Normal: Normal STAB; adapt comfortably to any surrounding after 3 actions. Able to use Outrage without losing focus.

Abilities:
Cute Charm: (Innate) This Pokemon’s natural cuteness causes Pokemon of the opposite gender in the same egg group to be attracted to it 30% of the time after striking with a contact move.
Technician: (Innate) This Pokemon is more skilled at performing weaker moves, causing any of their attacks that normally have 6 or less Base Attack Power to have their Base Attack Power multiplied by 1.5. (e.g. Aerial Ace goes from 6 to 9, Mach Punch goes from 4 to 6, etc.) The Energy Cost for a one-hit or two-hit attack is increased by one (1). Each hit in a multi-hit move is boosted by one (1) Base Attack Power, and the Energy Cost for multi-hit attacks is increased by two (2). Because Technician is a multiplier on single hit moves, its effect is applied to Base Attack Power before any additive effects.

Ghost: Ghost STAB; brief intangibility that nullifies Normal and Fighting-type attacks. Can move through walls for a brief period of time but must remain in motion. Superior senses in low light and inside dark buildings. Have no vision reduction in hazes.
Poison: Poison STAB; immunity to Poison/Toxic, see and breath through smog/smokescreens/haze uninhibited. Able to use Wrap and Bind without losing focus. Superior senses in urban settings.

Abilities:
Levitate: (Innate) This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Earth Power will have three (3) less Base Attack Power. Dig and Dive can strike a Levitating Pokemon if their user is over Size Class 4, has Levitate, is 3.5m or larger, or is a Flying-type. Otherwise Dig and Dive will miss. Ground moves can still hit. Levitate Pokemon will retain the Levitate trait when they use Skill Swap on an enemy, and will steal the opponent's ability (the user can specify if they want a foe or ally to gain Levitate from a Skill Swap.) If a Pokemon with Levitate uses Role Play, they will copy the opponent's abilities and retain Levitate.

Hmm... I think Tough Nut is a good match here. Show him what you got!

Welcome to ASB, Devoninja. But I don't ease up for newbies.

Leech Seed >>> Payback >>> Iron Head
If he uses WoW, use Protect once and shift actions down.

Alright let's try to minimize our damage taken

Confuse Ray -> Night Shade -> Disable Payback

If Payback fails due to confusion replace Disable with Will-O-Wisp

--------------------

Alright we have gathered two Poke-squads up in the Tourney Arena yet again for the beginner-est of all battles because there is an actual beginner, devoninja, competing in the match! How refreshing! devoninja's opponent is none other than Son_of_Shadoo, who can hopefully teach devoninja a few things along the way! In any case, devoninja releases Gastly for the first time ever, to which SoS responds with his Ferroseed, Tough Nut!

Gastly starts the action off by intensely Confusing the poor Ferroseed with a Confuse Ray because now is as good a time as any to do that! Tough Nut powers through the Confusion, though, and plants a few Leech Seeds somehow on the gaseous vapor that constitutes its opponent! Going on the offensive, Gastly then does mediocre damage with a Night Shade, aided in doing damage by Tough Nut itself, who gets so confused and turned around that it hurts itself in Confusion! Oh no! Nut quickly regroups and throws up a Protective barrier to buy it time to snap out of Confusion, which it does just as Gastly's Will-o-Wisp gets absorbed into the Protective wall, saving Nut from any unfortunate burns! As it stands, both Pokemon look to be in pretty good shape and fairly evenly matched!

---------------------

Action 1:

Gastly: Confuse Ray (-4 energy, Ferroseed Confused for 4 Actions)
Ferroseed: Leech Seed (-9 energy, Gastly Seeded for 6 Actions)

End of Action: Leech Seed (Gastly -3 HP)

Action 2:

Gastly: Night Shade (10 damage, -4 energy)
Ferroseed: Hurts self in Confusion (-4 HP, -3 energy, Confusion stage drops to 1 Action)

End of Action: Leech Seed (Gastly -3 HP, Ferroseed +3 HP)

Action 3:

Gastly: Will-o-Wisp (fails, -7 energy)

Keep it up. He's definitely at an advantage but we'll use status to gain an upper hand.

Hypnosis -> Will-O-Wisp -> Night Shade

If he uses Payback, change my next action to Disable Payback and push the queue down.

Hmm, I'm glad you understand how valuable status is in ASB. This is probably the most important lesson you'll learn in this battle.

Nitpick: Because of his sub, he should've used Disable A3.

Leech Seed >>> Payback + Payback combo >>> Iron Head (if combo fails obviously)

If Disable is used, Protect and push actions down, using a single Payback on A3.

SoS --> devoninja --> Korski

Well Boq, the odds are definitely against us. We have the type advantages, sure, but we're outnumbered, and our opponent is still quite healthy thanks to that flinchax. So we've got one chance. HAX LIKE YOU'VE NEVER HAXXED BEFORE!

Mud Slap >>> Ice Beam >>> Earthquake
If Larvitar uses Substitute A1, use Earthquake and push actions down.

Ok. We really don't want to lose our advantage to hax. Let's force him to use his backup plan. Maybe we'll get some hax of our own.
