Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
"It appears that we have reached a crossroad. We should thoroughly consider our options to choose the optimal path. It's a difficult decision that must be made with utmost care."
"The rocky path looks hard. We're following the river. If those losers disagree, then sucks to be them. " *takes the path beside the river exiting the cavern*
"I suppose that simplifies things a bit."
Emma: Follows Raziel down the northwest path Raziel: Takes the northwest path, ignoring Jay and The Artist's comments, holding Tail Glow
"I for one am beginning to become irritated with this attitude, but nonetheless that door looks impossible to get around, so we'll just follow Emma and Raziel. Sound good?"
"Meh, I'm not too pleased about having to follow others, but we can just trust that they won't mislead us."
Jay: Follows Emma, Raziel, and The Artist, as in watching the rear The Artist: Follows Emma and Raziel, but ahead of Jay
Your Party is curious as to what is beyond the heavily embellished door... but with no way just yet to open it, your actions dictate that you take one of the available paths. Raziel, not interested in being a team players, gave a thick grumble as she glided towards the Northwestern Waterfall and the Left path. The Party, not wanting to be left in the dark and mist, joined the Aurumoth with haste down the River tunnel.
As you descend deeper, a chill hits all of your party, the cold underground river pulling the cool temperatures down along with it as it winds into Mt. Coronet. Raziel leads for another 10 minutes or so until you make it to a chamber nearly as large as the one you just left.
The whole cavern (which is a little less than a quarter mile long, and only 100 feet wide) is quite rectangular in shape, and 95% of the cavern is one giant lake. The small stretch of land you four stand on is perhaps 40 feet long and wide, a petite peninsula in this underground ocean. To your left the water flows from the grand cavern into this lake, still as crystal clear as it was before. This cavern's ceiling, though, is much lower, being a consistent 30 feet above the water's surface; the ceiling is riddled with hundreds of tiny stalactites, only inches or so in thickness and some getting as long as 4 feet. They remind you of tiny little fingers, which sends a shiver down your spine. They also seem quite delicate, as if the littlest tremor in the earth could send all of them cascading down at once. The cavern walls seem to be sheer and slick. The ground you are standing on is also a tad slick, from the river splashing over fervently.
The rectangular lake itself gives off a brilliant yellow/green glow, and you could probably get away with not having a light source here. In the lake, you can see the lake's bottom dip down further and further as the cavern extends... It's perhaps two feet deep right on the edge of your little platform, but within 50 feet it becomes 30 feet deep. Seems to stay that deep for most of the lake, but it very well might get deeper the farther you go out into the lake.
While musing to yourself, you start to hear some splashes. You look up find about 8 to 10 magikarp flopping and flitting about in the lake, minding their own business (though some seem to be flopping aggressively at each other). You decide to track on of the fishies with your eyes, just curious to see its pattern. It swims with some weird form of grace only a magikarp could achieve, dipping up and down in the lake. It skitters across one of the deeper parts of the lake bottom, quickly passing by pretty cave rocks and budding stalagmites and- what? what was that? You eyes quickly turn back a few feet and stop following the karp.
You've spied a worn out blade, a sword's blade. Minus the Hilt.
You suddenly make the connection. The indentations.
Now, all that's left is to get the thing. By your calculations, the Blade is about 68 feet out into the lake, near center of the thing. Its most likely 30 feet deep where the blade rests, give or take a foot. The center of the lake is where a good 5 or 6 of the magikarp are keeping, however. While you know magikarp arent the best of battlers, your pokemon should be able to communicate with them quite easily, if need be.

"It appears that we need to retrieve the sword. I do not mean to brag, but our Psychic abilities are quite useful in such situations. Razzie, if you please?"
"On it. Cover me, dweebs."
Emma: Beams with pride. Raziel: Floats out over the water, then uses Psychic to lift the blade out of the water, bringing it back with her to the shore.
"Wow, these two are pretty good. And then there's me, still waiting to actually do something useful." "Eh, don't worry too much about that yet. Your time will come. Meanwhile, I'm going to help Raziel out with this one, then we'll be all good here."
Jay: Watches as he does practically nothing for the team The Artist: Waits for Razzie to get the sword, then drops a Smokescreen for the team to escape using
Your Party all agree with one another; you need to grab the sword blade, and without much trouble. After a touch of discussion with several intriguing ideas, Raziel finally loses her patience.
<<SIGH. I can float dorks, remember?>>
With a huff and a couple of exasperated looks in her direction, the Aurumoth effortlessly glides across the crystal clear water out towards where the blade lies. As Raziel crosses the lake, the Magikarp don't seem to pay close attention... for the most part.
"...SKY SHADOW." "...SKY SHADOW."
Two of the Magikarp, the pair swimming farther away from the inner circle, immediately notice Aurumoth and decide to flee, making great haste to swim back into the far depths of the underground lake. Raziel shrugs and continues on, reaching the lake center.
"I SPLASH HIGHER KARP KARP" "KARP KARP I SPLASH STRONGER"
...Those two are paying absolutely no attention to anything but their dispute.
"SKY SHADOW KARP KARP WE'RE DOOMED KARP" "KARP KARP SKY SHADOW WILL KILL ALL KARP" "...Derp? Derp."
The other four Magikarp in the center began to splash around frantically, throwing themselves into a imbecilic tizzy. Three of the four are hollering nonsense and causing a ruckus, while the last one...
"KARP KARP CALM DOWN DUMMIES KARP KARP I AM KARP KING"
Aha. So there seems to be at least some form of intelligence out in the lake (by magikarp standars).
Raziel doesn't bother with the magikarp however, as she has her task in mind and ready to go. Her eyes began to glow a bright pink, as aura of a similar color glows from the tips of her six wings and thorax. It takes a second longer for the Insect to coat the Blade below with her psychic energy, due to the magikarp, but Raziel snatches it up with ease... but not without the "King Karp" noticing.
"KARP KARP SKY SHADOW STOLE THE TREASURE KARP KARP." "KARP GET IT BACK KING KARP SAYS GET IT BACK KARP KARP"
To King Karp's dismay, his minions are still too upset to do much usefulness. Taking matters into his own fins, the slightly bigger Magikarp charges through the surface to tackle Raziel... but not before Greninja spits out a thick, permeating haze of smokescreen. You hear the cries of a failed attack from the King Karp as the Glowing shape of Aurumoth reaches the rest of your party. You've got it! Raziel gently places the blade down on the wet cavern floor near the feet of the two trainers.

"Sure, I'll handle lighting again." "Alright since that is all settled, let's press on!"
Jay: Charges up a Flash Cannon, but leaves it in orb carry to provide a source of light, then returns to the previous room The Artist: Returns to the previous room
Oh hi. Yeah, the other girl (or was it a guy?) "disappeared". Carry on, friends.
__________________________________________________________ Cave Area 4: North West Lake Cavern The group ventures back into the previous room, with the blade clanking in Emma's backpack. On the way, Jay uses Flash Cannon and channels the silvery light in his palm, shaping it into an orb to light the way.
Cave Area 2: Main Chambers The Party feels a familiar dampness in the air, arriving back in the cavern they came from. With Jay's Flash Cannon orb lighting up the room, the Party thinks of what to do next.
