[Battling 101] Toon vs Blank Slate2356

Since Ralts isn't a ghost type, Earthquake isn't my strongest attack anymore, strong move ye, but my Normal moves are like Frustration and even Return do alot more just fyi . Setting Up Misty Terrain is good because 1, it boosts Fairy moves hurting my Komala and hurting Tyrogue even more and 2 I have no way of stopping you from doing it. Bewear (heh) That I may be at low EN, I can still recover it by using the Command Chill and since you're using Misty Terrain as a main order you'd allow me to have a free action to Chill without suffering anything major.

Getting rid of the Komala seems like a good objective, except Komala was sortag going to KO himself exhausting himself into an ENKO. using a move twice in a row will make moves cost more en aka 'consecutive energy' since I used Frustration as my last action I would spend 4 more en with the original en cost to frustration a1 and then after Koda uses REturn a2, he Exhausts. You also spend some consecutive energy but thanks to Fairy STAB

Makes it a little less pricey for your Ralts but still exhausting. A better set of orders here were to avoid the Frustration using a move that differs from ingame, Teleport. Teleport has two functions: 1) to self-switch out similar to baton pass and such, and 2) Evasion, which allows you to avoid damage that is not a spread move (i.e rock slide, heat wave, earthquake etc). Keep in mind you can't do it consecutively, think of Teleport (Evasion) like Protect, except you dont waste extra energy when using Teleport.

Where was I. Oh a better set of orders here was to use Teleport (Evasion) and then use a set up move where it's free or even Chill and recover back some Energy.

IF Bullet Punch, THEN Teleport the first instance, Disable (Bullet Punch) the second instance.
IF under successful P/E, THEN Chill.
 
Few things

You can't trace for free once the Pokémon is already out. When the Pokémon is out you will need to use one of your actions to activate the Trace Command

If you're wanting to using Evasion form of Teleport, you need to specify that and say Teleport (Evasion/evade/etc) or else it will default to Teleport (Switch)

Although trying for double team hax is fun and could help you win, just like Teleport (Evasion) and Agility (Evasion) I can break your clones by using a spread move like Rock Slide or Earthquake.

Since this is your first battle so it's ok for now, but the three points above are some mechanics in ASB that would be nice if you get familiar with them because if you dont, it could cause you to lose a match.

You did pretty well for this first match. One issues that you could of done was to torment the Komala a lot sooner, shutting it down to trying for hax or letting it struggle.

Another thing to llearn that a lot of asbers still today are learning are flavorful description techs in moves for example taunt, and again torment. Make sure if you're using a move look at it's description and look at all your opponent's moves description as well so you won't be surprised by any effects that might change the outcome of the round (some more examples are Barrier, Water Gun, Razor Wind and many many more)
