I've started a Mafia/Werewolves style game over at a Stephen King forum I mod at. The site is specifically dedicated to the Dark Tower series King wrote, so our game "Wolves!" is based on the antagonists from one of the books (Wolves Of The Calla, just incase you're interested :nerd: ) Anyway...

As a parent I salute any parent who homeschools their children, I for one couldn't do it. I love my kids dearly, but I really enjoy the break I get when they go to school, as I'm sure they enjoy the...well, social aspects of school at least! :D I do sometimes question the motivation behind...

Hahaa!! Yep, pretty much :D Thanks for the comments <3 I've got some acryllic varnish that I've used to waterproof them, that should keep them going a little longer - but you know, these things aren't made to last, I'm cool with it.

Bought some plain white canvas shoes for my son which were pretty boring, so I've been painting them for him. Finished the left foot today...

The Dresden Files books are great! Easy reading but very, very enjoyable. I've just started reading the Repairman Jack series, which is pretty similar.

I've gotta say I'm not really getting all the hype around Sleigh Bells. I've been sent tracks by four friends now, who's musical taste I highly respect - but they aren't doing it for me. I've listened to as much of their stuff as I possibly can, hoping for it to click...still waiting...:(

Oh and!! Talking of connecting DT dots, you must read the short story collection Everything's Eventual a few of the stories have DT connections, in particular The Little Sisters Of Eluria which is about Roland before the events of The Gunslinger.

I'm so glad you liked Duma Key, alot of fans don't seem to like his later books but I've loved them! The Stand is a fucking trip and a half, Randall Flagg has never been more bad ass :D I missed the VGC but got my eevee off the friends I was meant to be going with, who took my game with them...

I was never a short story fan until I read Everything's Eventual by Stephen King. I'm a King fan anyway, and this was some time ago - but it really is a fantastically engaging collection. I feel the same way about novellas usually, but again The Body also by King, is one of my favourite stories...
