I understand your concerns, but I doubt it could turn out just like OU. With only Snover to compete with, there wouldn't really be the same kind of weather wars. And you would only need checks/counters for one weather, instead of three.

Sand is already everywhere. The first four battles I did today had Hippowdon on the opposing team. Maybe they're just trying it out because it's the new thing.
Either way, UU is headed for a major shake up.
Sunny Day and Rain Dance. They still exist.
Granted, I don't play UU much, but I didn't think think such teams were dominating like they did last Gen.
Even so, that doesn't really hurt my point, that auto-weather inducers aren't some sort of holy grail like they're hyped up to be in OU.
The relevant question is how many of those battles did you win?
Only 1. But that was because I was trying out a Solar Power Charizard and I managed to get Hippowdon out and set up my sun.
Not a really relevant question. I wasn't trying to ladder, just testing out some team combos.
I've also seen a lot of Darminitan, enough to the point where I am looking for a dedicated counter... Maybe Kabutops. Or a Flash Fire Arcanine....
Darminitan is not long for UU. Scarf Flare blitzing his way through at least 2 pokemon on every team.
They aren't auto brainless team archetypes though, because you have to legitimately set up and create a team to work around them instead of slapping on the inducer + #copypaste abusers. Due to the difficulty(read, actual thinking) in weather move strategies, they aren't as popular.
Hey Antar, could you do a run for players with less than 800 rating (or maybe 900, I don't even know if there are that many people with 800 rating)?

Probably one of the reasons why Gastrodon was moved up in usage for Gliscor and Thundurus which I am predicting. (Main reasons because of rain and two immunities + reliable recovery and decent stat distribution which people didn't really abuse until now [outside of grass knot, but then who uses grass knot on Thundurus]).
