Ok, we have almost everything we need to commence voting on Latios's tiering.
Lower Requirement:
Everyone on this list must post in this thread identifying him- or herself and submit a response to the two topics listed below via PM to BOTH Aeolus and myself by Friday, March 13, at 11:59pm EDT.
1) Characterize your involvement in the test. Did you play consistently throughout the month, or did you gain all your experience at the end of the test? Did you use the suspect avidly yourself or concentrate on observing it in battle?
2) Describe the criteria you will be using to cast your vote. For you, what aspects of a pokemon should be judged when determining its tiering between OU and Uber?
When addressing the second question, it is strongly recommended that you observe the Characteristics of Uber that were worked up in Policy Review for months:
Offensive Characteristic
A Pokémon is uber if, in common battle conditions, it is capable of sweeping through a significant portion of teams in the metagame with little effort.
Defensive Characteristic
A Pokémon is uber if, in common battle conditions, it is able to wall and stall out a significant portion of the metagame.
Support Characteristic
A Pokémon is uber if, in common battle conditions, it can consistently set up a situation in which it makes it substantially easier for other pokemon to sweep.
Finally and perhaps most importantly, Doug, Aeolus and myself are working on the finishing touches of the criteria of the Hidden Requirement. We will release an update in this thread indicating who will be impacted by this requirement with regard to the paragraph submission. If you put a significant amount of effort into this Suspect Test, it would be best if you monitored this thread to see if you fulfilled the Hidden Requirement. Due to Shoddy names not always matching up with forums names, it is not practical for any of the three of us to consider sending private messages to these people. Of course, you may apply for special permission to myself (not Aeolus this time around) by addressing the following:
1) Smogon Shoddy Battle Name
2) Screenshot of Smogon Shoddy Record
3) Computed scores for Rating and Deviation on the Standard ladder
4) Explanation of why you did not meet the rating requirements ("I'm too busy" will get you an automatic denial)
5) Explanation of why you should be allowed to vote
So that's that. Post in this thread if you're on the above list to identify yourself (I realize that "TOF." and "Twist of Fate", "Twist of Fate." and "Twist o Fat" are all different IPs as far as Shoddy is concerned so yeah I'm not digging further). We'll have the Hidden Requirement info out to you guys shortly.
