pyrzi actually won with his tactics ruined? [Warstory]

So there i was, messing around the ladder with noobs who use obvious leads
that are easy to kill off...
Until I decided to make a warstory out of one battle, it sure was a close call.

For the sake of entertainement I shall not reveal finalshot's team.
NOT LISTED: LEFTIES, RECOIL NOTES, PRESSURE

My moves will be colored Dark Green
finalshot's moves will be colored Dark Blue/Purple
Chat is Dark Red

Rules: Ladder Match, Sleep Clause, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, Evasion Clause, Species Clause, Strict Damage Clause

pyrzi sent out Bronzong (lvl 100 Bronzong).
finalshot sent out Jolteon (lvl 100 Jolteon ♂).
Jolteon used Substitute.
Jolteon lost 25% of its health.

Bronzong used Earthquake.
It's super effective!
Jolteon's substitute faded!

After seeing my opponent's lead, I knew exactly what to expect. Bronzong glared at the spiny, yellow dog
with it's magnificently mechanic eyeballs ready to take out the Jolteon's Substitute. It gathered
all of its weight and slammed the ground hard, creating an Earthquake. The substitute had no chance of remaining.

finalshot switched in Gliscor (lvl 100 Gliscor ♂).
Bronzong used Earthquake.
It doesn't affect Gliscor...

I kinda... Didn't expect that but a silly Gliscor would not hinder my plans by one bit unless it figures out my
little secret that has cost many, many Heatrans - both lead and switch-in - their lives...
I was either facing a dumb player or an extremely good predictor.

Gliscor used Earthquake.
It's super effective!
Bronzong lost 65% of its health.

Bronzong used Gyro Ball.
Gliscor lost 32% of its health.

How did he know!

pyrzi: HOW DID YOU KNOW
finalshot: uh o predicted it
pyrzi: I hate you.

Gliscor used Earthquake.
It's super effective!
Bronzong lost 35% of its health.

pyrzi's Bronzong fainted.

5-6(finalshot)

Indeed I hate him. Up to this point this man has been the first player ever who has figured out my little trick
without using Fire moves first.

pyrzi switched in Porygon2 (lvl 100 Porygon2).
Porygon2 traced Gliscor's Hyper Cutter!

Gliscor used Earthquake.
Porygon2 lost 35% of its health.

Porygon2 used Ice Beam.
It's super effective!
Gliscor lost 68% of its health.
finalshot's Gliscor fainted.

5-5

Not much to comment about this; Every Gliscor falls, unless the rare kind with a Yache Berry, from an Ice Beam à mon
Porygon2.

finalshot switched in Jolteon (lvl 100 Jolteon ♂).
Jolteon used Thunderbolt.
Porygon2 lost 41% of its health.

Porygon2 used Ice Beam.
Jolteon lost 32% of its health.

As my Virtual goose-duck hybrid had not experienced a Thunderbolt from a Jolteon before I had no idea how much damage
it would deal. Looks like I underestimated my opponent by a long shot.

Jolteon used Thunderbolt.
Porygon2 lost 36% of its health.
pyrzi's Porygon2 fainted.

4-5(finalshot)

Well there it goes; At least he didn't AIM 2 DA HORRN.

pyrzi switched in Dugtrio (lvl 100 Dugtrio ♀).
Dugtrio used Earthquake.
It's super effective!
Jolteon lost 43% of its health.
finalshot's Jolteon fainted.

4-4

My Skymin's survivability is dependant on the death of enemy's Jolteon. I watch as my Dugtrio digs a large ravine around
Jolteon, but then I remembered something... Extremely weird. My Dugtrio was banded, how the hell did I outspeed? finalshot
must have been tinkering with HP EVs too much.

finalshot switched in Kingdra (lvl 100 Kingdra ♂).
images

Ugh, a revevnge-killer for a revenge-killer. I feared this might be a DD-Outrage, so I...

Dugtrio used Earthquake.
Kingdra lost 64% of its health.

Kingdra used Surf.
It's super effective!
A critical hit!
Dugtrio lost 100% of its health.
pyrzi's Dugtrio fainted.

[Unnecessary Critical hit is unnecessary]
...Sacrificed Dugtrio in order to weaken it for my...
(4-3, finalshot)
pyrzi switched in Spiritomb (lvl 100 Spiritomb ♂).

Aah, the star of the team. Hard to kill, very useful immunities, and best of all, Nasty Plot.

Kingdra used Yawn.
Spiritomb became drowsy!

Spiritomb used Shadow Ball.
Kingdra lost 36% of its health.
finalshot's Kingdra fainted.

finalshot switched in Arcanine (lvl 100 Arcanine ♂)

3-3

Fuck you, I'm not gonna sacrifice my Spiritomb to defeat a mere Arcanine. Well, here goes nothing:

pyrzi switched in Marowak (lvl 100 Marowak ♂).
Arcanine used Flare Blitz.
Marowak lost 57% of its health.
Arcanine lost 19% of its health.

2-3(finalshot)

I knew Marowak would survive; That lad can stand anything mixed/physical Lucario throws at it!

Arcanine used Flare Blitz.
A critical hit!
Marowak lost 43% of its health.
pyrzi's Marowak fainted.
Arcanine lost 14% of its health.

See chat below\/ \/

pyrzi: Nay mate, I rather let my bonecrusher fall before I let my phantom sleep.
pyrzi switched in Spiritomb (lvl 100 Spiritomb ♂).
Arcanine used Flare Blitz.
Spiritomb lost 63% of its health.
Arcanine lost 20% of its health.

Spiritomb used Shadow Ball.
Arcanine lost 47% of its health.
finalshot's Arcanine fainted.

2-2

Aah, the sweet smell of victory is starting to gather around my ever-so-sensitive nose...

finalshot switched in Mismagius (lvl 100 Mismagius ♂).
Mismagius used Thunderbolt.

Spiritomb lost 31% of its health.
Spiritomb used Shadow Ball.
It's super effective!
Mismagius lost 99% of its health.

images

...But then some jerk throws a fucking big pile of pigs' shit at me that goes by the name "1% left no sash lol"

Mismagius used Thunderbolt.
Spiritomb lost 19% of its health.
pyrzi's Spiritomb fainted.

1-2(finalshot)

Goddammit, does 1% damage hax HAVE to attack me by NOW?

pyrzi switched in Shaymin-s (lvl 100 Shaymin-s).
Shaymin-s used Air Slash.
Mismagius lost 1% of its health.
finalshot's Mismagius fainted.

1-1

I had absolutely no idea what was his next Pokémon. Sure I could have Seed Flared, but what if he had a Tran or something
left? I looked up Arceus' pic from Serebii and started praying...

finalshot switched in Glaceon (lvl 100 Glaceon ♂).

'GG' was my first thought. I was about to smell that shit from Glaceon's ass...

Shaymin-s used Air Slash.
Glaceon lost 72% of its health.
Glaceon flinched!

:happybrain:
But instead, Skymin ended up raping Glaceon with HAX in all three holes.

pyrzi: fuck yeah hax
Shaymin-s used Air Slash.
Glaceon lost 28% of its health.
finalshot's Glaceon fainted.

pyrzi wins!
pyrzi: gg
finalshot: aw not kool legendary
finalshot has left the room.

Take that jerk! How dare you spoil my ever-so-magnificent team...
But does Smogon want to know what this team actually does? Yeah, it utilises TRICK ROOM. I had no chances of setting it up, expect
on those turns when Jolteon was in against Porygon2.

Props:
-My whole team being able to do something without Trick Room
-finalshot for great prediction
-No stalling
-Spiritomb shitting on the BL tier

Slops:
-Not being able to set up Trick Room
-Marowak and Bronzong for being useless

Will, not a very bad warstory. Although you can use some more commentary and prediction, I found the pictures so freakin' funny.
Congras ;)

Apart from the initial total guess that your Bronzong had Heatproof (which, unless I'm missing something, can't have been any more than a lucky guess) the game was completely devoid of predictions. It is literally 'Pokemon kills Pokemon' with very little insight into your moves, and very little strategic play at all.

The pictures were a nice touch, but a battle with only 2 switches the entire game doesn't make for a good warstory.
:/

Yeah, but when you haven't got TR up, you don't really have any sort of momentum and so you need to switch more.

EDIT: Giving away the winner of the battle in your title makes it slightly anticlimatic too :s

The comments were entertaining, if too short. The battle far from it. There was zero prediction. No switching. Nothing unpredictable except for the Heatproof Zong, which didn't even matter. In addition, you gave away the ending in the title. That meant no suspense at the end with the Glaceon. Wartstories need to be dynamic and unpredictable. This was just Pokemon hitting each other.

God this was terrible. There was no prediction involved, with it being a 100% hit-and-run warstory. The sprites at the top could of been nicer too.

This warstory earns a single star only for having happy brain at the end of the warstory. Everything else was a bit lackluster.

1 star.

No switching or predicting made it a bit of a ... "meh" battle, pictures and commentary were decent though.

Maybe it was just me, but I don't like finding out the victor in the title...

I'm going to risk coming off as an ass here, but I feel like no one else is likely to say it...

The biggest problem with this warstory was your tone in describing it.

"So there i was, messing around the ladder with noobs who use obvious leads that are easy to kill off..."

"
Unnecessary Critical hit is unnecessary"

" Goddammit, does 1% damage hax HAVE to attack me by NOW?"

You honestly sound very arrogant and pretentious. A fair number of your comments seem to actually be complaints rather than informative expression of your thoughts. The pictures could maybe have worked if the rest of the warstory was quite good, but in combination with the rest of the warstory, only added to the tone problem.

Obviously, the battle needs to be better too, and more substantial comments for your predictions and so on are very important, but even with those improvements I can never truly enjoy a warstory if the author comes off in a bad way.

I'm sorry, I really don't feel this battle was worth a warstory. A lot of Bronzong carry heatproof (from what I've witnessed recently) to "fool" their opponent.

Other than the pictures and such, it was a rather generic and dull battle.

Not to sound like a complete asshole, but I get the feeling your opponent had very little grasp of the current metagame. Earthquaking a Bronzong, especially when 82.1% them were immune to it in October, is an extremely uninformed, albeit this time, lucky, course of action as opposed to smart prediction, especially not seeing the rest of your team first. Things like leaving Gliscor in on Porygon2 when he had little reason to sacrifice it (not to mention he had multiple ice resists on the team) and having a Jolteon slower than Dugtrio further leads me to believe he had no idea what he was doing. Did he not know what EVs were? I don't see how any effective Jolteon set could run less speed than 373/340. Hell, if you don't want to tie with other 130s, at least beat Timid Skymin.
finalshot: aw not kool legendary
Was just icing on the cake.

The pictures were cool, but the story bordered on pathetic. Cummon guys, surely you can do better than an entire game of revenge-kills.

And, for god's sake do some predicting will you?!?!?!

Why do you "hate him?" He just made a good play, regardless of whether or not it was a mistake/stupidity/lack of knowledge of Pokémon. That's not a reason to really hate someone. Maybe you misportrayed your feelings by using that word?

Good try... but, if I were to be honest, this sucked :(. No prediction nor switching first off. Next, you... Gyro Ball Gliscor because...? Finally, "no stall" isn't exactly somethhng to be happy about >.>.

Also, your avatar really sends frikken shivers down my spine... please, for the love of everything right, change it. Gardevoir's not even in the human-shape breeding group T_T.
