Round 8: ...and a watery grave.
A roar of victory pierced the air only to be met with a crack of thunder as Wyvern returned to the match. This time however the stones littered about the field flew up at Wyvern, sliced long gashes through it's scales. Hephaestus braced itself for its final stand but Wyvern would not be so direct. A stream of toxins hit the camel and breaking the mighty beast's concentration. Enraged, it rush to meet the dragon one final time. Wyvern again brought forth torrents of water, rushing and swirling around his opponent. Hephaestus met this not with burning flames but icy chill! The two clashed for but a moment and as the water receded Hephaestus lay unmoving with Wyvern standing over him, bloody and with frost crackling along his form.

Round 9: Build up to the climax!
And so it comes down to the last two pokemon on each team: Hera the fae enchantress vs Wyvern the great wyrm. While the match up looks like it should be completely in Hera's favor, Arthur seems to be assured of his victory.
Wyvern moves away from his downed opponent and shakes the ice from his body. Hera blinks onto the field already having played a little trick by stealing a bit of treasure from the dragon. She smirks and looks for her opponent. Before she can react however Wyvern has closed the distance and wrapped her in his powerful body. Fighting for breath Hera attacks point blank into Wyvern's battered hide with fairy light. Rather than letting go to deflect or evade the blast as she had expected, he instead seems to drink in the pain and a haze of power gathers in the air. Again and again she attacks and yet the dragon will not let go. Hera could feel the energy around her reaching a peak. The end was coming...

Round 10: It ends with a bang.
The energy that had been building by now felt like a blanket smothering the Gardevoir. Desperately she tried to think of any way to avoid whatever it was the great wyrm had planned. Try as she might however she could think of nothing as the dragon's coils tightened around her. Finally the energies reach their peak and the dragon released her. For a split second everything was still. Then energy, pure and terrible, washed over the fae creature. Fueled and amplified by pain, Hera could do nothing but let it wash her away...
And so ends this battle. It seemed like for a second Hephaestus was going to run away with this all on his own. Dragonite (and Bide) however ended up living up to its reputation and gave Maxim the win.
