Sign-up method and tournament approved by Earthworm
Welcome to the StreetPKMN Tournament, hosted by jumpluff and cohosted by Igor / Rodan! This was held before back in 2007 by Mekkah. Street Pokémon is 'no rules'. That's right, no rules, no tiers, no Final Destination. Nothing except Timed Battle! Pokémon, no holds barred. Sounds like chaos, right? It is, and you can run absolutely anything, but you have to prepare for what your opponent could be exploiting too. Remember, clauses like Sleep and Species are all gone, and anything is able to be used, so winning will require you to be creative! That being said, just because something's in the spirit of fun doesn't mean you shouldn't play competitively!
This tournament will consist of 64 players and is single elimination. (Standard format.) There are only two clauses relevant. Extended clause is necessary to allow Arceus use. The other is optional: Timed Battle, though if both players agree to have it off then they may.
Battles must be fought on Smogon University or CAP. The winner needs to post in the thread for the result and the loser may post to confirm. Logs should always be saved anyway in case a dispute comes up. Disputed matches will be decided by the host (with help from the tournament directors where necessary) based on what evidence is available. If no result is posted by deadline, the victory will be decided by activity; if (in)activity is equal, it's a coin flip.
To join, post something indicating you're entering. The thread will be open for approximately 48 hours. Players will be randomised (so no first-come, first-serve), though some players asked me for reservations prior to the sign-ups and they'll be upheld.
