ASB Tournament Arena
Surrounded by thousands of screaming Pokemon fans, the ASB Arena can be best described as a standard Pokemon battling arena. In the center of the arena lies a dirt-based floor outlined to show two separate sides (with a white Pokeball center). Surrounding the dirt is a moat filled with water. The moat is about fifteen feet wide and creates a perimeter around the dirt arena. The arena itself is eighty feet wide, one hundred feet long. All moves, weathers, and abilities are legal for the match, since it's an outdoor arena with a large water source and packed dirt. Pokemon must stay in the arena (or the dimensions of the arena in the case of Flying Pokemon, who cannot leave the arena and cannot fly higher than sixty feet). This prevents Pokemon from injuring the crowd watching the tournament. There are no outside interruptions by fans, Pokemon, or other elements not associated with the current battle.

Mold Breaker: (Innate) Whenever this Pokemon attacks, it emits an invisible, blindingly quick pulse preceding the attack that disables the opponents natural abilities (e.g. Levitators plummet towards the ground before Earthquake hits, Volt Absorb will not absorb electric attacks, Clear Body does not prevent stat-drops, etc.)
Unnerve (DW LOCKED): (Innate) The Pokemon's presense causes immense tension in the opponent, preventing them from eating a held Berry. Natural Gift may still be used.

Insomnia: (Innate) This Pokemon is immune to sleep induced by other Pokemon. It's normal state of sleeplessness makes it take 1 less damage and energy/action from Ghost Curse. If it is put to sleep by a Pokemon with Mold Breaker it will wake up the next action. If a Pokemon with Insomnia also has Vital Spirit, its accuracy is raised by one (1) stage permanently.
Sniper (DW): (Innate) This Pokemon has deadly accuracy and strikes sensitive points, increasing its critical hit bonus from +3 to +5 on single attacks, +2 to +3 on two-hit attacks, and +1 to +2 on multi-hit attacks.

Nature: Naive (+15% Speed, +30% Acc; -SpD)
Type: Psychic
Psychic: Psychic STAB; less susceptible to blinding, more susceptible to sound-based assaults as far as locking on with Psychic attacks, can lift and throw opponents with Psychic attacks regardless of weight difference. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Abilities:
Synchronize: Pokemon with this ability mentally link their condition to an opposing Pokemon and pass on any status inflicted on them to their foe. Due to their body structure, Poison types cannot be poisoned and Fire types cannot be burned in this manner.
Inner Focus: When an opponent attempts to flinch this Pokemon, it stands firm and continues its attack. If it has another ability that would be activated by flinching, that ability activates.
Magic Guard (DW): This Pokemon is infused with a powerful psycho-electric energy that makes it immune to damage from Spikes, Stealth Rock, Hail, Sandstorm, Leech Seed, Poisoning, and Burn. It can still attack itself in confusion, but will not take any damage from it. Additionally, the energy protects the Pokemon from its own reckless recoil attacks. Toxic still increases in damage each round, although if Magic Guard is in effect the Pokemon will not suffer any damage.

Poor little David is basically quaking in his boots before he even makes it onto the field, and Lendys is literally licking his chops at the sight. It's all the speedy little Psychic type can do to form the biggest Substitute he can muster in an attempt to stave off the beating for at least a little while. Lendys Assures him that everything will be ok, only he does so by smaking the doll almost clear in half with the weaker form of the attack. Gulp.

David does actually pack some potent offensive stats of his own, but without the necessary type coverage he is only able to scratch the dragon with a neutral Psyshock. Lendys responds by actually using Scratch to see the end of the substitute. Yes thats right, Scratch actually did that much damage.

David knows the end is nigh and channels all his bad emotions from the moment into a Shadow Ball and hurls it at Fraxure. Basically all this does is ensure that Lendy's second Assurance hits with maximum power. This shouldn't take much longer...

Through some mismatch of priorities Lendys is able to act first to kick off the second round of this battle and takes advantage with a Slash. Man are Dave's downright horrible defensive stats making Fraxure's shallow movepool look mighty impressive. David knows that most hope is lost so he wants to go out with a bang via a Super Psyshock! The move does hit with some force but its still a long way from saving him here.

Needing to rest after such a move David actually ensures a little more time in the spacious ASB arena because once again Lendys' Assurance is underpowered. Don't tell the dragon I said that though, he seems to hit hard.

David tries in vain to at least bring this battle to a respectable position with another Psyshock but no, he is getting completely owned. Add in the shame of being knocked out with Slash of all things (who even uses that move?) and he better put these counters to use. They came at the cost of his manhood.
