Arena: Type Changing Arena
It's the standard arena, except somebody has implanted a strange device in the middle of the field! For the duration of the first round, this device is off. After the end of each round, though, it beeps and suddenly alters the elemental makeup of the arena, giving certain benefits to certain types and detriments to some other ones. Each time the makeup is altered, a random type is chosen. All attacking moves whose types hit the chosen type for super-effective damage have 2 more BAP, while all attacking moves whose types hit the chosen type for not very effective or zero damage have 2 less BAP.
And who did you bring this time?

Engineer Pikachu:
322.png

Numel (Fuji) (M)
Nature: Quiet (Special Attack increased by *, -15% Speed, -10% Evasion)

Type:
Fire / Ground
Fire STAB; immune to burn, emit a low glow in dark places, takes additional damage if active open flames are exposed to a water attack. Superior senses in volcanic or brushfire areas.

Ground STAB; Immune to all electrical attacks, can Dig through almost any substance, Evasive Digging reduced from 3 per action Energy Cost to 2 per action, superior senses in darkened cave surroundings.

Abilities:
Oblivious: (Innate) This Pokemon is incapable of being affected by Attract, Cute Charm, or Captivate.
Simple: (Innate) This Pokemon innately exaggerates the effect of stat boosts and drops to the point where they have double the effectiveness, but the same actual stage. (e.g. Swords Dance/Screech is still a 2 stage boost/drop but is calculated as 4 stages). Stat benefits/reductions still maximize at 6 effective stages.
Own Tempo (LOCKED): (Innate) This Pokemon moves at its own pace and when confused, it will never harm itself in confusion. If the Pokemon also has Tangled Feet, it will raise Accuracy by one (1) Stage.

Windows XP [Metang] (M)
Nature: Brave (+1 Atk, Spe/1.15, -10 Eva)
Type: Steel/Psychic
Steel: Steel STAB; Immune to Sandstorm, highly insusceptible to toxic attacks, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, can be magnetized. Superior senses in high-metal environments like construction sites or factories.
Psychic: Psychic STAB; less susceptible to blinding, more susceptible to sound-based assaults as far as locking on with Psychic attacks, can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Abilities:
Clear Body: (Innate) This Pokemon’s body structure makes it immune to status lowering moves used by opponents. (e.g. Intimidate, Growl, Screech etc.)
Light Metal (DW Locked): (Innate) The Pokemon's body is made of a lightweight but extremely strong alloy. It weighs half as much as other members of the species, but is equally sturdy. The Pokemon executes weak attacks much more effectively, adding +1 priority to all their attacks with 6 or less Base Attack Power (after other ability adjustments). Priority is applied to the summed Base Attack Power of a multi-hit move (e.g. Double Kick has priority at 6 BAP, Skill Link Bullet Seed doesn't at 15 BAP.)

Overcoat (DW Locked): (Innate) This Pokemon has a sturdy exterior that rebuffs the elements, making it immune to damage inflicted by bad weather. If the Pokemon is already immune to at least one (1) kind of weather by typing or a different ability, Overcoat reduces the Base Attack Power of all oncoming attacks by one (1).

Round 2, here we go! smashlloyd goes back to his trusty lead, Nubnuts the Pineco, while Engineer opts to change it up a bit, going to Fuji the Numel first! Fuji is fastest and roasts the pine cone with a Fire Blast! Nubnuts didn't like that, but he chooses to play it safe and sets up a Light Screen to lessen those blows in the future! Then he sprays Fuji with some Toxic, but a timely Protect blocks it! Fuji then throws another Fire Blast at Nubnuts, and while the Light Screen absorbs some of the blow it surely stings! Nubnuts responds offensively this time, nailing Fuji with a Take Down!

As the trainers prepare for the next round, the device in the middle of the arena starts to glow silver! Suddenly, the arena takes on a decidedly metallic feel! Next round any attacks that hit super-effective on steel will be more powerful, and anything that is resisted by it (ie practically everything else) will be weakened!

Nubnuts is out, and in his place is Windows XP! I remember him! Fuji quickly throws up a Protect hoping to dodge an expected Zen Headbutt, but Windows XP just chills, though I'm not sure what that achieved! Then, knowing that Fuji can't do that again, he strikes hard with a Zen Headbutt, taking advantage of the new properties of the arena to strike harder than usual! However, it's still not nearly has painful as the Fire Blast he takes in return with the Light Screen that Nubnuts had created having expired! Trying to even the score a bit, the Metang retaliates with a Take Down, but after taking a Lava Plume in response, things aren't looking good for Windows XP or smashlloyd! Then the device glows yet again, and this time everything takes on a sandy feel. Looks like it's the Ground type this round!

Spinner comes in with the daunting task of taking down two Pokemon, but he doesn't go on the offensive right away, instead opting to Thunder Wave Yukai! The weak jolt of electricity paralyzes the Dusclops, but that doesn't stop her with responding with some status of her own; a Will-O-Wisp that leaves the Klang burned! Looking to counteract the burn somewhat, Spinner uses Shift Gear to boost his Attack and greatly boost his Speed, but Yukai simply hits him with a Night Shade! Then Spinner goes back to the status plan with a Toxic, while Yukai goes for another Night Shade! Then the device changes yet again! Now the field has an eerie feeling to it, as we're on the Ghost type now! Yukai feels right at home, but will it give her an edge?

Shift Gear (5 actions)
Spinner decides to use Shift Gear again, but he can't get much more out of it than he already has. He does, however, boost his Speed! However, Yukai hammers him with a Fire Punch! Finally, Spinner retaliates, striking back with a Gear Grind, made easier by the effects of Shift Gear, but the damage is disappointing, and even Yukai's Night Shade does more. Regardless, Spinner goes for another Gear Grind, and when Yukai goes for a Flash her paralysis finally strikes, seizing up her body and leaving her fully paralyzed. Another flash, and this time the arena has an airy, floaty feel; it's Flying type this round!
