Nu alpha is getting created before BLT starts and probably Beta is even just done or still just in Beta

As you can see, there is a tie in the number of points between rafooa11 and Serene's Grace. To settle which one of them gets the 16th qualification spot, we've decided to implement a pseudo-Grand Slam tiebreaker format. Essentially, they would be playing BLT tiers (not including NU for now since it's not available) of OU, UU, RU, DOU, LC, Ubers, where each player gets to remove one tier from being played, either because they're weak at it or they know their opponent is good at it, followed by a best-of-three with the remaining 4 tiers available. The first tier to be played is picked by the one with more points accumulated in BLT tiers throughout the cycle, and the second and third (if necessary) tiers will be picked by the loser of the preceding game. For this tiebreaker, Serene's Grace got more points in BLT tiers, with 66 as compared to rafooa11's 54, so he'll be picking the first tier to be played. This may all sound confusing, so here's an example of how it'd go down:

  • Serene's Grace and rafooa11 would communicate and decide which tiers to remove; Serene's Grace picks DOU to not be played, while rafooa11 picks LC.
  • Serene's Grace had more BLT tiers, so he decides the first tier to be played; he picks UU.
  • Serene's Grace won game 1, so rafooa11 picks the second tier; he picks OU.
  • If Serene's Grace wins this as well, he wins the best-of-three and hence clinches the 16th qualification spot.
  • If rafooa11 wins game 2, Serene's Grace gets to pick the last tier to be played; he picks RU
  • The winner of game 3 wins the series.
  • This leaves Ubers neither being played nor removed.


The one that loses this tiebreaker will be relegated as a possible substitute to be drafted, but all substitutes are still free to qualify for other cycles as they see fit! The winner will have to post their win and join the qualified users in confirming their spots as stated below.

We ask the qualified users to confirm their spots in this thread along with their forum name. We have a one cycle deadline for each user to confirm their spot. This means that the users who clinched their spot this cycle have until April 30th to confirm their spot. Again, I'd like to emphasise sportsmanship when playing in tournament games. A lot of people are trying to qualify, so no sense in trash talking your opponent or anything of the like beyond friendly banter.

and remember if you didn't qualify you still have 3 cycles to good luck to you too n_n
