Welcome one and all to the very first BW2 OU tournament here at this fine institution known as Smogon. The release of Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 in Japan has shaken up the OU metagame considerably, and throughout this tournament, players have had the opportunity to battle in this completely new tier. After six rounds of fierce competition, we have finally arrived to the finals, where metagame changer xtranus will have to face off against two of the finest players known to Germany, Ginku and Lohgock, with the former said to be black according to an ever reliable source: a drunken CrashingBoomBang. Who will win? Will Iconic ever stop pretending to be on vacation just so he can take control of this OP? Why did it take Bloo and hour to find a picture of a Gothitelle? Only time will tell. Good luck to each finalist!

Tournament Rules:
  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
  • Standard OU.
  • Best of one, single elimination.
  • BW2 move tutor moves are allowed.
  • Salac Berry is allowed.
  • Soul Dew is banned on Latios and Latias.
  • Keldeo, Landorus-T, Tornadus-T, and Thundurus-T are all allowed. *NEW: Genesect is also allowed*
  • Darkrai, Shaymin-S, Deoxys, Deoxys-A, Manaphy, Blaziken, Garchomp, Excadrill, Thundurus, Kyruem-B, and Kyruem-W are all banned.
  • If tier changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
  • Battles should take place on Pokemon Showdown! unless both players agree otherwise.*
Battle Clauses:
  • Evasion Clause
  • OHKO Clause
  • Sleep Clause
  • Species Clause
  • Soul Dew Clause
  • Timed Battle
  • Team Preview
Deadline:

There's no deadline but get it done as soon as possible, and be sure to let us know when the battle is taking place (also save the replay!). Best of luck friends.
