Pokémon Fantasy Football

• There will be 32 players allowed in this tournament. No more, no less.
  • Tournament Badge holders agree that seniority is a higher priority on this tournament. If you aren’t considered a senior member, you might not end up participating in this tournament.
• This tournament is single elimination.
• Participants must be able to use an IRC client efficiently. The draft part of this tournament will happen on the Dejatoon's IRC network (irc.dejatoons.net), home of the Smogon Chat Room (#smogon).
• Participants will be divided into groups of four. Groups will participate in their own fantasy pokémon draft. Each person will select one pokémon of his or her liking and add it to his or her team. After that, no other person can choose that Pokémon. The next person will choose a pokémon that he or she want to use on their team. No participant can then use that pokémon, etc.
• Drafts will be moderated by me, or another approved person.
• When each player has chosen a total of ten pokémon, players will have approximately fifteen to twenty minutes to try and convince players in their group to trade pokémon with them. Once the time has elapsed, no more trades will be allowed. After trading has finished, players will make their teams based off the pokémon they have acquired from the draft. Players are allowed to modify their teams between group rounds if they advance.
  • Players who miss the draft will have their choices made by myself or by another tournament badge holder if they are available. Most likely, it will be me. Be aware that it’s not a good idea to have me choose your picks. Trades will be made by the substitute drafter.
• When each group is left is one player, all players will form into new groups of four, and a new draft will start. This process repeats until there is only one player standing, and he or she will be the winner.

• Pokémon can only be drafted from the Pokémon Diamond & Pearl OU bracket or lower.
• Species Clause: You cannot use two of the same pokémon.
• Evasion Ban: Attacks that specifically increase evasion are banned. For Example: Double Team. Moves that have a chance of increasing evasion or items and traits that change evasion are acceptable.
• OHKO Ban: Attacks that specifically OHKO a pokémon are not allowed. This includes moves like Horn Drill or Sheer Cold.
• Sleep Clause: Only one pokémon can be asleep at a time as a result of moves used by your opponent.
• Self-KO Clause: Moves that OHKO your pokémon may not be used on your last pokémon to force a tie.
• Battles will take place on shoddybattle.

2. TBA. I'm going to give people better chances to schedule. If nobody complains based on a sent PM, then the four better be there at the time sent.

edit: what you can do for people that can't make the draft is have them submit their ranking of pokemon they'd draft and just go down the list to the highest non selected one. just throwing that out there as an option. they might get screwed type wise or something but that's what they get for not being at the draft
