sashed Smeargle that set up Spikes before Web or Rocks
>SubDance Beedrill (Is this a thing in lower tiers?)
>Zen Headbutt Shaymin
>Psychic Blissey
>Fusion Flare Victini (Seriously just use Searing Shot. In singles, it's 100% superior.)

Also, some Ubers silliness: http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/ubers-82208789
>Thunder on a sun team
>Toxicing a Deoxys-S when it's at 18% instead of just finishing it off
>Foul Play/Toxic/U-turn/Sucker Punch Yveltal (is that even a thing?)
>Screwing up your own weather using Imposter Ditto
>Ditto vs. Ditto victory

Edit: Someone forfeits from non-Power Herb Geomancy-spamming Xerneas:

Wut.

Guys, please stop making fun of a set just because it's only the second most common.
Although Fling Rare Bone is amazing.
Wasn't making fun of it, I just didn't know Galvantula was even used as a special attacker... I mean, it's outclassed by other mons.

Didn't get the replays, but I've seen things... Fake Out Sableye... vs Deoxys-D; a Rockslide Hydreigon (which failed to OHKO a Talonflame... then it just Roosted until it failed and proceeded to Brave Bird the dragon); a special Dragonite with Dragon Fang... and few other gems.

Sash Lead is the standard set, but some prefer Life Orb so that they can hit for more damage after Sticky Web is up.
Rock Slide doesn't seem all that stupid on Hydreigon, but if you can't OHKO Talonflame with it, you might as well give up.
I never understood the appeal of Fake Out, but giving it to Sableye is stupid by any standard.

Fake Out is really better in Doubles and Triples to prevent the opponent from setting up on the crucial first turn. Even in Singles it's free damage at least, and players who spend all their time at the damage calculator may be able to scout a moveset (i.e. how many EVs go into Defense or HP). I used Technician Ambipom to decent effect in 4th gen for softening up targets.

Galvantula was sometimes used as a special attacker in 5th gen, when it was mainly known for Compoundeyes Thunder.
