Little Cup is cool - A LC Warstory
Preface
Hi guys. I have a friend who's is a fan of Little Cup. Then, wanting to test his team, he challenged the LC gym leader of the pokémon online server Psykout22 for a Gym Battle. I wasn't there, but then he showed me the log of the match and, boy, it was AWESOME. Close match, great teams, great players and little pokémon. At this moment, LITTLE CUP IS COOL made his coments and I'm going to post it because he still doesn't have an account on the forums. Ok, enjoy! LITTLE CUP IS COOL's team       Psykout22's team will not be showed by particular reasons. Coments will be in navy. Battle between Psykout22 and LITTLE CUP IS COOL started! Tier: LC Wifi Rule: Unrated Rule: Sleep Clause Rule: Freeze Clause Rule: Species Clause Rule: Self-KO Clause LITTLE CUP IS COOL sent out Hippopotas! Psykout22 sent out Meditite! Hippopotas's Sand Stream whipped up a sandstorm! Psykout22: good luck LITTLE CUP IS COOL: same 100% vs  100%Ok, he started with Meditite, a powerful pokémon whose attack is bigger than Groudon's (if both are level 5). But my Hippopotas is very sturdy and he'll take no more than 35% from a Drain Punch, Meditite's best attack. For this reason, I'll go with Stealth Rock. Start of turn 1 The foe's Meditite used Ice Punch! It's super effective! Hippopotas lost 14 HP! (56% of its health) Hippopotas used Stealth Rock! He has Ice Punch, an uncommon move on Meditite, yet very useful for hitting Gligar and Hippopotas. This caught me off guard, but Hippopotas is still alive and he has Stealth Rock on his field. I have, on my team, a very hard counter for Meditite, namely Slowpoke, which resists Ice Punch/Zen Headbutt/Drain Punch/Bullet Punch, meaning that Meditite can't touch it. Start of turn 2 LITTLE CUP IS COOL called Hippopotas back! LITTLE CUP IS COOL sent out Slowpoke! The foe's Meditite used Ice Punch! It's not very effective... Slowpoke lost 3 HP! He's probably going to switch now. I think I'm going to use Toxic. Nah, he might predict that and send something like Ferroseed or Bronzor to take the Toxic, so I'll just Flamethrower and still do damage to whatever he switches into. The sandstorm rages! The foe's Misdreavus is buffeted by the sandstorm! Slowpoke is buffeted by the sandstorm! 85% vs72%Misdreavus, eh? Well, Misdreavus horribly rapes Slowpoke, so I'll switch my special wall also known as Lickitung. Start of turn 6 LITTLE CUP IS COOL called Slowpoke back! Slowpoke regains health with its Regeneration! LITTLE CUP IS COOL sent out Lickitung! Lickitung has Cloud Nine! The foe's Misdreavus used Shadow Ball! It had no effect! The sandstorm rages! 100% vs72%Right, everything as planned. It will probably going to use HP fighting, which will do 30% or it will try to burn me, but I have rest so I don't care. I'll just go for Dragon Tail for some Stealth Rock damage. Start of turn 7 The foe's Misdreavus used Will-O-Wisp! The attack of the foe's Misdreavus missed! Lickitung used Dragon Tail! The foe's Misdreavus lost 18% of its health! Pointed stones dug into the foe's Meditite! The foe's Meditite was dragged out! The sandstorm rages! Psykout22: fufufu 100% vs54% -> 85%Ok, Meditite was brought. Since that thing OHKOes me with Drain Punch, I'll switch into my own Misdreavus, which is faster than Meditite and threatens it with Shadow Ball. And no, I didn't care about that Will-O-Wisp miss. Start of turn 8 Psykout22 called Meditite back! Psykout22 sent out Misdreavus! Pointed stones dug into the foe's Misdreavus! LITTLE CUP IS COOL called Lickitung back! LITTLE CUP IS COOL sent out Misdreavus! The sandstorm rages! The foe's Misdreavus is buffeted by the sandstorm! Misdreavus is buffeted by the sandstorm! (LCIC) 95% vs (PK22) 37%Oh, he switched, eh? Well, I could just use Shadow Ball to finish it off, but it might be Timid and 240 EVs, just like me, and I don't want to risk losing such a valuable pokémon like Misdreavus for a speed tie. I'll just play safely and bring Lickitung back. Start of turn 9 LITTLE CUP IS COOL called Misdreavus back! LITTLE CUP IS COOL sent out Lickitung! Lickitung has Cloud Nine! If I can get at least 2 Curses, his guts Timburr won't OHKO me and I'll do some good damage with Dragon Tail. Ok, let's go. Start of turn 10 The foe's Misdreavus used Will-O-Wisp! Lickitung was burned! Lickitung used Curse! Lickitung's Attack rose! Lickitung's Defense rose! Lickitung's Speed fell! The sandstorm rages! Lickitung is hurt by its burn! 88% (Burned) vs37%He burned me, but I have Rest, so this isn't going to mess with my plan and I'll just get the 2nd Curse I want. Start of turn 11 The foe's Misdreavus used Hidden Power! It's super effective! Lickitung lost 8 HP! (28% of its health) Lickitung used Curse! Lickitung's Attack rose! Lickitung's Defense rose! Lickitung's Speed fell! The sandstorm rages! Lickitung is hurt by its burn! Psykout22: i see possible rest?!? 48% (Burned) vs37%I was right. HP Fighting would do shitty damage. Now, it won't kill me, so I'll just Rest to heal the burn and start to spam Dragon Tail to slowly chip away his pokés health. And yes, he saw the Rest correctly. Start of turn 12 The foe's Misdreavus used Hidden Power! It's super effective! Lickitung lost 8 HP! (28% of its health) Lickitung used Rest! Lickitung went to sleep and became healthy! LITTLE CUP IS COOL: ofc LITTLE CUP IS COOL: ^^ kokoloko: they always have it Psykout22: a bit weird Psykout22: and sleep talk i guess LITTLE CUP IS COOL: yep kokoloko: its an old school sun counter 100% (Asleep) vs37%This Lickitung was made by a great LC player called Elevator Music, which he used to counter sun. Even with sun banned, I still use it because it's very hard to break through and when used with entry hazards, it will be very annoying. Time for some Sleep Talk spam. I just hope I get the right moves. Start of turn 13 The foe's Misdreavus used Hidden Power! It's super effective! Lickitung lost 8 HP! (28% of its health) Lickitung is fast asleep! However, I have 2 Curses under my belt, meaning that a Drain Punch will do 60% max, and I'll do 30% with Dragon Tail, so I'll just use Sleep Talk again. Start of turn 14 The foe's Dokkora used Drain Punch! It's super effective! A critical hit! Lickitung lost 20 HP! (71% of its health) Lickitung fainted! Lickitung had its energy drained! And now, Slowpoke lost its main counter >=D 100% vs88% (Badly Poisoned)Because it would be dumb to leave Timburr on a Slowpoke, I think he's going to switch, so I'll just go for Toxic again to cripple another poké of his. Start of turn 15 Psykout22 called Dokkora back! Psykout22 sent out Misdreavus! Pointed stones dug into the foe's Misdreavus! The foe's Misdreavus fainted! Slowpoke used Toxic! But there was no target... The sandstorm rages! Slowpoke is buffeted by the sandstorm! 95% vs 0% (Fainted)LITTLE CUP IS COOL 5 x 5 Psykout22 As I said, Misdreavus would die by entering on Stealth Rock again. Now, Slowpoke is free from its number one counter. But I don't think this is over, he has a Scraggy hidden, which can troll Slowpoke with STAB Crunch. But let's see what will happen. Psykout22 sent out Broken Face! (Scraggy) Pointed stones dug into the foe's Broken Face! 95% vs  95%I was right, he switched Scraggy in. I could Toxic them, but since 68% of the Scraggy players use Shed Skin, I find better to switch Mienfoo in to take the possible Crunch. If it decides to Dragon Dance, I still outspeed because I'm scarfed. And then, I can Hi Jump Kick his ass out. Start of turn 16 LITTLE CUP IS COOL called Slowpoke back! Kojofuu is buffeted by the sandstorm! The foe's Broken Face is buffeted by the sandstorm! 95% vs 90%Oh I see. He used Dragon Dance. Maybe he thinks he'll outspeed and OHKO me, but I'm scarfed, so I'll outspeed and Hi Jump Kick it. Mienfoo is my favourite LC pokémon because it's fast, strong and cute ^^. Start of turn 17 Psykout22 called Broken Face back! Psykout22 sent out Gligar! Pointed stones dug into the foe's Gligar! Kojofuu used Hi Jump Kick! It's not very effective... The foe's Gligar lost 20% of its health! The sandstorm rages! Kojofuu is buffeted by the sandstorm! 90% vs  68%And he switched a Gligar. Maybe he thinks I'm bulky or maybe he thinks I'm scarfed. Anyways, Gligar hits hard and Mienfoo is too important and too cute for me to let it die now, so I'm going to switch Slowpoke, which takes no more than 34% from an Earthquake. Start of turn 18 LITTLE CUP IS COOL called Kojofuu back! Kojofuu regains health with its Regeneration! LITTLE CUP IS COOL sent out Slowpoke! The foe's Gligar used Earthquake! Slowpoke lost 9 HP! (32% of its health) The sandstorm rages! Slowpoke is buffeted by the sandstorm!kokoloko: anyway, i beat EM in the smogon LC tour kokoloko: so w/e LITTLE CUP IS COOL: really?? kokoloko: yeah... Sturdypoke is so sturdy that it tanks an Earthquake like a boss. Now let me see. If he uses Earthquake again, I should use Slack Off. If he uses a non-attacking move, I should use Ice Beam. Meh, my money is on an Earthquake, so I'll Slack Off. And, about the conversation, I just praised koko because he beat who was, IMO, the best LC player on Smogon. Start of turn 19 The foe's Gligar used Swords Dance! The foe's Gligar's Attack sharply rose! Slowpoke used Slack Off! Slowpoke regained health! The sandstorm rages! Slowpoke is buffeted by the sandstorm! 95% vs 68%Oh drats. I mispredicted. This didn't matter because Slowpoke is still takes only 64% from a +2 Earthquake and I'll just Ice Beam Gligar to hell. Not again >_>. Slowbro is a defensive pivot that I certainly wouldn't like to lose, considering he still has Meditite on the bench. If I click Spikes, I'll get a free layer of Spikes, considering he uses Payback. However, if he uses Drain Punch, then Ferroseed is dead and he's going to heal itself. I need to switch into My own Misdreavus in Drain Punch's case. Gah, I'm more afraid of Drain Punch. I'll go for Misdreavus. Start of turn 25 LITTLE CUP IS COOL called Nattorei back! Now, let me see the risks: if I switch Misdreavus on a Zen Headbutt, she'll be killed by Bullet Punch after, and then, Meditite will rape my team. On the other hand, if I let Ferroseed and it uses Drain Punch, he'll heal itself. However, even if he heals itself, I can revenge it with Misdreavus. But I might win. Altough I'm with only 1 pokémon and Psykout22 with 3, he has a Weakened Meditite, a Scraggy, and a Carvanha. Those 3 will fall to Mienfoo's amazing kicking ability. I must say, amazing match on both players part. Only thing that pervents me from rating 10/10 is Turn 30. You had Protect as an option to scout Meditite's actions, do SS damage, and potentially scare your opponent into Zen Headbutting, for you knew it was using drain punch.
8/10, it could have a little more in-depth thinking (Not too horrid, though). Makes me want to perfect my LC Team and start playing again. |

This battle wasn't wothy of a Warstory to be honest... Psykout had been out of the metagame for a while, which was pretty obvious to due to him not expecting Rest on Lickitung.
Btw, there's a reason for me sounding retarded at the end. I played against LCIS yesterday and he was running a LO Kojofuu, and I didn't realize he had changed it cause I wasn't paying that much attention, lol. Because of this, I figured the best way for Psykout to win was to set up Zuruggu on Misdreavus... hence my "I think you might've just lost" at Psykout. EDIT: Also, lol, I feel the need to clarify this: "kokoloko: anyway, i beat EM in the smogon LC tour" ... I was going to make a point about that Lickitung set, since that match was the first time ever saw it used, but I forgot to finish what I was going to say. Bah... you shroud edit out all the stupid shit I said, I was at work & barely paying attention to that game, lol.

I need to destroy psykout one of these days, it's been far too long...
Good battle, edit the comments out next time though. The crit on lickitung did not matter. Staying in on dokkora/timburr was really stupid anyways, as he only had a 1/3 shot of a favorable outcome. I didn't really like some of the predictions that were made, but that's just playstyle. It surprises me that PO doesn't use wifi clause though. Lastly, get your friend to make an account on these forums! We need more LC players here! Overall, well written, ok battle (though I saw the ending from a mile away, I can appreciate it anyways), good opponent, 7.5/10.

If it wasn't for the mispredict at the end with Carvahna, I'd give you a 9.5/10. Most Carvahna run Protect to evade HJK from Meditite/Mienfoo, don't they? If it wasn't for those critical hits (yours made no difference) I think you may have won! 9/10. ^_^

I was kinda disappointed in the ending, as once your last poke was Mienfoo, it was gg, as Scraggy could own you unless you used HJK, and we all know what a Protect spammer Vanha is. Good game anyway, lots of crits :)
