The Rock Column

Description: Deep within the confines of Mount Coronet, there lies a place unlike any other. This circular area is a flat cavebed that is 100 meters in diameter. In the center lies a huge column of rock 20 meters in diameter extending from the floor to the ceiling about 60 meters up (basically, the place is huge). Running up the column is a ledge about 5 meters thick that curls around it (Sort of like the thread in a screw). Seismic disturbances constantly coat the area in a thick sandstorm that can't be canceled due to the ceiling. Sadly, there's no water source for moves like Surf and weather moves cannot be used but everything else goes.

Summary: Eternal Sandstorm, Indoor Arena, No External Water Source.
I'll take Maxim's challenge.

K, you guys know how this works, right? Maxim, send out with your ability. Rediamond, send out with ability and orders. Maxim, orders. Me, ref.

Ok, let's start off strong with Korangon the Aron with Rock Head.

Let's Head Smash this guy to bits.

It's all on you, Grimer.
Dig~Mud Bomb~Dig.
The first time he uses Earthquake, Disable it.

Eh, forgot to specify sorry. Stench. The other one is useless.

Korangon: Hi friend! :D

Maxim: -_-, he's trying to fight us.

Korangon: Fine.

Maxim: Anyway, let's start off with an Earthquake to minimize damage to yourself. Next, try a Head Smash for massive damage, then finish off with Protect to avoid that second Dig.

Korangon: Can't we all just...get along?

Both Trainers: NO!

Maxim: (I just had to get a pacifist Aron -_-)

And we're off, hoping SoS remembers to take the permanent sandstorm into effect. Because that's important. Anyways, Korangon starts by leaping into the air, and smashing down face first onto the ground, creating a seismic shockwave that rattles the arena, and more importantly, Gumshoe, who shakes his... entire sludgy being like a bowlful of jelly. That's creepy as all hell. However, it doesn't stop Gumshoe from erasing all memory of how to jump and land on your face from Korangon's head, for a little while. Not to be outdone, Korangon RUUUUUUUUSHES Gumshoe as fast as his stubby little legs will carry him, and bashes into him, knocking him back a good few metres! What a hit! Gumshoe responds by throwing up a blast of mud into Korangon's eyes, which inflicts heavy damage due to his 4x weakness to the attack. He follows up by digging underground... Just as Korangon throws up a powerful, protective shield, blocking the Dig attack completely! Gumshoe simply bounces off the shield harmlessly. Tough break for Gumshoe, but Korangon had to expend a lot of energy to make that work...

Great work Korangon.

Let's start this round with a Double Team (4 clones), then use a Head Smash, and finally, finish off by using Take Down. If your energy gets below 25, use chill instead of Take Down

Summary:
Double Team (4 Clones)~Head Smash~Take Down

Alright, Grimer's known for not really having a solid shape, so let's abuse that here.

"Grimer, spread yourself out across the floor and spit the dirt/sludge from your body up into the air in a Mud Bomb. Due to being spread across the floor, the mud thrown up from this attack could realistically hit all of the clones. After that, go for a Dig attack."

This round looks set to be an interesting one, as Korangon begins to vibrate at insane speeds, creating 4 illusory copies of himself! Not to be outdone, Gumshoe begins to spread himself across the ground. Suddenly, I'm standing in a thin puddle of sludge. Charming. Korangon looks confused - what the hell does he do here? He smashes his head into the ground anyway, though it does reduced damage, due to Grimer being, essentially, a puddle right now. Makes sense to me. Grimer now fires off his Mud Bomb, but the attack comes from his mouth (ie. one spot) - thus, its chance to hit remains the same! Fortunately for Rediamond though, the Korangon said Bomb hits, is the real deal! And it appears some mud remains in his eyes. He may have some trouble hitting now! The rest of the clones dissipate as the real was hit. As Gumshoe reforms, Korangon rushes him like a boss, but unfortunately, goes straight past him and into the pillar! Good thing his head is so rocky... Gumshoe now burrows underground again (somehow), and strikes true now, no shield to protect the... Whatever the hell an Aron is meant to be.

Dig times three. As you're slower, EQ striking you while underground shouldn't be too much of a concern, as the EQ will come before you submerge.

I call hax -_-.

Anyway, let's try Double Team (4 clones) again, then Earthquake twice.

Korangon creates four more clones of himself, as Gumshoe dives underground. But when he comes up, he only manages to strike a clone, which immediately vanishes. Tough break. It gets worse for the sludge creature as Korangon has remembered how to jump, and smack his head into the ground to create seismic waves. Gumshoe doesn't enjoy it, but at least he wasn't underground when it happened! He dives under now, and surfaces to strike... Another clone! The real Korangon is running around with two clones now, and they blast Gumshoe with another seismic wave, which sends him hurtling into the air! The Grimer bounces off the rock pillar, and collapses to the floor, unconscious...

Airplane the Togepi is sent out automatically. Maxim, your orders.

Excellent Work Korangon (I love double team :D)

Maxim: Well, you're getting low on energy, so let's start by chilling.

Korangon: Of course I'm getting low on energy, I've been slamming my head into the ground!

Maxim: I know, but that has me thinking.

Korangon: Uh oh.

Maxim: That we should use a combination of Earthquake + Head Smash, basically, you go into the air to do Earthquake like normal, but then you Head Smash the ground to make an even bigger Earthquake. That should be a nice finale. If that combo cannot be done, use Head Smash twice instead

Korangon: Ok
Summary:
chill~Earthquake+Head Smash combo~nothing due to combo
If combo is illegal, simply use Head Smash twice instead of the combo.

Edit: crud

Uh... I'll be honest, that whole jumping and smashing into the ground thing was just me adding flavour to try and make it funnier... SO HEAD SMASH SPAM IT IS!

Rediamond, can you specify Airplane's ability?

True, but one has to be sure. Anyway, Maxim has requested a suspension until Sunday, as he is tied up until then. I will ref this round later today, and he will give his orders when he is able.

Sorry for all the lateness with this round. Shit happens, as they say. Anyhoo.

And we're back after a considerable hiatus. Korangon takes a breather as his new opponent takes the field. Airplane then creates a clone of herself, but it's solid, though hollow. A substitute! Korangon takes the offensive now, and rushes the fake Airplane, and gets a lucky hit, considering the mud in his eyes! But it shatters the doll completely, good thing Airplane took the time to breathe first... Korangon now pushes his luck with a second Head Smash, and scores a direct hit. Damn, this would NOT be happening to me -_- But this causes him to collapse from sheer exhaustion.
