GP Approvals: Calm Pokemaster/???
Status: Grammar Prose Checking

Stats: 120 HP / 120 Atk / 120 Def / 120 SAtk / 120 SDef / 120 Spd
Abilities: Multitype (Changes the Pokémon's type to match the plate it holds)

Overview
########
When equipped with an Iron Plate, Arceus takes on a more rigid incarnation, sporting resistances to eleven of the eighteen types. This, combined with his base 120 / 120 / 120 defenses, makes him the most defensive of not only all of the Arceus formes, but also of the majority of all Pokemon. This is very helpful in a metagame infested with Dragon-types; their most powerful unboosted STAB moves don't come even close to a 3HKO, let alone a 2HKO. He also has an immunity to Poison, and by extension Toxic, meaning that his sweeping sets are less restricted than most other sweepers. Additionally, his STAB moves are now more potent than before, as they hit Fairy-types super effectively.

While all of this very beneficial to a Pokemon that likes to go offensive, there are a few things that hold Steel Arceus back from being unstoppable. The rise in usage of Blaziken and Ho-Oh means he can't easily establish an offensive presence. Furthermore, checking Xerneas is somewhat troublesome, as it often runs Focus Blast as a coverage move. Nevertheless, Steel Arceus is a force to be reckoned with, and he must be prepared for if you don't want to be annihilated.

Calm Mind
########
name: Calm Mind
move 1: Calm Mind
move 2: Judgment
move 3: Will-O-Wisp / Thunder
move 4: Recover
ability: Multitype
item: Iron Plate
evs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
nature: Timid

Moves
========
Calm Mind Steel Arceus is unique from other offensive Arceus formes in that he is immune to Toxic, meaning his sweep can't be cut short by bad poison. Judgment is his strongest special STAB move, and after a Calm Mind boost, it does considerable damage to Xerneas, even after a Geomancy. Will-O-Wisp is useful for inflicting residual damage on opponents that don't mind taking a Judgment, and it is notable for countering Mega Kangaskhan. Alternatively, if Ho-Oh is a major concern for you, Thunder can be used, and it offers a respectable damage output after a boost. For the last move, Recover is preferred, as it gives Steel Arceus more longevity and time to set up. Roar is another option that can help win wars with opposing Calm Mind Arceus.

Set Details
========
Calm Mind Steel Arceus should run maximum investment in HP and Speed if he runs Roar in order to survive a hit and successfully phaze out the opponent. If not running Roar, then it is best to have at least 176 EVs in Speed to outspeed Mega Gengar, leaving 80 EVs free. Alternatively, if Mega Gengar is not your top priority, consider 112 EVs in Speed to outspeed Pokemon with base 100 Speed and Garchomp. By doing that, 144 EVs will be left over to put into other stats.

Usage Tips
========
Calm Mind Arceus Steel is not meant to sweep as much as he is meant to tank hits while taking out foes. In fact, he functions almost like a support Arceus, because he has access to a great defensive typing that provides a Poison immunity, doesn't mind burn's Attack drop, and can cripple physical attackers Will-O-Wisp. Therefore, when sending out Steel Arceus, it is initially best to treat him as a support Arceus, and only afterward, when his checks and counters have been eliminated, should he start boosting for a clean finish. Setting up prematurely is not preferred, as it will most likely attract phazers who will render his boosts useless. However, boosting too late in the game can also have negative consequences, like being setup bait for opposing sweepers. For this reason, if Steel Arceus can take out an opponent, it's best that he does so. Finally, he should not begin to set up until Ho-Oh is gone unless he runs Thunder, which will easily KO at +1 after Ho-Oh has taken Stealth Rock damage.

Team Options
========
With the prominence of Fire-types this generation, having a Pokemon like Kyogre who can easily remove that weakness is strongly encouraged. Steel Arceus can also handle the Grass-types that are problematic for Kyogre, making them a great pair. Specifically, physically defensive Kyogre works well at taking a hit from Ho-Oh that like to spam Sacred Fire and retaliating with Scald. Landorus-T is also a good teammate, as it handles Ho-Oh and Blaziken with Stone Edge and Earthquake, respectively, while being immune to the Ground-type moves that Steel Arceus despises. If not running either, then at least running a check to Ho-Oh is mandatory, as well as a Stealth Rock user.

For other troublesome Pokemon, Palkia is a useful teammate especially if checking Kyogre is a priority, and all of Palkia's weaknesses are resisted by Steel Arceus. Giratina-O is also useful for providing type synergy. Giratina-O is immune to Ground- and Fighting-type moves and resists Fire-type attacks, while Steel Arceus can take on Ice-, Dragon-, and Fairy-types. Steel Arceus does not particularly enjoy facing a Palkia with Thunder Wave, so having a Fairy-type partner for healing and tanking Fighting-type moves, like Xerneas, is encouraged; Xerneas can also dispose of Mega Mewtwo X and Blaziken quite nicely.

Swords Dance
########
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Iron Head
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Stone Edge / Recover
ability: Multitype
item: Iron Plate
evs: 252 Atk / 4 HP / 252 Spd
nature: Jolly

Moves
========
If a physical set is required, Steel Arceus is no slouch with his Swords Dance. Iron Head is his most reliable Steel-type STAB move, having a respectable 80 Base Power and a handy 30% flinch chance. Earthquake provides good coverage and is useful for hitting things that resist Iron Head, such as Heatran and Aegislash. For the last moveslot, Stone Edge rounds out the coverage, hitting everything that resists Earthquake and Iron Head and providing a solid answer to Ho-Oh. On the other hand, if coverage is not needed, Recover is once again an option to help prolong Steel Arceus's lifespan.

There are a couple more options that can benefit Steel Arceus but are difficult to include in his moveset. Overheat can be useful for heavily damaging Scizor and Skarmory, but it doesn't have much use outside of that. Extreme Speed can surprise Deoxys-A, but it doesn't provide good coverage for a Pokemon that is already struggling to fit it in.

Set Details
========
This set is purely for offense, and Steel Arceus's numerous resistances provide him with enough defense as is; as such, Attack and Speed should be maximized. Investing in HP can be worthwhile, but it is imperative that Steel Arceus runs at least 112 Speed EVs to outspeed all Garchomp that don't run Choice Scarf.

Usage Tips
========
Though Ground Arceus has a greater offensive presence, what sets Steel Arceus apart is his typing and the eleven resistances that come with it. Therefore, this set is best used as a late-game cleaner because he is likely to survive long enough to get to a point where attaining Swords Dance boosts is easily accomplished. This set functions similarly to the Calm Mind set in that knowing when to boost is as important as knowing when to attack and/or regain HP. Something to note, however, is that this set is not meant to check Xerneas; rather, it's purely for late-game cleaning.

Team Options
========
As always, Kyogre is very good at mitigating Steel Arceus's Fire-type weakness, and it still gets first mention. Additionally, a check to Ho-Oh, like physically defensive Kyogre or Landorus-T, is still needed. Since he is now physically offensive, having a Pokemon that can absorb burns, like Gliscor or Heatran, is necessary to give Steel Arceus an easier time switching in and setting up. Giratina-O provides good type synergy with Steel Arceus. Other Pokemon to consider for teammates include Yveltal, who can switch into Ghost- and Ground-types, and mixed Rayquaza, who can take out bulky Ground-types. Both of these Pokemon appreciate Steel Arceus's resistance to Fairy.

Other Options
########
Steel Arceus's numerous resistances allow him to run a number of other options in his movesets. A support set consisting of Judgment, Will-O-Wisp, Roar / Defog, and Recover could work, but it is too similar to the Calm Mind set, and other Arceus types, like Grass, Fairy, and Water, are better suited for this role. Thunder Wave and Toxic can be used to spread status, but they leave Steel Arceus walled by Ground- and Electric-types for the former and Steel- and Poison-types for the latter. Roar can be used to force out unwanted foes, but Steel Arceus is not very effective when it comes to keeping them out. Fire Blast can nab Scizor and Skarmory, but shaky accuracy and lower Base Power than Overheat leave something to be desired. Perish Song can be used as an alternative to Roar, as it makes the opponent choose between switching and fainting, but Mega Gengar fulfills that role a lot better, and Roar is more effective at immediate phazing. Magic Coat is useful for bouncing back Taunts, but it only really works for leads such as Deoxys-A, and it's hard to find space for it.

Checks & Counters
########
**Ho-Oh**: Ho-Oh resists Steel Arceus's STAB attacks, is immune to Earthquake, and can heal off any damage taken, threatening a powerful Sacred Fire in return.

**Mega Mewtwo x**: Mega Mewtwo X can destroy Arceus with a STAB Low Kick, and the only things it really fears are status conditions.

**Fire-types**: Blaziken, Heatran, Reshiram, and Fire Arceus all threaten Steel Arceus with their respective Fire-type STAB attacks, but they should take care not to switch into a boosted Earthquake.

**Ground-types**: Ground-types can deal heavy damage to, if not outright KO, Steel Arceus with Earthquake or Earth Power. Notable examples include Groudon, Ground Arceus, Excadrill, Landorus-T, Gliscor, and Hippowdon.

**Water-types**: Even though Water is not super effective against Steel, Water-types such as Kyogre and Water Arceus resist Steel Arceus's STAB moves and threaten him with their own respective neutral, but powerful, STAB moves.

**Skarmory**: Although Skarmory doesn't really threaten the Calm Mind set and even fears a boosted Thunder, it has enough physical bulk to completely wall the Swords Dance set. This allows it to Whirlwind Steel Arceus away, along with any boosts he managed to accumulate.

**Mega Scizor**: Mega Scizor can check most Swords Dance variants by easily tanking a boosted Earthquake and retaliating with a strong Superpower.

**Extreme Killer Arceus**: Extreme Killer Arceus that run Earthquake can deal major damage to Steel Arceus after a Swords Dance boost.

**Palkia**: Palkia is able to paralyze Steel Arceus with Thunder Wave and then either phaze him out if he is running a specially defensive EV set or outright KO him with Fire Blast.

**Deoxys-A**: Deoxys-A is able to revenge kill a weakened Steel Arceus, although its checking power is limited due to its frailty.

Support > Calm Mind > Swords Dance IMO, though it's close between the first two. Swords Dance does not have much over Arceus-Ground or Arceus-Normal as a sweeper because of how bad its STAB is.

Overview

Steel Arceus has 10 resistances, not 11. In addition to its 10 resistances, it has an immunity to Poison (you already mentioned the Toxic immunity which is good, very helpful for Calm Mind wars). Ho-Oh is more commonplace, but is NOT a new threat by any stretch of the imagination; it was very common in BW 2 so please rephrase that. Merge the 1st and 4th bullet points as they are fairly redundant...Steel STAB is better this generation, but is hardly elite despite the lack of a Steel immunity in this metagame since so much stuff resists it.

Specifically mention how well this thing does against important threats, such as Fairy types (though it cannot check Geomancy Xerneas with Focus Blast effectively). Resistance to Dragon-type moves is still a major plus as well. You use this Pokemon first and foremost to take advantage of all of those resistances. Even when it sets up a Calm Mind / Swords Dance, that typing gives it opportunities to set up.

Support

I don't feel Steel Arceus has room for Stone Edge, given its need for Recover, Judgment (not Iron Head) and Will-O-Wisp. Defog and Roar are also GREAT on this, especially Roar as it allows you to surprise and phaze out a +2 Xerneas. I propose the following set:

Support
########
name: Support
move 1: Judgment
move 2: Will-O-Wisp
move 3: Roar / Defog
move 4: Recover
ability: Multitype
item: Iron Plate
evs: 252 HP / 236 SpD / 16 Spe
nature: Calm

This spread has a 69% chance to survive a +2 Xerneas Focus Blast after SR and is guaranteed to live if Arceus is at full health. Xerneas lacking Focus Blast are easily phazed out by this, HP Fire and Thunder do pathetic damage (under 50%). It can run 56 Speed to outrun and burn Adamant Rayquaza, but Focus Blast has a 50% chance to kill you after Rocks if you choose to do that, 35% factoring accuracy. Roar also checks and phazes CM Arceus formes such as Electric and Ghost. Will-O-Wisp burns stuff, though this set does not effectively check Extreme Killer so be warned. It also checks Dragons pretty well with proper team support (I.E. use a Ground type to help with Zekrom, use a Fairy like Sylveon to help with Palkia, etc).

Judgment is better than Iron Head, especially if you get burned. Stone Edge is OK on this but not nearly as important as its other moves; mention it in Moves but do not slash it. PLEASE remove the Naive mention, Arceus should never run a nature that does not lower its Attack stat. Instead, just keep the spread you had listed initially. A Physically Defensive spread is viable to help with Zekrom but it checks less than the Specially Defensive spread...mention it anyway.

In Usage Tips, mention that hiding Arceus-Steel is a good idea if the opponent has Xerneas. If they do not know you have Roar Arceus-Steel, they might be compelled to set up prematurely, only to get phazed away and waste their one opportunity to set up. Otherwise, mention that even the Specially Defensive spread does not like taking Rain-boosted water moves and is therefore not a reliable Kyogre / Palkia check by any means. Basically, don't overload Arceus-Steel as many players on the ladder tend to do...just let it check what it needs to check. Remove the Lati twins from Team Options, they suck without Soul Dew. Instead, mention some Pokemon that can team up with Arceus-Steel to check important threats in the metagame. Lando-T / Groudon / Gliscor help with Zekrom, while Tentacruel helps with Genesect (Special Flamethrower can surprise Arceus-Steel). Lando-T also helps with Mega Blaziken. Carrying a Ho-Oh check is a must with this; for example, Heatran and Physically Defensive Kyogre are good options. Also, expand on why the Pokemon you mentioned pair well with Arceus-Steel. Be explicit please.

Calm Mind

Remove the Rash and Modest nature mentions, Steel Arceus needs a Timid nature. Also, Stone Edge sucks on Calm Mind Arceus-Steel because it literally has one target. Thunder 2HKOes Ho-Oh after a Calm Mind boost anyway (also mention it hits Kyogre, Water Arceus, etc). Stress that this Arceus separates itself from other CM Arceus formes due to its immunity to Toxic, meaning that it cannot be put on a timer. Steel possessing no immunities in the metagame is nice, too. Mention Roar in Moves, though don't give it a slash...it gives Arceus a huge advantage in Calm Mind wars and prevents phazing. Will-O-Wisp also deserves a mention, perhaps even a slash with Thunder. It allows Steel Arceus to get chip damage on while checking Kangaskhan. Will-O-Wisp and Roar might seem weird on a Calm Mind set, but because Steel has no immunities Steel Arceus can afford to give up a slot for them.

EV spread should be max HP and Speed if you choose to run Roar. Without Roar, make sure you run at least 112 speed to creep Garchomp, Kangaskhan, and Palkia. Mention this alternative spread in Set Details. Usage Tips depends on what Arceus runs. Roar screws up phazers but invites Ho-Oh...mention that Arceus-Steel should not start setting up until Ho-Oh is dead, unless you run Thunder (and even then, you need Stealth Rock to actually kill Ho-Oh with a +1 Thunder). I basically agree with what you have already though. Team Options needs a Ho-Oh check; specify Physically Defensive Kyogre to deal with Sacred Fire spam. A Kyogre check is also helpful, such as Palkia. I have no idea why Rayquaza makes a good partner apart from Steel Arceus's ability to check Fairies...and if Rayquaza and other dragons get mentioned for that, mention what they can do for Arceus-Steel. Steel Arceus does well vs. Grass Arceus and sets on Amoonguss, making Arceus-Kyogre a symbiotic relationship. What kinds of Pokemon can Rayquaza handle that Arceus-Steel struggles with?

Swords Dance
Swords Dance Arceus formes need speed and coverage. Use this spread, as I have used this SD forme quite a bit:

Swords Dance
########
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Iron Head
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Stone Edge / Recover
ability: Multitype
item: Iron Plate
evs: 252 Atk / 4 HP / 252 Spd
nature: Jolly

Earthquake deserves its own slash, because you get owned by stuff like Heatran and Sacred Sword Aegislash without it. Max Speed allows you to Speed tie (at minimum) other Arceus formes and is important when facing something like Will-O-Wisp Rock Arceus. Recover leaves you walled by Ho-Oh but it is usable. Also mention Overheat, though don't slash it...it makes Superpower Scizor and Skarmory very sad.

Change Set Details to "maximize Attack and Speed," though an alternative with some HP and 112 speed is viable I suppose. Feel free to mention that, but remove the terrible max HP spread. If anything, Steel Arceus's resistances give it an easier time to run power and speed than its Swords Dance bretherin. Remember, this Steel Arceus MUST be able to outrun Garchomp. Mention a status absorber such as Gliscor or Heatran in Team Options to absorb Will-O-Wisps. Specify the rest of your information in Team Options and Usage Tips. Also, make it clear that this set does not check Xerneas well at all, and is instead a purely offensive cleaner.

Other Options

Mention Magic Coat on the Support set and ExtremeSpeed for the Swords Dance set. Magic Coat is a good move but Support Steelceus struggles to fit it on its already crowded moveset. Priority is nice and can ambush Deoxys-A, but ESpeed is pretty awful on a Pokemon that already struggles with coverage. Fire Blast hits Scizor that try to use Steelceus as Defog bait I guess. Thunder Wave can get mentioned as well as an alternative status move, though this leaves Steel Arceus helpless vs. Ground types. Also mention Toxic and Perish Song. REMOVE WORK UP.

Checks & Counters
Move Mega Mewtwo X to #2 on the list, it destroys Steel Arceus with Low Kick and really only fears status. At least Steel Arceus can outrun the other Ground types, excluding Ground Arceus. Mention Excadrill and Kyogre, both aggravate Steel Arceus if it lacks WoW for Excadrill or Thunder for Kyogre. Life Orb Deoxys-A can revenge with Low Kick or Superpower. Arceus-Water can usually win 1-1. Heatran is another excellent check, because it fears nothing while hitting you super effectively back (or simply phazing you out if you are the CM variants; it loses to SD Arceus Steel though).

I know that this is a skeleton, but please be more explicit and detailed. In particular, the Team Options and Usage Tips section need to be fleshed out so that the QC team can understand why you are mentioning Pokemon like Rayquaza as good team members. There were a lot of sub-optimal spreads and movesets in this analysis and though you did get some information right, I would advise you to extensively playtest this Pokemon before getting your first QC check. By "extensively," I mean ~50 matches with each of these three sets. I'm not trying to be hard on you, I just want this analysis to turn out well.

DID I DO GOOD FIREBURN???

Alright, I did some more testing with Him, and I feel that a good order to the sets is CM—>Support—>SD. I have made a few minor changes to the OP, and am now ready for more QC checks (Thanks to Sweep for the initial feedback).

"as Calm Mind doesn't boost your stats by a whole lot, and you'll still be prone to Physical Attackers" remove this in Usage Tips from the Calm Mind set, as Calm Mind does make a big difference in terms of Arceus's stats.

I like support so long your team can handle Ho-Oh, but the rest of the QC team abhors it. I'm not sure if it will even get its own set. Admittedly Steel Arceus is not the best support Arceus forme around, but I still like it for fairies in general (CM Fairy Arceus and non-Power Herb offensive Xerneas do exist in the metagame!) and Steel itself is a good defensive typing. IDK, I'll let other QC handle the support set but I'm fine with this analysis as is. Talk about the advantages and disadvantages that Steel Arceus has as a Swords Dance sweeper over stuff like Ground Arceus and Normal Arceus,

  • You can also attempt to invest 112 EVs in Speed if outspeeding base 100s is your only concern. Then, you'll have 144 EVs left over to dump into something
Only 96 speed is necessary to outspeed base 100's, however 112 speed evs outspeeds Garchomp (102)- something that nobody ever uses, yet QC decided that arceus should outspeed it.....?

Because even though it isn't common, outspeeding Garchomp is huge for Steelceus. Besides, losing 16 hp ev's isn't a big deal.

Overview
Cool. Ho-Oh was always prominent but can be harder to deal with now.

CM
Reverse the slashing of WoW and Thunder pls. I think CM Steelceus is cooler as a sort of support Arceus (status but not Defog) with CM than an actual CM sweeper (something like Eleceus mostly does that better). With WoW it can lure and cripple Ground-types and kinda check Kanga and Ekiller (if Ekiller isn't Jolly and if it doesn't switch into Kanga's EQ). For Thunder also mention that it's important for Kyogre which has huge SDef and resists Judgment (while being able to pressure you well with rain-boosted STAB unless you have like 2 boosts already). Mention Lando-T as a GREAT partner (checks Ho-Oh and Blaze, immune to Ground, resists Fighting, SR too, provides SR to break Ho-oh). Rayquaza does have good synergy on paper but no. Giratina-O has that covered much better (better bulk, is also immune to Fighting, can kinda check Blaze if it's at full health) and gets Defog too (which can be cool since Arceus isn't carrying it).

Support
Yeah please move this to OO. Even with massive investment it still struggles to take on Focus Blast Geo Xern, and the massive investment makes it worse in general (eg it can't check Kanga because Kanga outspeeds and has a crushing EQ). It also almost dies just to phaze Geo Xern, instead of KOing it (= inferior way to check). It's also a bad Defog Arceus because it's so weak to Ho-Oh. While it DOES have cool typing, another Arceus is mostly cooler (Water and Fairyceus have really great typing and most other support formes are hard to justify). Roar is pretty lame too (only good for Geo Xern really), and if you're not running Defog or Roar your options are pretty much outclassed by CM, so people might as well be using the bulkier (140 Def 112+ speed) CM set.

SD
Mention that Groundceus is mostly better, pretty much the only reason to use this is if you really need Steelceus' resistances (although it can't tank too much, especially if it lacks Recover). Mention Lando-T again and expand on Team Options, eg stuff like Yveltal to kill Giratina formes. Other moves options should be in Moves, not Set Details.

OO
Support Steelceus here, with Defog. Magic Coat here. Roar here. Mention the super bulky spread if someone really wants to check Xerneas with Steelceus.

Checks & Counters
Blaziken, especially against CM + WoW (just can't switch into EQ from SD). I'm not sure how Waterceus beats CM with Thunder? But the other sets sure. Heatran has to watch out for the SD set. Group Ground-types together, there's no need to have them separately (Gliscor and Lando-T deserve mention too, although they can't take on CM really, just as Hippo can't). Deo-A should be last since it can only revenge kill (and dies if you happen to use Espeed, even though Espeed sucks).

QC: 2/3

This is what I had typed up as placeholder for the dex, take from it what you will. Keep in mind there's only one set because I was only doing the main set.

Overview
########
- Disappearence of Soul Dew and the rise of Fairy Arceus as well as other metagame shifts have left Steel Arceus in obscurity
- Still has a significant advantage in that it is naturally immune to Toxic, an omniprescent move in Ubers
- Steel typing still has plenty of useful resists giving Steel Arceus some significant use for a team. It can even check the ever popular Geomancy Xerneas if they drop Focus Blast for a different coverage move, a fairly common occurence
- It also suffers a lot more from it's weaknesses with new threats like Mega Blaziken being so dominant as well as losing resistences to Dark- and Ghost-type moves that it had before

Calm Mind
########
name: Calm Mind
move 1: Judgment
move 2: Calm Mind
move 3: Recover
move 4: Will-O-Wisp / Thunder
item: Iron Plate
nature: Timid
evs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 Spe

Moves
========

- Judgment is a reliable STAB move that has become a lot more useful offensively with the introduction of Fairy types. It still maintains a number of common resistences but the lack of immunities makes it an acceptable move for a mono-attacking set
- Calm Mind boosts Steel Arceus's Judgment so that it can muscle past bulkier Pokemon as well as boosts it's Special Defense to make Steel Arceus that much more difficult to take down
- Recover keeps Steel Arceus healthy so that it can do more things
- Will-O-Wisp burns Ground-types like Landorus-T and Groudon that could otherwise tank a Judgment and hit back hard with a strong Earthquake. It also works well with Calm Mind in general as it cripples any physical attacker much like how Calm Mind makes Arceus more resilient to special attacks.
- Thunder makes up for the mediocre coverage Steel-type Judgment has at times by nailing Kyogre and Ho-Oh
- Roar can beat Pokemon that attempt to phaze away Steel Arceus's boost by forcing them out first. It can also help win against other Arceus formes in Calm Mind wars.
- Substitute blocks status Steel Arceus isn't immune to like paralysis and burn as well as moves like Leech Seed.

Set Details
========

- Maximum HP with maximum Speed is best to take hits as well as possible while being able to outspeed as many threats as possible to Calm Mind or Will-O-Wisp before attacks.

Usage Tips
========

- Scouting sets is fairly important to Steel Arceus as it can be very successful or less so depending on the coverage moves certain Pokemon choose. For example, Xerneas that opt out of Focus Blast or Groudon with Lum Berry. Granted, some sets are very difficult to scout due to the nature of the Pokemon but they are variables to consider when constructing a game plan with Steel Arceus.
- At the same time, the Toxic immunity allows you to play a bit more recklessly without fearing losing your Calm Mind Arceus to common filler move
- Steel Arceus's wide array of resistences allows makes it easy for it to be active outside of trying to sweep with Calm Mind and check assorted threats like Zekrom's Outrage or defensive Fairy-types
- Calm Mind can be used to force your opponent's hand into bringing out specific checks so that Steel Arceus can hit it with an attack and switch out before it risks fainting. For example, using Calm Mind on a Palkia can force Roar Dialga into play so that you can burn it and get residual damage on a check. Even if your opponent anticipates this and considers going straight to the check, simply the threat of Calm Mind has done its job and you can opt to go straight for Will-O-Wisp.
- Keep in mind a last mon Steel Arceus can't be phazed out. You can let your teammates die off if your opponent's only remaining check to Steel Arceus is Roar, Whirlwind, or Dragon Tail

Team Options
========

- Kyogre pairs well with Steel Arceus, especially if it opts to use Thunder, as Steel Arceus is quite vulnerable to Fire-types and Kyogre's rain can help limit the damage they deal to your team
- Ground-type switch-ins, like Landorus-T, can be valuable to avoid getting smashed by an Earthquake, more so if you drop Will-O-Wisp
- Landorus-T can also switch into Thunder Waves aimed at Steel Arceus
- Having other special attackers, like Darkrai, that lure out defensive Kyogre is helpful to overload it and open a path for Steel Arceus to sweep

Other Options
########

- Ice Beam can nail Landorus-T and Rayquaza but it's a very specialized move that doesn't synergize well with the other moves Steel Arceus uses
- Toxic is nice for crippling opposing Calm Mind Arceus and other Pokemon that aren't bothered by Will-O-Wisp's burn drop

Checks & Counters
########

**Fire-types**: Charizard, Ho-Oh, and Blaziken are all very dangerous for a Steel Arceus. Thunder may help with Ho-Oh, Charizard Y, and, to a certain extent, Mega Blaziken but even then there remains the threat of Mega Charizard X and even the odd Reshiram. Heatran can easily switch in and phaze with Roar or burn with Lava Plume. If Heatran managed to come in on Will-O-Wisp and the Steel Arceus didn't use Calm Mind, its Lava Plume can leave quite a dent.
**Kyogre**: Defensive Kyogre can easily switch into Steel Arceus, attack it with Scald to get a burn, and then phaze out the boost it gathered with Roar. Boosted Thunders are bothersome, though.
**Ground-types**: Groudon, Excadrill, Ground Arceus, and Landorus-T can also pester Steel Arceus if it lacks Will-O-Wisp or if the Ground-type holds a Lum Berry.
**Zekrom**: If Steel Arceus drops Will-O-Wisp for Thunder, Zekrom can easily switch in and spam Bolt Strike. The inperfect accuracy and low pp being offset by the high power and paralysis chance.
**Dialga**: Has no difficulty in switching in and phazing Steel Arceus out with Roar.
**Mewtwo**: Mega Mewtwo X outspeeds and can crush Steel Arceus with his Fighting-type STAB. Mega Mewtwo Y can engage in a CM war of sorts and take advantage of its excellent stats and movepool to break Steel Arceus. Steel Arceus will need to not have gathered any Calm Mind boosts beforehand for Mega Mewtwo Y to be successful.
**Klefki**: Can abuse its priority Thunder Wave to cripple Steel Arceus and open it up to slower Pokemon that it wasn't vulnerable to before as well as prevent it from using Recover repeatedly.
**Lucario**: Lucario is fragile, dislikes burns, and is slower than Steel Arceus but it resists Judgment and has a power STAB Close Combat.

Blue Jay Thanks for the check! Is it alright if I just copy the whole support set and put it under a spoiler tab? That way, I don't have to explain the whole thing again if people need it. Otherwise, going to implement the rest of your changes shortly.
Melee Mewtwo That placeholder can work.

I personally never liked the superimp overviews from last gen but I can understand the appeal. Still, if we could cut back on the pure prose type sentences like the first and last ones that would help make things a bit more palatable for guys like me. Hack's right about those CM Arceus formes hitting the 176 speed evs benchmark to mess with Mega Gengar that haven't mega evolved yet. You can still mention the Garchomp benchmark in set details, though, for those who like bulk. Other moveoptions (like extremespeed for SD) get mentioned in the moves section not set details. Quick mention in usage tips for CM that you can play this Arceus just like a support Arceus cause of typing + status immunity + wisp without necessarily going for the boosts. It's actually advised to play it this way and then boost when you've broken down the checks. Don't bother explaining much on the support set, just give the 4 moves it would use (a support set that consists of w,x,y,z could be used but....) and explain briefly why it sucks. If you want to group counters more you can put water types together and the fire types together. -MM2

I personally never liked the superimp overviews from last gen but I can understand the appeal. Still, if we could cut back on the pure prose type sentences like the first and last ones that would help make things a bit more palatable for guys like me.

I don't mind flowery overviews normally but I feel like this one is a bit too much in the sense that it obfuscates why you want to use Steelceus and what his flaws are in the current metagame. I would tone it down and make it more straightforward and specific. In particular you should mention Ho-Oh AND Blaziken as huge debbie downers and how its limited as a Geomancy Xerneas check due to Focus Blast owning the crap out of Steelceus. Also you really don't need to do the whole capitalization "He" thing lol.

For Calm Mind - He's not immune to "many" status conditions, just Poison. Also it's Landorus-T, not Therian forme Landorus. Furthermore, you need to emphasize how helpful Stealth Rock is as its crucial to beating Ho-Oh. Fairies are useful partners for clerical support and taking Fighting attacks. TWave Palkia + Ground is a really nasty core for this set to face which is where the Fairies come in. Physically Defensive Xerneas is great, it can check MMX really well and can tank a hit from Blaziken if need.

Team Options for SD are kinda skimpy...mention Yveltal, it can switch in on Giratina/Grounds while Steelceus can set-up on bulky Fairies. Mixed Rayquaza can also help take down the bulky Grounds and it too appreciates having a Fairy switch in.

Mega Scizor is a check to SD sets without Recover, it takes +2 Quake with ease and inflicts huge damage back with Superpower.

Deoxys-A is a check, can't switch in but Low Kick inflicts enormous damage.

Palkia is sort of a check, it can TWave -> Fire Blast or phaze CM if the SpD set.

Very sorry for not getting back to you on this sooner, been really busy. You've been eager to get this done and I appreciate the enthusiasm. Just remember not to go too fluffy on the prose, elegance in writing is great but make sure the main points (refer to your skeleton) are clear.

Deoxys-A is a check, can't switch in but Low Kick inflicts enormous damage.
This was discussed in a few posts that you deleted, and we determined that Deoxys-A shouldn't be mentioned in the C/C section. Should I ignore those posts, or should it stay off the list?

alright so I was going to GP this earlier, but this is just filled with so much fluff. basically what fireburn said; half the time I have no idea what a sentence means with all the 'He' and 'almighty' stuff, and this makes it a major pain to edit.

anyway, I also talked to a gp mod about this:
Calm Pokemaster said:
Hmm yes, I think we did away with the 'epic analysis' stuff for Arceus with BW. I suggest you contact the author of that analysis about this and ask him to remove all the fluff :/
so basically, I know it's going to be a pain, but could you rewrite this without the hyperbole and 'epic' stuff, then post it back on the GP queue?

I fixed most of the fluff, and now it's a boring old analysis like it should be. I did, however, keep the 'He' parts, just for clarity.

Overview

When equipped with an Iron Plate, Arceus takes on a more rigid
ified incarnation, sporting a resistance to eleven of the eighteen types. This, combined with his 720 base stat total of 720, makes him the most defensive of all of the Arceus types and a majority of the rest of the Pokéemon (if you want to use the accent, there is a special HTML thing you have to use). This is very helpful for Him in a metagame infested with Dragon-(add hyphen)types, for their most powerful unboosted STABs moves don't come even close to a 3HKO on His metallic being fluff, let alone a 2HKO. He is also granted an immunity to Poison, and with this immunity comes the benefit of being immune to Toxic, meaning that his sweeping sets are less restricted than most other sweepers. With the addition of Fairy-(types)types, He has a new reason to go offensive, for He has gained a new type against which his STAB is super effective.

While all of this very beneficial to a Pok
éemon that likes to go offensive, there are a few things that hold him back from being unstoppable. The rise in usage of Blaziken and Ho-Oh has really limited his you are using "him" as a proper noun. Don't. He's not god. "Him" is a pronoun time on the battlefield. Furthermore, checking Xerneas,(RC) is somewhat troublesome, due to the Life Pokéemon nicknames and slang are usually frowned upon but I'm not sure whether or not this is acceptable running Focus Blast as a coverage move. Nevertheless, Steel Arceus is a force to be reckoned with, and must be prepared for if you don't want to be seeing gray. This is sort of cliche, but I'll let a full GP member deal with that...

Calm Mind
########
name: Calm Mind
move 1: Calm Mind
move 2: Judgment
move 3: Will-O-Wisp / Thunder
move 4: Recover
ability: Multitype
item: Iron Plate
evs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
nature: Timid

Moves
========
Calm Mind Steel Arceus is unique from his other types in that he is immune to being badly poisoned, meaning his sweeping days aren't numbered. Judgment is his strongest special STAB move, and after a Calm Mind boost, it does considerable damage to Xerneas, even after a Geomancy. Will-O-Wisp is useful for giving residual damage to opponents that don't mind taking a Judgment, and it is notable for countering Mega Kangaskhan. Alternatively, if Ho-Oh is a major concern for you, Thunder can be used, and it offers a respectable damage output after a boost. For the last move, Recover is preferred, as it gives Steel Arceus a longer lifespan and more sweeping time. Roar is another option that can help win wars with opposing Calm Mind Arceus.

Set Details
========
Calm Mind Steel Arceus Steel gotta keep it consistent should run maximum investment in HP and Speed if he runs Roar, in order to survive a hit and successfully switch out the opponent. If not running Roar, then it is best to have at least 176 EVs in Speed to outspeed Mega Gengar, leaving 80 EVs free. Alternatively, if Mega Gengar is not your top priority, consider 112 EVs in Speed to outspeed Pokéemon with base 100 Speed and Garchomp. By doing that, 144 EVs will be left over to put into other stats.

Usage Tips
========
Calm Mind Arceus Steel is not meant to sweep you have used sweep like three times in this set. Does he sweep or not? as much as he is meant to tank hits while taking out foes. In fact, he functions almost like a Support Arceus, because he has access to a great defensive typing,(RC) which provides an immunity to Poison, indifference to burn's Attack drop, and access to Will-O-Wisp. Therefore, when sending out Steel Arceus, initially it is best to treat him as a Support Arceus, and only afterward, when his checks and counters have been eliminated, should he start boosting for a clean finish. Spamming boosts prematurely is not preferred, as it will most likely attract pseudo-hazers phazers who will blow away all of his precious stat increases. However, boosting too late in the game can also have negative consequences, like being setup bait for opposing sweepers. For this reason, if Steel Arceus can take out an opponent, it's best that He takes out an opponent. Finally, He should not begin to set up until Ho-Oh is gone unless He runs Thunder, which will easily KO at +1 after the Rainbow Pokéemon has taken Stealth Rock damage.

Team Options
========
With the prominence of Fire-types this Generation, having a Pokéemon like Kyogre who can easily diminish remove that weakness is strongly encouraged. Steel Arceus can also handle the Grass-types that are problematic for Kyogre, making them a symbiotic duo. Specifically, Physically Defensive Kyogre works well at taking a hit from Ho-Oh that like to spam Sacred Fire and retaliating with a Powerful Wave (Surf) BAAAAD isn't Scald usually better anyways?. Landorus-T is also a good partner to have on the team. It handles Ho-Oh and Blaziken with Stone Edge and Earthquake, respectively, while being immune to the Ground-type moves that Steel Arceus despises. If not running either, then at least running a check to Ho-Oh is mandatory, as well as a Stealth Rock user.

For other troublesome Pokéemon, Palkia is a useful teammate if checking Kyogre is a priority, having only having weaknesses that are resisted by Steel Arceus. Giratina is also useful for providing type synergy. Giratina-O is immune to Earthquake Ground- Earth Power is a thing too and Fighting-types moves, and it resists Fire-type attacks, while Steel Arceus can take on the Ice-, Dragon-, and Fairy-types that plague the Renegade Pokémon Giratine. Steel Arceus does not particularly enjoy facing a Palkia with Thunder Wave, so having a Fairy-type partner for healing and tanking Fighting-type moves, like Xerneas, is encouraged; Xerneas can also dispose of Mega Mewtwo X and Blaziken quite nicely.

Swords Dance
########
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Iron Head
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Stone Edge / Recover
ability: Multitype
item: Iron Plate
evs: 252 Atk / 4 HP / 252 Spd
nature: Jolly

Moves
========
If a physical set is required, Steel Arceus is no slouch with his Swords Dance. Iron Head is His most reliable Steel-type STAB move, having a respectable 80 Base Power and a handy 30% flinch chance. Earthquake provides good coverage, and is useful for hitting things that resist His Cranium of Steel Iron Head STOPSTOPSTOP PLEASE MY EEEEYEEEES THEY BUUUUUUUUUUUUUURN, such as Heatran and Aegislash. For the last moveslot, Stone Edge rounds out the coverage, hitting everything that resists Earthquake and Iron Head, and providing a solid answer to Ho-Oh. On the other hand, if coverage is not needed, Recover is once again an option to help prolong his lifespan.

There are a couple more options that can benefit Steel Arceus, but are difficult to include in his moveset. Overheat can be useful for getting a lot of damage on Scizor and Skarmory, but it doesn't have much use outside of that. Extreme Speed can surprise Deoxys-Attack, but it doesn't provide good coverage for a Pokéemon that is already struggling to fit it in. Shouldn't this be in other options?

Set Details
========
This set is purely for offense, and his numerous resistances provide Him with enough defense as is; as such, power and Speed should be maximized. Investing in HP can be worthwhile, but it is imperative that Speed≥112 to what does this mean he outspeed all Garchomp that don't run Choice Scarf.

Usage Tips
========
Ground Arceus should be used over Swords Dance Steel Arceus if offensive presence is needed. However, what sets Steel Arceus apart from His Earthly Counterpart is his typing and the eleven resistances that come with it. Therefore, this set is best used as a late-game cleaner, because He is likely to survive long enough to get to a point where attaining Swords Dance boosts is easily accomplished. This set functions similarly to the Calm Mind set in that knowing when to boost is as important as knowing when to attack and/or regain HP, due to the aforementioned reasons. Something to note, however, is that this set is NOT meant to check Xerneas; but rather to clean late-game. rather, it's purely for janitorial functions.

Team Options
========
As always, Kyogre is very good at dousing I don't think there is technically anything wrong with this Steel Arceus's Fire weakness, and it still gets first mention. And, as always, a check to the Rainbow Pokémon Ho-Oh, like Physically Defensive Kyogre and or Landorus-T, is needed. Since he is now physically offensive, having a Pokéemon that can absorb status conditions, like Gliscor or Heatran, is necessary to give him an easier time switching in and setting up. And, just like Calm Mind, Giratina-Origin provides good type synergy with his Steel typing. Other Pokéemon to consider for teammates include Yveltal, who can switch in to Ghost- and Ground-types, and mixed Rayquaza, who can take out bulky Ground-(add hyphen)types. Both of these Pokémon appreciate Steel Arceus's resistance to the Fairy type.

Other Options
########
Steel Arceus's numerous resistances allow him to run a number of other options in his movesets. A support set consisting of Judgment, Will-O-Wisp, Roar(add space)/(add space)Defog, and Recover could work, but it is too similar to the Calm Mind set, and other Arceus types,(RC) like Grass, Fairy, and Water, are better suited for this role. In terms of status conditions, Thunder Wave and Toxic can be used to inflict paralysis and bad poisoning, but they leave him walled by Ground- and Electric-types, for the former, and Steel- and Poison-types, for the latter. Roar can be used to force out unwanted foes, but Steel Arceus is not very effective when it comes to keeping them out. Fire Blast can nab Scizor and Skarmory, but shaky accuracy and lower base power than Overheat leave something to be desired. Perish Song can be used as an alternative to Roar, as it make the opponent choose between switching and fainting, but Roar is more effective at immediate switching out, and Mega Gengar fulfills that role a lot better. Magic Coat is useful for sending back Taunts, but it only really works for leads such as Deoxys-(add hyphen)Attack, and it's hard to find space for it.

Checks & Counters
########
**Ho-Oh**: Ho-Oh resists His STAB attacks, is immune to Earthquake, and can heal off any damage taken, threatening a powerful Sacred Fire in return.

**Mewtwo**: Mega Mewtwo X can destroy Arceus with a STAB Low Kick, and the only things it really fears are status conditions.

**Other Fire-types**: Blaziken, Heatran, Reshiram, and Fire Arceus all threaten Steel Arceus with their respective Fire-type STABs moves, but they should take care not to switch into a Swords Dance-boosted Earthquake.

**Ground-types**: Ground-types can threaten to pull off a powerful Earthquake, which will take away significant HP from Steel Arceus, if not outright KO'ing him. Notable examples include Groudon, Ground Arceus, Excadrill, Landorus-T, Gliscor, and Hippowdon.

**Water-types**: Even though Water is not super effective against Steel, Water-types such as Kyogre and Water Arceus resist Steel Arceus's STAB moves and threaten him with their own respective neutral,(AC) but powerful,(AC) STABs moves.

**Skarmory**: Although Skarmory doesn't really affect the Calm Mind set, and even fears a boosted Thunder, it has enough physical bulk to completely wall the Swords Dance set. This allows it to Whirlwind him away, along with any boosts he managed to accumulate.

**Mega Scizor**: Mega Scizor can check most Swords Dance variants by easily tanking a boosted Earthquake. It can then retaliate with a strong Superpower.

**Arceus**: Plate-less Extreme(add space)Killer Arceus that run Earthquake can deal major damage to Steel Arceus after a Swords Dance boost.

**Palkia**: Palkia is able to paralyze Steel Arceus with Thunder Wave, and then either phaze him out if he is running a Specially Defensive EV spread set he doesn't need to be running Specially Defensive EVs to use phazing moves, or outright roast KO him with Fire Blast.

**Deoxys-(add hyphen)Attack**: Deoxys-A is able to revenge kill a weakened Steel Arceus, although its checking power is limited due to its frailty.
None of this needs to be bolded...

There were quite a few things wrong here... I would recommend checking out the Spelling and Grammar Standards for more information.

He is also granted also has an immunity to Poison, and with this immunity comes the benefit of being immune to and by extension, Toxic, meaning that his sweeping sets are less restricted than most other sweepers. With the addition of Fairy-types, he has a new reason to go offensive, for he has gained a new type against which His STAB is super effective Additionally, his STAB moves are now more potent than before, as they hit Fairy-types super effectively. (Don't write an analysis in a form that emphasizes changes by generation. This includes phrases such as "with the introduction of Fairy-types" )

While all of this very beneficial to a Pokemon that likes to go offensive, there are a few things that hold him Steel Arceus back from being unstoppable. The rise in usage of Blaziken and Ho-Oh has really limited His time on the battlefield means he can't sweep that easily. Furthermore, checking Xerneas is somewhat troublesome, due to the Life Pokemon running as it often runs Focus Blast as a coverage move. Nevertheless, Steel Arceus is a force to be reckoned with, and must be prepared for if you don't want to be annihilated.

Calm Mind
########
name: Calm Mind
move 1: Calm Mind
move 2: Judgment
move 3: Will-O-Wisp / Thunder
move 4: Recover
ability: Multitype
item: Iron Plate
evs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
nature: Timid

Moves
========
Calm Mind Steel Arceus is unique from His other types offensive Arceus formes in that he is immune to being badly poisoned Toxic, meaning His sweeping days aren't numbered his sweep can't be short by the same. Judgment is his strongest special STAB move, and after a Calm Mind boost, it does considerable damage to Xerneas, even after a Geomancy. Will-O-Wisp is useful for giving getting residual damage to opponents that don't mind taking a Judgment, and it is notable for countering Mega Kangaskhan. Alternatively, if Ho-Oh is a major concern for you, Thunder can be used, and it offers a respectable damage output after a boost. For the last move, Recover is preferred, as it gives Steel Arceus a longer lifespan more longevity and more field time to set up. Roar is another option that can help win wars with opposing Calm Mind Arceus.

Set Details
========
Calm Mind Steel Arceus should run maximum investment in HP and Speed if he runs Roar, in order to survive a hit and successfully switch phaze out the opponent.

Usage Tips
========
Calm Mind Arceus Steel is not meant to sweep as much as he is meant to tank hits while taking out foes. In fact, he functions almost like a support Arceus, because he has access to a great defensive typing that provides a Poison immunity to Poison (this makes it sound like you're talking about the status), indifference to doesn't mind burn's Attack drop, and access to can cripple physical attackers with Will-O-Wisp (The way you worded it made it look like Steel Arceus's typing gave it these three attributes). Therefore, when sending out Steel Arceus, initially it is best to treat him as a support Arceus, and only afterward, when his checks and counters have been eliminated, should he start boosting for a clean finish. Spamming boosts Setting up prematurely is not preferred, as it will most likely attract phazers who will blow away all of His precious stat increases who will render his boosts useless. However, boosting too late in the game can also have negative consequences, like being setup bait for opposing sweepers. For this reason, if Steel Arceus can take out an opponent, it's best that he takes out an opponent does so. Finally, he should not begin to set up until Ho-Oh is gone unless he runs Thunder, which will easily KO at +1 after the Rainbow Pokemon latter has taken Stealth Rock damage.

Team Options
========
With the prominence of Fire-types this generation, having a Pokemon like Kyogre who can easily remove that weakness is strongly encouraged. Steel Arceus can also handle the Grass-types that are problematic for Kyogre, making them a symbiotic duo great pair. (afaik, a symbiotic relationship is one where both partners need not necessarily benefit) Specifically, physically defensive Kyogre works well at taking a hit from Ho-Oh that like to spam Sacred Fire and retaliating with a searing Scald. Landorus-T is also a good partner to have on the teammate, as it handles Ho-Oh and Blaziken with Stone Edge and Earthquake, respectively, while being immune to the Ground-type moves that Steel Arceus despises. If not running either, then at least running a check to Ho-Oh is mandatory, as well as a Stealth Rock user.

For other troublesome Pokemon, Palkia is a useful teammate if checking Kyogre is a priority, only having weaknesses that are all resisted by Steel Arceus. Giratina-O is also useful for providing type synergy. Giratina-O is immune to Ground- and Fighting-type moves, and it resists Fire-type attacks, while Steel Arceus can take on the Ice-, Dragon-, and Fairy-types that plague the Renegade Pokémon former. (It's not strictly wrong, but it's better to just use their name if you want to refer to them. Phrases likes "Life Pokemon" and "Renegade Pokemon" is generally best avoided) Steel Arceus does not particularly enjoy facing a Palkia with Thunder Wave, so having a Fairy-type partner for healing and tanking Fighting-type moves, like Xerneas, is encouraged; Xerneas can also dispose of Mega Mewtwo X and Blaziken quite nicely.

Swords Dance
########
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Iron Head
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Stone Edge / Recover
ability: Multitype
item: Iron Plate
evs: 252 Atk / 4 HP / 252 Spd
nature: Jolly

Moves
========
If a physical set is required, Steel Arceus is no slouch with his Swords Dance. Iron Head is his most reliable Steel-type STAB move, having a respectable 80 Base Power and a handy 30% flinch chance. Earthquake provides good coverage, (remove comma) and is useful for hitting things that resist Iron Head, such as Heatran and Aegislash. For the last moveslot, Stone Edge rounds out the coverage, hitting everything that resists Earthquake and Iron Head, (remove comma) and providing a solid answer to Ho-Oh. On the other hand, if coverage is not needed, Recover is once again an option to help prolong His Steel Arceus's lifespan.

There are a couple more options that can benefit Steel Arceus, but are difficult to include in his moveset. Overheat can be useful for getting a lot of damage on Scizor and Skarmory, but it doesn't have much use outside of that. Extreme Speed can surprise Deoxys-A, but it doesn't provide good coverage for a Pokemon that is already struggling to fit it in.

Set Details
========
This set is purely for offense, and His Steel Arceus's numerous resistances provide him with enough defense as is; as such, power Special Attack and Speed should be maximized. Investing in HP can be worthwhile, but it is imperative that his Speed is Steel Arceus runs at least 112 Speed EVs to outspeed all Garchomp that don't run Choice Scarf.

Usage Tips
========
Ground Arceus should be used over Swords Dance Steel Arceus if offensive presence is needed. However, Though Ground Arceus has a greater offensive presence, what sets Steel Arceus apart is his typing and the eleven resistances that come with it. Something to note, however, is that this set is not meant to check Xerneas; rather, it's purely for late-game cleaning.

Team Options
========
As always, Kyogre is very good at dousing mitigating (Kyogre doesn't 'douse' or 'remove' Steel Arceus's Fire weakness; it only makes it less of an issue) Steel Arceus's Fire weakness, and it still gets first mention. And, As always, a check to Ho-Oh, like physically defensive Kyogre or Landorus-T, is needed. Since he is now physically offensive, having a Pokemon that can absorb status conditions burns, like Gliscor or Heatran, is necessary to give him Steel Arceus an easier time switching in and setting up. And, just like Calm Mind, Giratina-O provides good type synergy and is thus a good partner with His Steel typing.

In terms of Status conditions, Thunder Wave and Toxic can be used to inflict paralysis and bad poisoning spread status, but they leave him Steel Arceus walled by Ground- and Electric-types, for the former, and Steel- and Poison-types, for the latter. Roar can be used to force out unwanted foes, but Steel Arceus is not very effective when it comes to keeping them out. Fire Blast can nab Scizor and Skarmory, but shaky accuracy and lower Base Power than Overheat leave something to be desired. Perish Song can be used as an alternative to Roar, as it make the opponent choose between switching and fainting, but Roar is more effective at immediate switching out phazing, and Mega Gengar fulfills that role a lot better. Magic Coat is useful for sending bouncing back Taunts, but it only really works for leads such as Deoxys-A Deoxys Attack, and it's hard to find space for it.

Checks & Counters
########
**Ho-Oh**: Ho-Oh resists His Steel Arceus's STAB attacks, is immune to Earthquake, and can heal off any damage taken, threatening a powerful Sacred Fire in return.

**Mega Mewtwo X**: Mega Mewtwo X can destroy Arceus with a STAB Low Kick, and the only things it really fears are status conditions.

**Fire-types**: Blaziken, Heatran, Reshiram, and Fire Arceus all threaten Steel Arceus with their respective Fire-type STAB attacks, but they should take care not to switch into a Swords Dance-boosted Earthquake.

**Ground-types**: Ground-types can threaten to pull off a powerful Earthquake, which will take away significant HP from Steel Arceus deal heavy damage to, if not outright KO him, Steel Arceus with Earthquake.

**Skarmory**: Although Skarmory doesn't really affect threaten the Calm Mind set, (remove comma) and even fears a boosted Thunder, it has enough physical bulk to completely wall the Swords Dance set. This allows it to Whirlwind him Steel Arceus away, along with any boosts he managed to accumulate.

**Mega Scizor**: Mega Scizor can check most Swords Dance variants by easily tanking a boosted Earthquake. It can then and retaliating with a strong Superpower.

**Extreme Killer Arceus**: Extreme Killer Arceus that run Earthquake can deal major damage to Steel Arceus after a Swords Dance boost.

**Palkia**: Palkia is able to paralyze Steel Arceus with Thunder Wave, (remove comma) and then either phaze him out if he is running a specially defensive EV set, (remove comma) or outright KO him with Fire Blast.

**Deoxys-A**: Deoxys-A is able to revenge kill a weakened Steel Arceus, although its checking power is limited due to its frailty.

(unbold the sub-headings please)

You refer to Steel Arceus as 'him', so you must refer to other Pokemon as 'he / she' too for consistency. I leave it to you decide how you want to change it: either make everything 'he / she', or just call Steel Arceus 'it' too.

One more thing: please don't capitalize 'His' / 'He'... you only do all that 'epic writing' stuff in Overviews, and that too not invariably ._.
