    HP: 114
    Atk: 85
    Def: 70
    SpA: 85
    SpD: 80
    Spe: 30

    Doubles/Triples Sets
Amoonguss @ Occa Berry / Mental Herb / Coba Berry
    252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
    ivs: 0 Spe
    nature: Sassy
    ability: Effect Spore
    - Spore
    - Rage Powder
    - Giga Drain
    - Protect / Hidden Power Ice
    • You can't OHKO this set except with very powerful super effective attacks, and Rage Powder helps to capitalize on that, allowing Amoonguss's partner to set up Trick Room easily.
    • Spore incapacitates an opponent, and in conjunction with Giga Drain, Amoonguss provides an easy stop to most Water-types and Rain teams.
    • Hidden Power Ice allows Amoonguss to break genie Substitutes and hit Dragon-types that resist Giga Drain for super effective damage.
    • An Occa Berry allows Amoonguss to take any Fire-type attack, but Mental Herb allows it to take a Taunt, while Coba Berry lets it survive an Acrobatics or Brave Bird.
    • An alternate spread of 252 HP / 180 Def / 76 SpD with a Sassy nature allows Amoonguss to take Abomasnow's Blizzard, but also gives it a lot more physical bulk, only being 4HKOed by Terrakion's Rock Slide.
    • Amoonguss provides an excellent partner to Trick Room teams with Rage Powder and Spore, but can work well even outside of Trick Room thanks to its huge natural bulk and access to Spore.
    • Good partners for Amoonguss are powerful Trick Room attackers, since it's unable to do much damage itself. Since Amoonguss struggles against Steel-types, a Ground- or Fighting-type partner such as Hariyama or Rhyperior can be an effective partner. Amoonguss's ability to stop most Fighting-types such as Hitmontop in their tracks with Spore allows it to help Pokemon such as Tyranitar that are weak to Mach Punch.
    • Amoonguss can opt to run more Speed to screw over slower Amoonguss and the majority of Trick Room teams, but it does detract from Amoonguss's bulk.

I'd mention running speedy Amoonguss is bad, as Togekiss outclasses it when it comes to that.

Speedy Togekiss doesn't have (somewhat) speedy Spore.

Speedy Amoonguss? Isn't that an oxymoron? If you want a relatively fast Spore, use Breloom.

The point is that Amoonguss can have both Rage Powder and a Sleep inducing move. Togekiss and Breloom can only do one or the other.

Speedy Amoonguss allows it to outspeed other slower Amoonguss's and to catch those expecting it to be slow off guard.

Recommend Occa Berry as that is the main thing that KOs it now. That should be the first item slot then followed by Mental Herb and finally Coba Berry. I have an EV spread meant to survive Abomasnow's Blizzard while the rest goes into defense because physical attacks are still used and it is never good to be 3HKOd by Terrakion's Rock Slide.

Amoonguss with the given spread doesn't die to any special Fire attack, even in sun, but Occa's certainly an option. Since Amoonguss eats Terrakion alive anyway, that spread isn't mandatory, but it's certainly useful, and it's been added.
