Brandon stood inside the great cavern that housed the Rock Column, watching as Maxim and Elevator Music prepared for a battle. Beside him was his Carracosta, Shellstrike, seemingly right at home in the cavern and Sandstorm. Brandon, however, wasn't enjoying it quite so much. "Hopefully we get this over with quickly so I can get out of here!"

Description: Deep within the confines of Mount Coronet, there lies a place unlike any other. This circular area is a flat cavebed that is 100 meters in diameter. In the center lies a huge column of rock 20 meters in diameter extending from the floor to the ceiling about 60 meters up (basically, the place is huge). Running up the column is a ledge about 5 meters thick that curls around it (Sort of like the thread in a screw). Seismic disturbances constantly coat the area in a thick sandstorm that can't be canceled due to the ceiling. Sadly, there's no water source for moves like Surf and weather moves cannot be used but everything else goes.

Recently, Maxim modified the arena for his gym arena. The included effects include a Sturdy trait for all Rock types due to the sandstorm. Also, an aquifer was discovered under the rock that allows for Surf and similar moves, but no diving.

Summary: Eternal Sandstorm, Indoor Arena, No External Water Source (Surf allowed), Sturdy trait given to rock types.

Brandon watched, still trying to protect himself from the raging sandstorm, as Maxim sent out his Omastar, Spiral Knight. Elevator Music responded with his Revenankh, and his Air Lock instantly took effect, suppressing the Sandstorm, much to Brandon's delight and Shellstrike's dismay. Ready to battle, Revenankh spewed a Toxic attack at Spiral Knight, badly poisoning him! Spiral Knight was more worried about his own preparations, using Shell Smash! The attack shattered his shell, greatly raising his Attack, Special Attack, and Speed, but also lowering his Defense and Special Defense! However, a quick munch on the White Herb he was holding, and the lowered stats were restored! Rather than pushing his advantage, however, Spiral Knight decided to confuse his opponent with a Supersonic! The ploy worked, as Revenankh was slightly confused and ended up hitting himself in confusion! Seeing his chance, Spiral Knight struck, nailing Revenankh hard with a Surf! The blow caught the still-dizzy Revenankh off-guard, scoring a critical hit! Revenankh snapped out of confusion though, and evened the score, striking hard with a Drain Punch that also recovered some its own health back! "Rev's doing OK so far," Brandon mused, "but Spiral Knight will be hitting really hard. I wonder if Rev can keep up?"

I hope I interpreted Maxim's sub correctly. Anyway, Iwark released his Bide for a whopping 0 damage, then Protea missed yet another Toxic (sorry!). Iwark then annihilated all the Double Team clones with an Earthquake while Protea, sensing trouble, nailed Iwark with a Confuse Ray, leaving Iwark intensely confused. Iwark then hit himself in confusion, though he wasn't able to even scratch his own rock-hard exterior, and then Protea fired off an Energy Ball for some decent damage.
