Fighting Arceus

[OVERVIEW]

Great offensive stats, overall defenses that are better than most dedicated walls, and a wide movepool all make Arceus a top-notch threat in Ubers. Furthermore, Fighting Arceus has several advantages over the other formes of Arceus. Firstly, Fighting Arceus lacks common weaknesses, which makes it rather hard to take down, especially if it has set up a few Calm Minds. Resistances to common attacking types like Dark, Rock, and Bug also allow Fighting Arceus to switch into attacks with relative ease. However, Fighting Arceus isn't without its cons. Fighting-type STAB is not that great to have in Ubers thanks to the popularity of Psychic-types. Nevertheless, Fighting Arceus should not be taken lightly, as it is still a threat every team should prepare for.

move 4: Recover

nature: Timid
evs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Like every other forme of Arceus, Fighting Arceus possesses those awesome base 120 stats across the board, and is blessed with a wide special movepool, with access to coveted moves like Calm Mind and Recover. All of this makes Fighting Arceus a fearsome boosting sweeper. Fighting Arceus separates itself from the pack with its fairly unique typing, which gives it some oddly useful resistances and few weaknesses. All of this comes together to make Fighting Arceus one of the better users of Calm Mind in Ubers.

Judgment is the primary STAB move, and can severely dent any Pokemon that doesn't resist it after Fighting Arceus has notched up two Calm Minds. Two Calm Minds propels Fighting Arceus's naturally great base Special Attack stat to a mammoth 554. Ice Beam widens Fighting Arceus's coverage, and hits several important Uber sweepers like Zekrom, Groudon, Rayquaza, Garchomp, and Shaymin-S for super effective damage. Volcarona and Chandelure are the only Pokemon that resist this combination of Fighting and Ice, and fortunately, neither are seen much in Ubers due to their own disabilities. Dark Pulse allows Fighting Arceus to hit Ghost-types, which are immune to Fighting Arceus's primary STAB, for super effective damage. It also hits the horde of Psychic-types in Ubers like Mewtwo, Mew, and Psychic Arceus, for super effective damage. However, Ice Beam is generally the better option because of its higher Base power and specific coverage. Maximum investment in HP along with Recover is used to make Arceus as bulky as possible. It also helps Arceus bag more Calm Mind boosts.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Since Fighting is an excellent STAB to have in Ubers, Fighting Arceus can run a Modest nature with maximum investment in attack which allows Fighting Arceus to comfortably 2HKO Chansey and Blissey with Stealth Rock, 2HKO Wobbuffet with Dark Pulse and has a 87% chance to OHKO ExtremeKiller Arceus with Judgment after factoring in Stealth Rock damage.

Ho-Oh can counter Fighting Arceus very well. Armed with a titanic base 154 Special Defense and a base 106 HP, it is resistant to Judgment and laughs at Ice Beam. Ho-Oh is also one the few Uber Pokemon that has access to a STAB Flying-type move: Brave Bird. A Brave Bird from Ho-Oh can OHKO Fighting Arceus provided Ho-Oh is equipped with a Life Orb. However, Ho-Oh pays dearly for its typing, and will lose 50% of its health every time it switches in if Stealth Rock is on the field. Shaymin-S is another one of the few Pokemon used in Ubers that has access to a Flying-type STAB move. It also outspeeds Arceus and can 2HKO Fighting Arceus with Air Slash if it has been unable to get any Calm Minds prior. Due to Air Slash's high flinch rate, which is further enhanced by Serene Grace, this means that most times, Arceus will not be able to make a move before getting taken out. Even so, Shaymin-S has to be wary of Ice Beam. A Psystrike from offensive Mewtwo will always OHKO Fighting Arceus. Powerful Choice Scarf Pokemon like Terrakion or Kyogre make good partners to Fighting Arceus. Terrakion can easily check Ho-Oh and Shaymin-S with its STAB Stone Edge. However, Shaymin-S is rather annoying to deal with due to Seed Flare and Air Slash's flinch chance. Because of this, Lugia can also act as a good partner to Fighting Arceus thanks to its immense bulk, access to Reflect, and Pressure to eventually PP stall Ho-Oh out of its Sacred Fire PP. It can also Whirlwind away any Substitutes set up by Shaymin-S and can blast it with a 4x super effective Ice Beam.

Pokemon like Forretress, Deoxys-S, and Ferrothorn can all set up entry hazards reliably and are good partners to Fighting Arceus. Stealth Rock is especially helpful for Fighting Arceus as it strips Ho-Oh of 50% of its health every time it switches in. Fighting Arceus boasts resistance to some common attacking types in Ubers namely, Rock, Bug, and Dark. This makes Fighting Arceus an excellent check to Pokemon like Tyranitar, Scarf Terrakion, and Rock Arceus. Fighting Arceus is resistant to both of Tyranitar's STABs and can OHKO it with a Judgment. Terrakion fares in the same way, and is smashed to pieces by a Judgment. Rock Arceus loses due to its natural type disadvantage. It must be noted that Fighting Arceus is a good partner to Ho-Oh since it checks the Rock-types Ho-Oh hates. In addition, Fighting Arceus is resistant to Stealth Rock. This allows it to switch in and out of battle quite often.

[SET]
name: Support
move 1: Will-O-Wisp / Toxic
move 2: Judgment
move 3: Recover
move 4: Ice Beam / Dark Pulse / Roar
item: Fist Plate
nature: Timid
evs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Fighting Arceus may be an excellent Calm Mind sweeper, but it is equally adept at taking on a more supportive role. Arceus has a great support movepool, boasting access to moves like Recover, Will-O-Wisp, and Stealth Rock. Fighting Arceus's great bulk, excellent 120/120/120 defenses, and lack of common weaknesses all help it in its role.

Judgment has good neutral coverage in the Uber tier and does respectable damage even when unboosted thanks to Arceus's great base 120 Special Attack stat and STAB. Dark Pulse hits the Ghost-types in Ubers which are immune to Judgment. Ice Beam has great coverage and is especially useful for hitting the ubiquitous Dragon-types in Ubers. Will-O-Wisp can cripple any physical attacker and helps Fighting Arceus take physical hits better. Toxic can be used over Will-O-Wisp and really hinders the ability of walls to sponge hits. Toxic can also be used to bring down extreme bulky Pokemon like Groudon and Giratina-O who lack reliable recovery. Since Poison-types are rare in Ubers and Steel-types will never switch in, Toxic will almost always cripple something when used. Roar can be used to phaze out other Pokemon trying to set up on Arceus. It is best when used in tandem with entry hazards as it allows Fighting Arceus to rack up entry hazard damage. Thanks to Recover, Arceus can heal up during battle, increasing its overall bulkiness.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Arceus is also capable of setting up Stealth Rock if the move cannot be fit onto another member of the team. However, it is not recommended that Fighting Arceus run Stealth Rock, as there are other Pokemon like Groudon or Forretress that can do the job better. Substitute can be run, and it helps Arceus protect itself from debilitating status; it also helps Fighting Arceus scout for possible counters. Arceus can use Perish Song to beat win-condition sweepers like Calm Mind Kyogre. It can also set up Reflect to support the team if needed.

This set has massive issues with Ho-Oh and Mewtwo, more so than the Calm Mind set. Ho-Oh laughs at all of Fighting Arceus's attacks and OHKOes with Brave Bird. Psystrike from Mewtwo will down Fighting Arceus as well. Mewtwo is also resistant to Fighting Arceus's STAB. Shaymin-S can also 2HKO Arceus with Air Slash while Fighting Arceus cannot OHKO back without Ice Beam. Pokemon like Tyranitar and Scarf Terrakion help keep Ho-Oh at bay. Scarf Terrakion has the added bonus of outspeeding Ho-Oh as well as Shaymin-S and killing them both with Stone Edge. In spite of this, Terrakion shouldn't be switching in blindly for fear of being burnt by Sacred Fire or getting mowed down by a Seed Flare. Lugia and Giratina can wall Ho-Oh quite well and can KO it with Toxic or phaze it out. Lugia is also resistant to Psychic attacks while Giratina is a terrific spinblocker.

[Other Options]

A Sword Dance set can be used with Brick Break and Shadow Force along with Recover. Earthquake can also be run for its great neutral coverage. However, it must be noted that this kind of set is done better by Normal Arceus and Ghost Arceus. Arceus has a huge support movepool and has no dearth of options. It can set up dual screens but Lugia does this job better. Fighting Arceus can also use Cosmic Power to boost its defenses.

[Checks and Counters]

Ho-Oh is a great counter to Fighting Arceus thanks to its huge Special Defense and HP. It resists Judgment and barely takes any damage from Ice Beam or Dark Pulse. It gets Brave Bird to OHKO Fighting Arceus and even has access to Recover or Roost to heal off any recoil damage taken. Ho-Oh's legendary companion, Lugia, also walls Arceus quite nicely; it barely takes any damage from any of Fighting Arceus's attacks, can set up Light Screen to further reduce the damage it takes, and proceed to just outstall Arceus with a combination of Toxic and Roost. If Arceus tries to set up, Lugia can just blow Arceus away with a Whirlwind. If Fighting Arceus runs Ice Beam as its coverage move, Wobbuffet becomes a massive pain as it just Encore Fighting Arceus into Calm Mind or Recover.

Mewtwo can outspeed Fighting Arceus, and offensive variants can OHKO with Psystrike. Mewtwo is resistant to Judgment, and Dark Pulse will only 2HKO if it's unboosted. Defensive Mewtwo can also use Taunt to prevent Arceus from using Recover or setting up. Shaymin-S is resistant to Judgment and can 2HKO Fighting Arceus with a speedy Air Slash. Be warned though, if Fighting Arceus is lucky enough not to flinch, an Ice Beam will have Shaymin-S crying. Psychic Arceus is a good counter to Fighting Arceus; both can Calm Mind up, but the war will be won by Psychic Arceus thanks to its type advantage and due to Psyshock inflicting physical damage (so Calm Mind will not matter). Latias can counter Fighting Arceus perfectly with Calm Mind and Psyshock.. Calm Mind Kyogre can also defeat Fighting Arceus in a similar manner. Reshiram can come in on a Will-O-Wisp from the support set and 2HKO Arceus with its awesome Blue Flare. Jirachi is not OHKOed by any attack and can cripple Fighting Arceus with Thunder Wave and then take it out with Zen Headbutt or repeated Iron Heads.

Yo.

Just read your analysis on Fighting Arceus, and I would like to make a few corrections.

- On the Calm Mind set, you stated that two Calm Minds boost Arceus' Special Attack to 678. However, you need max SpA EVs in order to do so (instead of 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe). Maybe the EV Spread should be something like 80 HP / 252 SpA / 176 Spe since this allows you to maximize Arceus' SpA while allowing you to still outspeed base 110s?

Also, I was wondering if a Swords Dance set might work:
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Brick Break
move 3: Stone Edge/Shadow Claw
move 4: Recover
item: Fist Plate
nature: Adamant
evs: 4 HP / 252 Att / 252 Spe
Dunno if Terakion outclasses this but Arceus is much bulkier compared to Terakion and does not share the weaknesses that Terakion does (excluding Flying). Arceus' bulk should allow him to Swords Dance more than once unlike Terakion though.

This exact set was tested and rejected for lacking enough power by Great Sage and a few others.

  • Judgment is the primary STAB moves and can severely dent any pokemon not resisting it after Fighting Arceus has notched up two Calm Minds. Two Calm Minds propels Fighting Arceus' already great Base Special Attack Stat to a mammoth 678.

  • The set has minimum Special Attack. After two Calm Minds, the Special attack stat is 554.

Dark Pulse allows Fighting Arceus the Ghost types which wall for super effective damage. But since the most common Ghost type in Ubers is Giratina, Ice Beam is generally a better option because of its higher power and better coverage. Maximum investment in HP along with Recover is used to make Arceus as bulky as possible. It also helps Arceus bag more Calm Mind boosts.

Dark Pulse also hits Psychic types such as Mewtwo, Mew and Psychic Arceus. The flinch rate goes well with Arceus's great Speed.

    name: Support
    move 1: Will-O-Wisp
    move 2: Judgment
    move 3: Recover
move 4: Dark Pulse / Ice Beam / Roar
    item: Fist Plate
    nature: Timid
    evs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe

Mention Perish Song somewhere because it beats end game sweepers such as Boosting Tank Kyogre. Reflect should be mentioned because it never misses and supports the entire team from physical attacks.

Fighting Arceus also resists the Rock and Dark types which are common offensive types in Ubers.

Both types aren't that common. Rock is rarely seen outside of Groudon, Terakion, Tyranitar and Garchomp. Darkrai, Tyranitar and Dark Arceus are the only Dark types in Ubers. Tyranitar and Dark Arceus are considered uncommon.

Arceus is also capable of setting up Stealth Rock if the move cannot be fitted onto any other member of the team. However it is not recommended that Fighting Arceus run Stealth Rock as there are other pokemon like Ferrothorn (change it to Groudon or Dialga. Ferrothorn rarely uses Stealth Rock) who can do the job better.

Pokemon like Tyranitar and Scarf Terakion helps keep Ho-oh at bay. Scarf Terakion has the added bonus of outspeeding Ho-oh as well as Shaymin-S and killing them both with a Stone Edge. Terakion cannot switch in blindly however for fear of being burnt by a Sacred Fire.

Mention Giratina and Lugia for handling Ho-Oh. Both can wall Ho-Oh to an extend and kill it with Toxic or phaze it out. Giratina blocks spin and Lugia resists Psystrike for Arceus Fighting.

In the checks and counters section:

Mention Psychic Arceus as a counter to Fighting Arceus. Both can Calm Mind up and Psychic Arceus can easily win with Psyshock.

Kyogre can defeat Fighting Arceus in a Calm Mind war by drowning it with powerful water attacks.

Reshiram can threaten the support set with it's incredible Blue Flare while being immune to Will-O-Wisp and possessing great Special Defense.

Jirachi can survive most attacks, paralyse Arceus with Body Slam or Thunder Wave. Jirachi can then finish Arceus with Zen Headbutt or repeated Iron Heads.

I personally think the CM set is better off with Max Special Attack. Fighting is such a great STAB, and it's a pity to not take advantage of that by being as powerful as possible. With Max SpA, you have about a 1/3 chance to OHKO Extremekiller after SR damage with Judgement. So yeah, long story short, I think 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe with a Modest / Timid nature would be best (I personally prefer Modest, since you'll beat Terakion anyway, while you weren't going to beat Lati@s, ever.

Toxic should recieve a slash on support in my opinion. Since most Steels wouldn't dare to switch into Fighting Arceus and Poisons aren't usually used in Ubers, Toxic will usually always poison something when used. I and others have used this variant of support to great success. This also allows you to completely wall and destroy Giratina-O.

Other than that:

But Fighting Arceus will not be able to move 60% of the time due to the high flinch rate. But if Fighting Arceus is lucky enough not to flinch, an Ice Beam will make Shaymin-S cry. Psychic Arceus is good counter to Fighting Arceus. Both can Calm Mind up but the war will be won by Psychic Arceus who easily takes out Fighting Arceus with a Psystrike. Calm Mind Kyogre can also defeat Fighting Arceus with its powerful Water type attacks. Reshiram can come on a Will-O-Wisp from the support set and 2HKO it with its awesome Blue Flare. Its Base 120 Special Defense helps it take unboosted Special attacks quite well. Jirachi is not OHKO'd by any attack. It can cripple Fighting Arceus with Thunder Wave and then take it out with Zen Headbutt or repeated Iron Heads.</p.

Some things:

1. Pokemon is always capitalized.

2. You need the hyphen between the type and the word type. Such as Water-type, Fighting-type, etc.

3. Be careful about starting a sentence with however. And if you do, you need a comma directly after it because it's technically a prepositional phrase.

4. It's OHKOed, KOed, and OHKOes. No apostrophes.

5. Please pay attention to my comma placements. You definitely need some practice using them, and honestly I would rather you use too many than not enough. (Of course I would love for you to use the correct amount, but w/e.)

6. It's Ho-Oh, not Ho-oh.

7. Just read through the Grammar Standards page in general. Please.

When you've made these changes, and apply them to the rest of your analysis, I'll come back and finish my check.

You're sentence structure and what you're trying to say comes across very well and you're a decent writer. But, having to fix every instance of Pokegrammar is very time-consuming and I'd love to spend another 2 hours on this but I can't at the moment.

However, Ice Beam is generally the better option because of its higher power and better coverage. Maximum investment in HP along with Recover is used to make Arceus as bulky as possible. It also helps Arceus bag more Calm Mind boosts.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Ho-Oh can counter Fighting Arceus very well. Armed with a titanic base 154 Special Defense and base 106 HP, it is resistant to Judgment and laughs at Ice Beam. Ho-Oh is also one the few Uber Pokemon having access to a STAB Flying-type move: Brave Bird. A Brave Bird from Ho-Oh can OHKO Fighting Arceus, provided Ho-Oh is equipped with a Life Orb. However, Ho-Oh pays dearly for its Typing typing and loses 50% of its health every time it switches in, if Stealth Rocks are is on the field. Shaymin-S is another one of the few Pokemon used in Ubers which that has access to a Flying-type STAB move. It outspeeds Arceus and Air Slash will 2HKO Fighting Arceus if it has been unable to get any Calm Minds. Due to Air Slash's high flinch rate, (comma) which is further enhanced by Serene Grace, it means many a time Arceus most times Arceus will not be able to make a move. Nevertheless, an Ice Beam from Arceus will make Shaymin cry. Even so, Shaymin-S has to be wary of Ice Beam. A Psystrike from Offensive offensive Mewtwo will always OHKO Fighting Arceus. Powerful Scarfers like Terrakion or Kyogre make good partners to Fighting Arceus. Terrakion can easily check Ho-Oh and Shaymin-S with its STAB Stone Edge. However, Shaymin-S is rather annoying to deal with due to its Seed Flare and chance to flinch with Air Slash. Because of this, Lugia can also act as a good partner to Fighting Arceus with thanks to its immense bulk, access to Reflect, and Pressure to PP stall Ho-Oh. It can also Whirlwind away any Substitutes set up by Shaymin-S and can even check it with Ice Beam.

Pokemon like Forretress, Deoxys-S, and Ferrothorn can all set up entry hazards reliably and are good partners to Fighting Arceus. Stealth Rock is especially helpful for Fighting Arceus as it strips Ho-Oh of 50% of its health every time it switches in.Ho-Oh otherwise counters Fighting Arceus quite well. Entry hazard support also allow Arceus to net quite a few important KO's.

Fighting Arceus boasts resistances to some common Attacking attacking types in Ubers, (comma) namely Rock, Bug, and Dark. This makes Fighting Arceus an excellent check to Pokemon like Tyranitar, Scarf Terakion, and Rock Arceus. Additionally Fighting Arceus is resistant to Stealth Rock. This allows him it to switch in and out of battle quite often.

[SET COMMENTS]

Fighting Arceus may be an excellent Calm Mind sweeper, (comma) but it is equally adept at taking on a more supportive role. Arceus has a great support movepool, (comma) boasting access to moves like Recover, Will-O-Wisp, and Stealth Rock. Fighting Arceus's great bulk, excellent 120/120/120 defenses, (comma) and lack of common weaknesses all help it in its role.

Will-O-Wisp can cripple any Physical physical attacker and helps Fighting Arceus take physical hits better. Toxic can be used over Will-O-Wisp and really hampers hinders the ability of Walls walls to sponge hits. Toxic can also be used to bring down extreme bulky Pokemon like Groudon and Giratina-O who lack reliable recovery. Since Poison-types are rare in Ubers and Steel-Typestypes will never switch in, Toxic will almost always cripple something when used.

Arceus is also capable of setting up Stealth Rock if the move cannot be fitted onto any other another member of the team. However, it is not recommended that Fighting Arceus run Stealth Rock, (comma) as there are other Pokemon like Groudon or Forretress who that can do the job better. Substitute can be run, (comma) and it helps Arceus protect itself from debilitating status. It ; it also helps Fighting Arceus scout for possible counters. Stealth Rock also helps Fighting Arceus deal with Ho-Oh. Arceus can use Perish Song to beat end-game (add hyphen) sweepers like Boosting Tank Calm Mind Kyogre. It can also set up Reflect to support the team if needed.

This set has massive issues with Ho-Oh and Mewtwo, (comma) even more so than the Calm Mind set. Ho-Oh laughs at all of Fighting Arceus's attacks and OHKOes with a Brave Bird. A Psystrike from Mewtwo will down Fighting Arceus as well. Mewtwo is additionally resistant to Fighting Arceus's Judgment. Shaymin-S can also 2HKO Arceus with a an Air Slash. (remove period) while Fighting Arceus on the other hand cannot OHKO back without Ice Beam. Pokemon like Tyranitar and Scarf Terrakion helps keep Ho-Oh at bay. Scarf Terrakion has the added bonus of outspeeding Ho-Oh as well as Shaymin-S and killing them both with a Stone Edge. Inspite of this, (comma) Terrakion cannot switch in blindly for fear of being burnt by a Sacred Fire. Lugia and Giratina can wall Ho-Oh quite well and can kill KO it with Toxic or phaze it out. Lugia is also resistant to Psychic attacks while Giratina is a terrific spin(backspace)blocker.

[Other Options]

A Sword Dance set can be used with Brick Break and Shadow Force along with Recover. Earthquake can also be run for its great neutral coverage. However, it must be noted that in this aspect this kind of Fighting Arceus is outclassed by Extremekiller Arceus or Ghost Arceus with Swords Dance. Arceus has a huge support movepool and has no dearth of options. It can set up Screens dual screens, but Lugia does this job better. Fighting Arceus can also use Cosmic Power to boost its defenses. It can also run Perish Song to force lot of switches or simply use Roar to phaze

[Checks and Counters]

Ho-Oh is a great counter to Fighting Arceus with it thanks to its huge Special Defense and HP(backspace). It resists Judgment and barely takes any damage from Ice Beam or Dark Pulse. It gets Brave Bird to OHKO Fighting Arceus and even gets has access to Recover or Roost to heal off any recoil damage taken. Ho-Oh's legendary companion Lugia walls Arceus quite nicely. It barely takes any damage from any of Fighting Arceus's attacks. It can set up Light Screen to further reduce the damage taken; Toxic ensures Arceus will die soon. and proceed to just outstall Arceus with a combination of Toxic and Roost. Lugia also gets Roost to heal up any damage. If Arceus tries to set up, Lugia can just blow Arceus away with a Whirlwind.

Mewtwo can outspeed Fighting Arceus, (comma) and offensive variants of Mewtwo can OHKO with Psystrike. Mewtwo is resistant to Judgment, (comma) and Dark Pulse will only 2HKO if coming it's unboosted. Stalltwo Defensive Mewtwo can also use Taunt to prevent Arceus from using Recover or setting up. Shaymin-S is resistant to Judgment and can 2HKO with Fighting Arceus with a speedy Air Slash. But Fighting Arceus will not be able to move 60% of the time due to the high flinch rate. But if Be warned though, if Fighting Arceus is lucky enough not to flinch, an Ice Beam will make Shaymin-S cry. Psychic Arceus is a good counter to Fighting Arceus. Both can Calm Mind up, (comma) but the war will be won by Psychic Arceus who which easily takes out Fighting Arceus with a Psystrike super effective Judgement. Calm Mind Kyogre can also defeat Fighting Arceus with its powerful Water-type attacks. Reshiram can come in on a Will-O-Wisp from the support set and 2HKO it Arceus with its awesome Blue Flare. Its base 120 Special Defense helps it take unboosted Special attacks quite well. Jirachi is not OHKOed by any attack. It and can cripple Fighting Arceus with Thunder Wave and then take it out with Zen Headbutt or repeated Iron Heads.</p.> (replace period)

Some more things:

1. You capitalized some odd words. Be sure to pay attention to the ones I uncapitalized.

2. Pay really close attention to my comma placements. They usually occur in natural sentence breaks where in speech you would take a breath.

3. It's KOs. No apostrophe.

4. It's never ever ever Stealth Rocks. Only ever Stealth Rock.

5. Terrakion has two r's.

6. Dual screens is never capitalized unless signifying the name of a set.

[OVERVIEW]

Great offensive stats, overall defenses that are better than most dedicated walls, and a wide movepool all make Arceus a top-notch threat in Ubers. Furthermore, Fighting Arceus has several advantges over the other formes of Arceus.

[SET COMMENTS]

Like every other forme of Arceus, Fighting Arceus is a chip off the old block (that doesn't make sense..). Arceus possesses those awesome base 120 stats across the board, and is blessed with a wide special movepool, (comma) with access to coveted moves like Calm Mind and Recover.

Volcarona and Chandelure are the only Pokemon that resist this combination of Fighting and Ice, and fortunately, (comma) neither are seen much in Ubers due to their own disabilities.

Ok this is done.

EDIT: I made 2 small changes with the proofreads.

I know it shouldnt be psystrike, but it should be psyshock and NOT Judgment.

It should be Sacred Fire. I got confused between Lugia and Fighting Arceus and told him Ho-Oh uses BB against Lugia( I thought he was talking about Arceus -_-) but actually Ho-Oh always goes for Sacred Fire because of BB recoil and the chance of a burn from Sacred Fire. So that needs an edited.

I know this has been marked as "Done" already, but I noticed a spelling error in the second sentence.

Furthermore, Fighting Arceus has several advantges over the other formes of Arceus.

You're missing a letter in "advantages".

Also, "the other Arceus formes" might sound better than "the other formes of Arceus", but that's really up to your discretion.

in the Calm Mind set, don't you think that Shadow Ball is the best option along side of Judgment because it has perfect coverage?

in the Calm Mind set, don't you think that Shadow Ball is the best option along side of Judgment because it has perfect coverage?

I agree, it complements Ghost Arceus' movepool well; it should at least be given a slash. Unlike Ghost Arceus, it doesn't have to rely on a highly inaccurate move to complete the coverage.

Shadow Ball is actually rather weak since a neutral Judgment is still stronger than a super-effective Shadow Ball. The SpD drop rate is pretty situational anyway.

Dark Pulse on the other hand, can flinch the opponent 20% of the time. The only thing Shadow Ball hits neutrally but Dark Pulse can't is against Heracross. Judgment hits Heracross harder for your info and Dark Pulse has nothing immune to it. Ice Beam is pretty useful for taking down Dragons such as Rayquaza and Garchomp.

Dark / Ice + Fighting still gives pretty good coverage.

A few small things to mention:

Psychic Arceus is a good counter to Fighting Arceus; both can Calm Mind up, but the war will be won by Psychic Arceus thanks to its type advantage.

- Also because Psychic Arceus doesn't even care how many CMs Fighting Arceus has since Psyshock lols at it.

- Mention that should Fighting Arceus use Ice Beam as its coverage move, Wobbuffet is another really huge pain in Arceus' side. +1 or +2 Ice Beam doesn't do shit to it while it can just Encore you into Calm Mind or Recover.

- Latias counters Fighting Arceus quite beautifully with Calm Mind and Psyshock.

On another note, I really think the Calm Mind set should at the very least mention an offensive spread (4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Modest / Timid). Fighting is an excellent STAB, and it's great to take advantage of that. Here are just a few damage calcs to show the difference of the two spreads:

+1 4 SpA Judgement vs Blissey: 40.80% - 48.16%
+1 Modest 252 SpA Judgement vs Blissey: 54.60% - 64.42% (Clean 2HKO, most it can do is Toxic you and then die)
+1 4 SpA Judgement vs Chansey: 32.52% - 38.65% (This is piss)
+1 Modest 252 SpA Judgement vs Chansey: 43.56% - 51.53% (2HKO after SR like 99% of the time, and all it can do is spam Softboiled)
+1 4 SpA Judgement vs Dark Pulse: 38.26% - 45.08% (You HAVE to flinch to get anywhere near killing it)
+1 Modest 252 SpA Dark Pulse vs Wobbuffet: 51.52% - 60.61% (Clean 2HKO after Rocks, meaning you easily win with a flinch, and they have to mindgame with you instead of just Encoring you for free)
+0 4 SpA Judgement vs ExtremeKiller: 64.02% - 75.93%
+0 Modest 252 SpA Judgement vs ExtremeKiller: 86.35% - 101.74% (87% to OHKO after SR)

Something for QC to talk about, I guess, but I hope the advantages of running max SpA are clear.

AF APPROVED 1/3

AC mention is probably enough for offensive Fighting Arceus. Fighting Arceus actually has only a few uncommon weaknesses so a defensive CM set will be the best. Offensive CM makes Arceus hardly to switch in on Dialga and Darkrai though which is bad.
