what's a sturdy pokemon that can function in a new uu hail team and resists some attack types that ice types are weak to, like fighting and rock

Nidoqueen fills this role nicely and can set up Toxic Spikes, and Stealth Rock to help with Hail Stall.

My post feels kind of short next to Caleum's.

It's hard to say; but generally speaking I have a few suggestions.

Hariyama works excellently due to his natural bulk, making him a good candidate for stall, and his resistances to Rock and (via Thick Fat) Fire.

Since you are looking at a stall team a bulky Rest-Talk Spiritomb or Rotom (depending how much you have trouble with Staraptor) can be good. Both can block Rapid Spin to prevent your entry hazards from getting blown away and they both are immune to Fighting.

While the 50% Stealth Rock weakness may be a major turn off (and it obviously doesn't resist Rock lol), Moltres makes a good choice on Hail teams with Fighting, Ground, and Fire (and Steel lol) immunities / resistances.

Claydol is decent with its bulk, ability to Rapid Spin, and resistances to Fighting and Rock (and immunity to Ground). Plus, on a Hail team, you probably have plenty of switch-ins to Ice Attacks.

Nidoqueen works well with the ability to set up Stealth Rock & Toxic Spikes along with resistances to Fighting and Rock.

Hope I helped a bit.

@echelon3 : A neutral Outrage is more effective and powerful than a super effective crunch against Cresselia. So stick with Fire punch/Blast so that Skarmory and Bronzong don't wall you.

Is confusion supposed to be passed with Baton Pass?

*EDIT*
Sorry, I was in the middle of a battle when I entered that so I had to be quick. To explain more thoroughly, is Confusion, or any other status for that matter, supposed to be able to be BP'd to another Pokemon? Because if not, then I have a new glitch to report for shoddy...

Is Dewgong on a Hail team a good idea, or it's better suited for Rain teams?

dewgong is a really poor pokemon, if you really want to use it, use it in a rain dance team to try to abuse its ability. In the hail walrein is a lot better and shares the same type combination with dewgong.

My questions are about outside of battle effects of abilitys. I know than Synchronize and Static works when the lead pokemon is fainted..That also applies to Cute Charm???

And related with that...¿i can "stack" effects? I'm preparing for Chaining, so i need to know if something like this is a operative team

- Fainted Synchronizer
- Fainted Cute Charmer
- Catcher
- Filler
- Filler

You can stack the effects of abilities, but only up to two at a time (to my knowledge). However, the pokemon with the second ability cannot have the fainted status in order for it to work.

Therefore, your team should look like:

-Fainted Synchronizer
-Active Cute Charmer
-Active Catcher
-Filler
-Filler
-Filler

Go away; you insulted Dewgong :< ...

I think that Nintendo insulted dewgong giving it a poor type combination and less than average stats... Anyway, I just answered your question: dewgong is better for a rain dance team, in the hail walrein is a lot better...

NFE's are perfectly usable in any of the tiers (bar Wynaut :\), and each NFE pokemon is counted as an individual specimen. Species clause still applies to them.
