It's a Random, take a Pachirisu. Only Electric attacks are to be used. It must have Discharge by the E4.
Okay, Nice one. Looks like I'm going to get used to grinding... Just one question? Do the Electric attacks have to do damage or not?

Anyways, So far:

  • Pachirisu: Electric attacks only, Discharge by E4 (Treadshot A1)
  • ???
  • ???
  • ???
  • ???
  • ???
5 more guys, keep them coming! :)

Its a Random, take a Misdreavus.

Your Misdreavus has lived in deep forest all its life, and hates the sun. When you're outdoors during the day (or in a bright area, like most buildings), you can't send in your Misdreavus unless it's your last Pokemon left.

@Its A Random, take a Krickitune named Faricimo. It must be caught as a Krickitune, and when sent out against a trainer, it must use a sound move at least once.

@Treadshot A1: Thanks, This is my first scramble as you might've guessed. ;)

@Ungulateman: Nice challenge, I'll be sure to keep it in darkness...

@Auramaster: Good challenge, not too shabby, it better have a good tune...

Anyways, So far:

  • Pachirisu: Electric attacks only, Discharge by E4 (Treadshot A1)
  • Misdreavus: Can't come out in bright areas unless last one left (Ungulateman)
  • Kricketune (Faricimo): Use at least one sound move when sent out against a trainer, must be caught as one (Auramaster)
  • ???
  • ???
  • ???
3 more, guys, keep them coming! One of them has to be a starter as well! :)

@Sprocket: Haha, thank you!

@Its A Random: You must grab the Drifloon at Valley Windworks.

Aww, it must be lost! You just found it floating there all alone; the wind is a powerful thing for an organism so light. You decide that you must find where the Drifloon originates from! Looking into every city and asking the gym leaders might help, as you never can tell what a person might know! Depending on its nature, you may only evolve it into a Drifblim once it solos one of the following gym leader's most powerful pokemon

Neutral nature: Veilstone gym
+Defense nature: Pastoria gym
+Special Defense nature: Hearthome gym
+Speed nature: Canalave gym
+Attack nature: Snowpoint gym
+Special Attack nature: Sunyshore gym

After many weeks of hard searching, however, it seems you cannot find where poor little Drifloon had originated from. But through your time and care, Drifloon has found a new home in the trainer that loves him so, and finally evolves into the mighty Drifblim! But even though Drifblim is happy with its new trainer, it still misses the place where it once had come from. Upon level-up, you must teach Drifblim the move Frustration. For the first turn in any battle that Drifblim participates in, you must use Frustration against the opponent. You cannot switch, run away, use an item, or use any other move on said first turn. You may not use Drifblim until you obtain the TM and teach it to it.

After beating the Elite Four, however, Drifblim realizes that no matter where you are or come from, you're always home when you're already where you want to stay. After this epiphany, Drifblim no longer needs to know or use the move Frustration, and you may do whatever you wish with your close friend.

Cheesy, complicated, based a little on luck, but good luck yourself.

Sprocket

P(n) = 1 - (1 - P(1))^n
Its a Random, take the first Burmy you encounter. If it's Female, it must evolve to Wormadam-S and know and keep Protect, Bug Bite, Hidden Power, and Fissure before fighting Palkia. If it's Male, it must evolve to Mothim and know and keep Protect, Bug Bite, Hidden Power, and Camouflage before fighting Palkia. Nickname it Metapod either way.

@BuddyBlueBomber: Awww...That has got to be one of the best challenges you've come up with. Thanks! By the way, Does that mean I have to solo either Lucario, Floatzel, Mismagius, Bastiodon, Abomasnow or Luxray, depending on nature?

@Sprocket: Thanks for the challenge, better get those Sweet Honey's out... ;)

  • Drifloon: Solo a Gym depending on nature to evolve, level up, teach Frustration & use it upon entry until beating E4 (BuddyBlueBomber)
  • Burmy (Metapod): If Female, Evolve to Wormadam-S, learning Protect, Bug Bite, Hidden Power & Fissure Before Palkia. If Male, Evolve into Mothim, learning Protect, Bug Bite, Hidden Power & Camoflauge before Palkia (Sprocket)
  • Starter Pokemon
1 more guys, keep them coming! I need a starter now! :)

oh man.... mono electric pachi......

anyways its time for your poke...a Bastiodon named Big O. (just started watching the series again. its so awesome :D)

by the time you get to Spear Pillar, Big O's moveset must be:

Sudden Impact (EQ, ironhead, or Takedown)
O thunder (thunderbolt or Thunder)
Chromebuster (flamethrower, Fire blast, or Flash cannon)
Plasma Gimmick (Protect or Metal Burst)

or if you feel like it, change one of the moves to FINAL STAGE (hyper beam or Giga impact) since final stage is complete rape in the anime :P

yes i just named everysingle move after a Big O move. Big O must also defeat Byron's own Bastiodon, which shall be called Big Duo. gl

EDIT:

FUUUUUU okay change it to piplup since you need a starter, still named Big O

moveset is changed to:

Sudden Impact (aqua jet or drill peck)
Cannon Party (hydropump or flash cannon)
Chrome buster (flash cannon or hyper beam or ice beam)
Plasma Gimmick (Protect or double team)

(your choice is in the parentheses, must obtain moveset by the time you invade galactic veilstone building)

now must solo the highest level poke in 3 gyms to evolve from prinplup to Empoleon, piplup to prinplup is whenever you want

Thanks! And almost. You must solo each and every of those pokemon until you reach the gym specified in the nature given. So it's quite possible you'll have to solo all of them!

i assumed in this post that, depending on the nature, you got to choose which leader's poke you had to solo (and that you only had to do one.)

I guess I messed up there, then x3 Well, for my mistake I guess that it can be done in said way instead. I'll leave that up to the one taking the challenge to decide.

@It's a random: Bring a Turtwig. It cannot evolve into Grotle until it solos a gym leader that is NON Roark, it cannot evolve into Torterra until it solos a gym leader that is not Crasher Wake. Name it Paradox808

-EDIT-
Nevermind, I only saw paradox QQing about the memory of monoelectric Pachirisu and therefore you already have a starter, my bad.

Okay guys! Thanks for suggestions!

  • Kricketune (Faricimo): Use at least one sound move when sent out against a trainer, must be caught as one (Auramaster)
  • Drifloon: Solo a Gym depending on nature to evolve, level up, teach Frustration & use it upon entry until beating E4 (BuddyBlueBomber)
  • Burmy (Metapod): If Female, Evolve to Wormadam-S, learning Protect, Bug Bite, Hidden Power & Fissure Before Palkia. If Male, Evolve into Mothim, learning Protect, Bug Bite, Hidden Power & Camoflauge before Palkia (Sprocket)

Anyways, I'll the scramble in a few hours. Thanks for suggestions, guys! :)

Scramble Challenge Update #1

Ok, I think it's time for my first update.

Here's the Pokemon, for anyone concerned...
  • Drifloon: Solo a Gym depending on nature to evolve, level up, teach Frustration & use it upon entry until beating E4 (BuddyBlueBomber)
  • Burmy (Metapod): If Female, Evolve to Wormadam-S, learning Protect, Bug Bite, Hidden Power & Fissure Before Palkia. If Male, Evolve into Mothim, learning Protect, Bug Bite, Hidden Power & Camoflauge before Palkia (Sprocket)
  • Piplup (Big O): Moveset is Aqua Jet/Drill Peck, Hydro Pump/Flash Cannon, Flash Cannon/Hyper Beam/Ice Beam, & Protect/Double Team. Moveset Obtained before Invasion of The Galactic Building in Veilstone. Solo 3 Gym Leader Main Pokemon as Prinplup to Evolve (Paradox808)

The adventure so far in text in the Hide Tag.

Anyways...I start the adventure, feeling confident about my first scramble, but making sure I don't become too confident. I name myself "Random" (Because I can't come up with a better name), become a boy, and go through the pre-adventure shit before finally getting the show on the road.
I go outside and visit my Rival "Someone" (Again can't come up with a better name) and get told to "escort" him to Lake Verity. The two of us get there and get attacked by two Starly. I reach inside the nearby briefcase & grab a Pokeball with Piplup in it. I dispatch Starly in three turns, as Dawn grabs the briefcase.
Eventually I arrive at Prof. Rowan's lab and get a Pokedex. At that point, I name Piplup "Big O" (Courtesy of Paradox808) and learn how to catch a Pokemon (Like I don't know already).
Eventually, I arrive in Jubilife and get the Poketch. As I leave Jubilife, I encounter Someone who want's to battle me and my Piplup.
Starly comes out, and gets dispatched in three turns. then Someone sends out Turtwig, and then the battle becomes a war of attrition, as the Turtwig Withdraws while Big O Growls at it. Twenty odd turns and two Potions later, Turtwig goes down and I take his money.
Eventually, I arrive in Oreburgh City, heal up at the Pokemon Centre, and go straight to the mine, where I meet Roark, who goes straight to his Gym.
I arrive at the Gym and go and clean out the two Youngsters. Luckily for me, Big O evolves into Prinplup after the first one.
I confront Roark, ready to face my first Gym battle. He sends out Geodude, and Prinplups Bubble sends it into oblivion. Onix falls in similar fashion. He then sends out Cranidos, and unfortunately he was faster and gets in a Headbutt. Fortunately, it only does roughly 27% Damage to Big O as he Bubbles Cranidos, doing over 50% damage and lowering its speed. Roark scrambles for a Potion, as Big O Bubbles Cranidos again, dealing about the same amount as before. Big O, thanks to Bubble luck, manages to outrun Cranidos, getting in another Bubble and dispatching it once and for all.
I get the Coal Badge, TM76 (Stealth Rock), and leave the gym, to heal at the Pokemon Centre.
And that's where I'm up to at the moment...

My team so far:

Big O (Prinplup) @ Nothing
Lonely Nature Lv:17
-Pound
-Metal Claw
-Bubble
-Peck
2 Solos & 19 levels until evolution.

The other Pokemon are yet to be obtained.

That's the Update, another one coming soon! :)

Its a Random: Since you'll get Pachi soon in Floaroma, i recommend that you try to avoid over levelling Prinplup. If it's so high in levels, the game isn't really a challenge then. Try to keep and even team, with minimal grinding.

yeah, if you end up over grinding then the game will be really really boring since you'll end up refraining from using your other members since they'll be weak in comparison.

also, that last move was protect/double team, not protect/ice beam

Heck, even MEP isn't bad if you solo with it and over level it like hell.

Been a while since my last update, but I've been juggling a lot of stuff when it comes to school, sports, drawing, and family matters. At least I don't get bored too easily!

Grinding, grinding, grinding, etc, etc, etc, and now it's off to Hearthome for the second gym badge and one step closer to completing the challenge. After picking up the Togepi egg, I've now obtained 5 pokemon of my team. I've gotten Eo(Togepi) to level 23 already with the oh-so-useful Exp. Share, so I will attempt to knock out the gym leader's weakest pokemon to meet the first evolution requirement. Do I expect to succeed? Not so much. But it's worth a try! Also, if Mettle successfully beats the most powerful pokemon in the upcoming battle, he'll be able to use the move Crunch without worry! Anyways, enough of my jibber-jabber, here's how it all went down.

Battle Synopsis
I lead out with Eo, hoping to snag a kill on the opposing Duskull. I use Yawn to try and get Duskull asleep, who uses Future Sight. Not sure how much damage that'll do, but I'm pretty sure that Eo will keep strong. Sweet Kiss gives the chance for a nice confusion hax after Yawn wears off. Duskull uses Will-O-Wisp, which seems like a big problem considering that any physical move picked by Metronome will be even less effective than it normally would be, on top of the steady damage taken every turn. Let's just see where this goes. First turn, Duskull sleeps, and Eo uses Tailwind. Not really good, but that does put him faster than Duskull. Second turn, Duskull's still asleep, and Eo uses Aura Sphere. Nice. Third turn is Sing, while Duskull proceeds to wake up and sure Future Sight. Not really looking good so far. Several unsuccessful turns later and Eo is taken down by a Future Sight. Well, there goes that chance. next up is Mettle, who should be ready to take on whatever's in store with a couple Charges. Two Charges later (taking advantage of Duskull's sleep status), and a Spark finishes off the remainder of HP left from odd confusion hits.

Next is Haunter, who tries and fails to use Hypnosis, taking a Bite to the face in return. Seeing the female gender, it's obvious that Bite would have OHKO'd if it wasn't for Rivalry. Curses! After using a Super Potion and pitiful Shadow Claw attack, Haunter goes down easily with Mettle's might.

Mismagius uses Confuse Ray, which is a real pain against Mettle. Bite manages to pass through, and bring down Mismagius into 2HKO range. If it wasn't for a Sitrus Berry. A Shadow Ball does a fairly small amount of damage because of the previous Charges, but it lowers Mettle's Special Defense. Another Bite attack brings Mismagius into the red; must be getting lucky with that confusion there! The next round could be it. Shadow Ball deals considerably more damage, but Mettle hangs on and snaps out of confusion! Another Bite attack finishes Mismagius, this battle, and one of his requirements.

With the battle over, I can't help but be disappointed that I couldn't get a bit more luck with Metronome and Eo. The next gym is Fighting type, so that'll probably turn out to be even harder for poor Togepi to evolve. Considering that Togekiss is the only pokemon on my team able to learn Fly, this'll turn out to be a major inconvenience. But, Mettle once again saved the day, which is a good thing. Now I'm sure it's off to more grinding, so wish me luck with the next gym!

True, well that's what happens when I can't get my other scrambles until after the first Gym...Will get Pachirisu up to level after beating Mars (Even if it means Bait & Switch until it learns an electric move...

@Paradox808: Fixed, Thanks.

Scramble Premier League

Guys, just wanna say this: use this weekend to complete your battles as it is the best time you'll have (especially if you have very different timezones)!
