Birkal sends out his Crayons the Kecleon! Carrying his favorite Everstone that has his little drawings on it.

Zoan uses the move he mimic'd from Curie and causes the Kecleon to flinch! The Charizard then summons a damaging dummy substitute to absorb some hits for him as he focuses on charging his fist. Crayons throws rocks and more rocks until the Substitute finally breaks. but it was a bit too late, and was greeted by a terrifying steaming punching straight to the face! Ouch that has got to hurt >.<

This round did not go WELL for the Fighting Gym Leader. Will he be able to claw his way back in the lead while ordering second against a cooling down Charizard? Stay tuned!

Crayons tries to keep its head clear and twisted the arena into a dimension where everything that is slow is fast and vice versa. Crayons is able to keep its mind clean in this new atmosphere and digs underground. Zoan finally recovers from its combo and Dragon Rush at a rock thinking it was the Kecleon. Crayons popped out of the ground like a weasel and punched the Charizard under his jaw! The Kecleon then goes back under ground waiting for another time to strike. Charizard looks around and then starts to Dragon Rush around the arena, hoping to hit the Kecleon randomly. The moment Zoan stops, Crayons shows up and strikes the Charizard once again.

Zoan looks a exhausted but his opponent seems to be barely standing as well, what will trainer Birkal do ordering first?

Fake Out (Normal) | Ancient Power (Rock) | Fake Out (Normal)

If non-consecutive protective / evasive move when you would use Fake Out, use Feint (Normal) that action.
If Chill on A1 and Endure on A2, and Charizard did not flinch on A1, use Ancient Power (Rock) on A2, and Fake Out (Normal) on A3.
If you hurt yourself in confusion on A1, use Fake Out (Normal) on A2 and Ancient Power (Rock) on A3.

Nah. Making LoAs that exclude particular matches is crap. Mitigating that by promising to order on Tuesday (and then proceeding to order in plenty of other matches), and then not doing that is also crap. You were active on Discord. You have been ordering. This match should have been your top priority.

Final DQ. Although I do believe you get an extra hour after this post to order. Please do so.

WINNERS FINALS: Five Warnings per player. No time limit. Same rules otherwise.

I count only 2 unfortunately (the one above and one on the previous page). And I say unfortunately because I want this to move along faster than it is.

Toon please tag after 3 days, not after a week. I will join the tagging here too I guess. JJayyFeather should also. LoA or no LoA the tagging is required, as a reminder or as a DQ warning, whatever you prefer to call it.

and as far as LoA goes:

1) If your LoA makes you unable to post we will wait up to 4 days. The longer the wait the smaller my patience if you keep pulling that card, so I reserve the right of rescinding it. LoAs without a defined ETA will be read as 3 days. that is per instance. You can't pull it in a row without first dealing with your current orders.
2) If your LoA is of the "will be busier" type, you will get +24h extension until it is over. Maximum time for its duration is 15 days (so during those 15 days you get 24h extra time on your posts). The longer the wait the smaller my patience if you keep pulling that card, so I reserve the right of rescinding it. You can't pull it in a row without first dealing with your current orders.

It is on the OP of this round. No exceptions will be given.

Circumstances changed mate. I didn't have the time I expected on Tuesday. You can be as self-righteous as you want, my life takes priority and the LOA rules of the match allow for that. I have no problem with DQ tags as per the rules laid out.

The fact of the matter is that this and the previous round are the most critical ones and under no circumstances will I sacrifice order quality for timeliness where the two are mutually exclusive, as they were.

In any case I came up with main orders earlier today so just need to carve some time to run sub orders.

changed my mind I don't actually need the extra time

Dragon Claw ~ flinch ~ Brick Break

If Kecleon acts successfully a1, ragequit and initiate orders Dragon Rush ~ Brick Break

To sum up these orders in perfect exactness:

"Whoooaaaaaaaa we're half way theeerree; whooooaaaaaaaa we're livin' on a prayer!"

Texas Cloverleaf replaces Charizard and Order
Birkal Orders

See this is why I take the extra time when I need it

(insert gif of Texas being salty for the next three years over not getting confusion self-hits when he needs it)

May as well make my speech now.

"First off, congratulations to Birkal, he's obvious a deserving winner and an arguable top 3 ASBer of all time (though fourth in my rankings). His play is well deserving of being crowned the winner of the third ASB Official Tournament."

"That said, this is naturally a huge disappointment for me. Over the course of this tournament I pushed my game to the highest level it's seen, the highest it's ever likely to get. After the loss to Birkal in the opening match so long ago I recommitted myself to getting better and to finding a way to kill a fucking Kecleon. The battle against Frosty in the semifinals was probably the best game I've ever played, against one of the best players to ever play. And all that to come up short in the finals. What cuts the most is that I didn't come up short. I played well enough to win this damn tournament. I took my lessons from my first match against Birkal and found a Pokemon capable of beating Kecleon, found a Pokemon that could 1v1 a Kangaskhan, came out with a lineup that was able to beat the best he had. I put myself in a position to have the advantage going into the final matchup. Sadly for me, the RNG let me down and the 1/8 chance was fulfilled."

"But that's Pokemon. As frustrating and disappointing as this is, and as much as I dearly would have loved to take home a Kyogre, sometimes the dice don't roll in your favour. I played the best I could (at least until the most recent round) and it was good enough to do it and even though the result isn't one I wanted, that's something I can take comfort in."

"Something I wanted to prove to myself at the start of this tournament was that I wasn't just a veteran who was good at this game but that I was a veteran able to hang with the best. At that, at least, I think I succeeded."

Its_A_Random I really don't want to play again can we just call the standings

texas I would love to just give you prizes for this match, but this was a council vote. I can't do a thing about it.

Sure, if you forfeit, the only thing you lose is the MC/KOC for the pokemon here. You still get the tourney prizes just fine.

Should we just process the Forfeit and be done with it?

Yeah, this match was always going to be determined by who could get the second kill first.

IAR and birkal assented to calling the standings if you're cool with it

I see no problem with that arrangement. Always thought the match after the final match was anti-climatic as fuck.

Just lemme know if you or IAR will get second place.

In fact...

Birkal
Texas Cloverleaf
Its_A_Random

please pick your prizes and lemme know so I can make the announcement and finish this.

On the meantime

Toon please wrap this battle up.

Birkal 2CC
Kecleon 7CC/1KOC
Kangaskhan 4MC/1KOC
