Post a Pokemon and set that counter the previous one listed. Be as creative as you like :) The aim of this is to help people learn how to beat certain threats and also develop new ones that might change the metagame :)

Make sure you not only post a set, but explain how that sets counters the pokemon that you are posting it in response to.

Koffing (M) @ Eviolite
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 196 HP / 236 Def / 76 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Clear Smog
- Will-O-Wisp
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

levitate + great overall physical bulk means drilbur can't touch this. will-o-wisp once you switch-in, then you can just spam clear smog to make sure they don't try and get all fancy with multiple sd boosts. almost a perfect counter. resttalk just helps it stay healthy and continue countering other shit, like scraggy!

[SET]
name: Support (Idk, just made it up :P)
move 1: Stun Spore
move 2: Encore / Taunt / Leech Seed
move 3: Cotton Guard / Taunt / Leech Seed
move 4: Giga Drain
item: Eviolite
ability: Prankster
nature: Bold
evs: 196 HP / 196 Def / 116 SpD

Well, I'm not sure if this set would be effective but it's what I came up with. Cottonee resists Drilbur's STAB and surely won't take much from Rock Slide, although, maybe at +2 it will. Which is why Cotton Guard is there. Cotton Guard boosts Cottonee's Def by 2 stages (Iirc, but maybe it was 3?). Stun Spore cripples Drilbur and other offensive mons, and Encore works great against Drilbur. Switch in on an SD, use priority Encore, and switch in a set-up sweeper or something. Taunt works great against other defensive stuff, I guess. Leech Seed is good for recovery, and that's also why GDrain is there. I think it can 3HKO Drilbur.

Anyways, I'm sure this set isn't that great, but I just threw it out there because Cottonee is seriously underrated but useful, Imo.

Edit: Ninja'd. Well, here's a Koffing counter.

[SET]
name: Sweeper
move 1: Psychic
move 2: Shadow Ball
move 3: Hidden Power [Fight] / Energy Ball
move 4: Protect / Substitute
item: Focus Sash / Life Orb
ability: Magic Guard
nature: Timid
evs: 76 HP / 236 SpA / 196 Spe

Abra is suppppperrrrr strongth. Easily OHKOs Koffing with STAB and basically, if it gets in for free, something's going to die.

edit: ok i need to find a new counter now

Vullaby!

[SET]
name: Defensive
move 1: Toxic
move 2: Dark Pulse
move 3: Roost
move 4: Taunt
item: Evolite
ability: Big Pecks
nature: Impish
evs: 36 HP / 236 Def / 236 SpD

This isn't the totally standard defensive Vullaby because I really like being able to hit things with moves that aren't Knock Off! Anyways, the idea is that Vullaby can hit Abra with Dark Pulse while it is stuck using Hidden Power to do some damage. Really though, Vullaby is a pretty underrated Pokemon who should probably be seeing some more use these days.

How about you guys start making reservation posts and post within like 30~ minutes (and if you go over i'll just delete)? That'll solve this issue

I will counter whatever GK uses to counter abra
EDIT: Snatch Shroomish looks sweet lol

[SET]
name: Dragon Dance
move 1: Dragon Dance
move 2: Crunch
move 3: Drain Punch
move 4: Hi Jump Kick / Zen Headbutt
item: Eviolite
ability: Shed Skin
nature: Jolly
evs: 236 Atk / 36 Def / 212 Spe

Only going with a standard set because Scraggy is fun/hard to think of counters for and it beats both Shroomish and Vullaby. Takes nothing from Dark Pulse and can Shed Skin off Toxic, while it outspeeds and can Dragon Dance at least once and then pummel Vullaby with Drain Punches and Hi Jump Kicks

move 3: Reflect / Knock Off
move 4: Hidden Power Flying
item: Eviolite
ability: Early Bird
nature: Bold
evs: 196 HP / 196 Def / 116 SpD

fun mon that can actually beat scraggy and other fighting types with its x4 fighting resist reflect and encore to fuck with them and STAB hp flying. i know i could have used mienfoo and shit but this is so much cooler

[SET]
name: Shell Smash
move 1: Shell Smash
move 2: Surf
move 3: Ancientpower
move 4: Hidden Power Fire
item: Life Orb
ability: Swift Swim
nature: Modest
evs: 36 Def / 200 SpA / 240 Spe

Switch in, Ancientpower. or Shell Smash if you feel lucky, it can take anything from Ledyba

move 3: Sucker Punch
move 4: Dark Pulse
item: Life Orb
ability: Dry Skin
nature: Lonely
evs: 188 Atk / 188 SpA / 116 Spe

resists anceintpower and is healed by surf, the best omanyte can do is hp:fire and if rain is up croagunk walls it. outspeeds and ohkos with vacuum wave.

move 3:Psychic
move 4:Recover
item: Eviolite
ability: Natural Cure
nature: Timid
evs: 240 Speed 240 SpA

Psychic OHKOes Croak and this guy takes little damage from everything due to lack of high power stab moves gunk has, can take advantage of time gunk exists (if it even decides to stay in) and spin hazards away. Recover insures damage wont stack up and kill :).

takes those water and psychic attacks no problem and sets up a sub on staryu. from there, it can destroy dumb people who keep staryu in with giga drain or wreak havoc with it's two p good STABS on the rest of their team. you can even be an annoying little fucker and put something to sleep.

Shellder (M) @ Eviolite
Trait: Skill Link
EVs: 236 Atk / 72 Def / 196 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Shell Smash
- Icicle Spear
- Ice Shard
- Rock Blast

Really more of a revenge-killer, Icicle Spear breaks the sub and kills that boy dead. Plus, if you can make a free turn or come in on a Physical attacker, Shellder can straight up steal games. It's walled by Bronzor, but Bronzor can't switch in since after a Smash, Icicle Spear and Rock Blast both do 2HP/hit, which 2HKOes factoring in SR. Ice Shard is also awesome for revenge-killing stuff like Taillow or Diglett that think they're so fantastic.

Magnemite @ Eviolite
Trait: Magnet Pull
EVs: 240 SpA / 240 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power Fire

Resists everything the :P-face throws at it and OHKOs back with Volt Switch or Thunderbolt. Volt Switch gives more momentum, while Flash Cannon and HP Fire grant coverage.

Diglett @ Life Orb
Trait: Arena trap
EV's: 36 HP/236 Atk/236 Spe
Jolly Nature (+Spe, - Atk)
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Sucker Punch
- Shadow Claw

laughs at electric moves, coming in immune and traps and OHKO's with eq.

Darumaka @ Oran Berry
36 HP/196 Atk/76 SpDef/196 Spe
Adamant / Hustle

Substitute
Belly Drum
Flare Blitz
Rock Slide

Fun set. It isn't 1hko'ed by any of Magnemite's moves and it easily outspeeds and 1hko's back with Flare Blitz (Oran Berry heals it enough to not be ko'ed by recoil damage after being hit with Volt Switch). Everything else is there just to attempt to make it an absolute BITCH to counter.

edit: Swapped to Adamant nature.
You speed tie with Magnemite. Volt Switch does over 60% to Darumaka, and even if you pull off a Belly Drum you're at ~10-20% and still at 14 Speed. I wouldn't call this a counter per se.

EDIT:

LICKITUNG!
name: Curse
move 1: Curse
move 2: Rest
move 3: Sleep Talk
move 4: Dragon Tail
item: Eviolite
ability: Cloud Nine
nature: Careful
EVs: 196 HP / 76 Def / 236 SpD

Larvesta just can't touch this! It will find its Flare Blitz doing smaller and smaller damage to the point where its set up. After Lickitung has successfully abused Larvesta it can dragon tail it hitting it for hard damage which is amplified if there are rocks / spikes on the field.

It's hard to actually counter something with dragon tail, but...

Mienfoo @ Life Orb
236 Atk/240 Spe
Naive / Regenerator

Hi Jump Kick
Stone Edge
Hidden Power [Ice]
Knock Off

It doesn't care how many boosts Lickitung gets, it will HJK it to oblivion. Knock Off causes it to lose survivability, and Regenerator means that Dragon Tail won't do any lasting damage.

Abra @ Focus Sash
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 240 SpA / 200 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Protect
- Psyshock
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power Fighting

Protect saves Abra from Fake Out, while Abra outruns and OHKOs with Psyshock. Shadow Ball and Hidden Power Fighting for coverage. Magic Guard + Focus Sash + Protect is REALLY annoying, and makes Abra an amazing revengekiller and wallbreaker.

Stunky @ Eviolite
Trait: Aftermath
EVs: 92 HP / 92 Atk / 60 Def / 188 SpD / 4 Spe
Careful Nature (+SpD, -SpA)
- Crunch
- Explosion
- Pursuit
- Suckerpunch

Walls abra, and while it wont be able to OHKO due to Focus sash, pursuit can hit it down to 1hp, and can sucker punch it dead at a later date. Eviolite gives it enough bulk to come in on Resisted Shadowballs and Neutral HP Fightings and still be at a reasonable life. Explosion lets it die with flare.

Also let it be known that the title of this thread endorses infant violence.

Also at the meinfoo set: I really think that slowpoke does it better. It hits on its weaker special stat side while retaining more physical bulk to take boosted Dragon tails with regenerator to accomplish the ame thing.

Hippopotas @ Eviolite
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 212 HP / 20 Atk / 212 Def / 20 SpD / 20 Spe
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Slack Off
- Toxic / Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Crunch

Hippopotas is bulky enough to take everything Stunky can throw at it, while being able to Slack Off the damage and OHKO back with EQ. Crunch is for coverage against stuff like Natu or Gastly. Toxic and Stealth Rock are dependant on your team, both are amazing support moves.

Lileep
Lileep (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Storm Drain
EVs: 148 HP / 220 Def / 140 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Energy Ball
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Recover
- Stockpile

It takes very little from attacks. Stealth Rock? Proceed to set up. Toxic? Hit its weaker SpD with E-ball. Not the most original but it's good.

name: Stall Breaker

move 2: Toxic

move 4: Roost
item: Eviolite
ability: Magic Bounce
nature: Timid
evs: 116 HP / 36 SpA / 76 Def / 76 SpD / 196 Spe

Walls Lillep all day and cripples it with a status. U-turn kills double switches if something decides to come in and can assist something setting up on a toxiced lileep. HP Flying hits the ever common Mienfoo and fighting friends (especially timburr that want a guts boost), also damages Lileep while Roost is great recovery and insures that Energy Balls and HP Fire won't stack up and kill the bird too quickly.
