Introduction:

Due to changing usage statistics, the lower tiers are constantly changing. UU, RU, and NU are never the same every three months. However, do you ever wonder how BW UU would be like if the tier would still be updated? If so, then this tournament is something for you! This tournament will be a BW UU tournament, with one twist: one or more OU Pokemon will be released and will be usable each round.

Tournament Rules:
  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
  • BW UU tournament: Pokemon listed here as Uber, OU, or BL are banned unless released that round.
  • Each round, one or a few OU Pokemon will be allowed usage in your BW UU matches. Using it / them is optional.
  • Best of one.
  • Single elimination.
  • All matches must be played on Pokemon Showdown! unless both players agree otherwise.
  • No johning.
Battle Clauses:
  • Sleep Clause. A player cannot put two or more different opposing Pokémon to sleep using attacks that induce sleep to opposing Pokémon.
  • Evasion Clause. A player cannot increase their pokémon's evasion stat with a move that specifically increases evasion. Items or indirect boosts do not break this clause.
  • OHKO Clause. Players cannot use moves that have a chance of instantly KO opposing Pokémon. For example, Horn Drill is an illegal move to have on a Pokémon's move set.
  • Soul Dew Clause. The item Soul Dew is banned in the OU environment.
  • Species Clause. You cannot use the same Pokemon twice on the same team. For example, you cannot use two Koffings.
  • Wifi Battle Clause. Team preview must be enabled.
