[BoR] Someoneelse vs AOPSUser

Look at my shiny CT!
Welcome, spectators, to Round 1 of the Best of the Rest tournament. Here in the red corner, Someoneelse (known to some as Alakazam), hailing from unknown origins. He made a bid for the Fire gym, but vanished shortly before the qualifiers. The result was that he was left with a pile of strong Fire-types, so-

-oh, he only has one Fire-type? Alrighty then. Pay special attention to TOMBSTONER (yes, all caps) the Mega Aggron. Its massive defense, combined with a superb defensive typing, Sturdy, and Filter, means that it can weather the onslaught of damage from the opposing Dragon Pokemon. Swampert and Pyroak also stand out as good backup, with high defensive stats.

...Aaaaand in the blue corner, we have AOPSUser, hailing from San Diego, California! He, as well, was an unsuccessful gym candidate, for two gyms: Dragon and Fighting. He lost to Birkal's Tomohawk in the Fighting qualifier, and he lost the Dragon one against Texas due to inactivity. Let's hope neither battler vanishes again!

Why does everyone use the same coin standing on its edge? Seriously, you'd think people would've learnt that that coin's a phony by now.

Today, you learn of the pure evil that is Mega Garchomp.

The match starts with both trainers staring each other down. AOPS ends up sending out Gimli the Garchomp with a Garchompite. Someoneelse retaliates with Flood the Swampert with a Rare Candy. Garchomp starts off by glowing a rainbow of colors, his fins and hands merging to become one, becoming scythes stained red with the blood of his previous opponents. He sprouts spikes all along his back, and his shoulder blades become more pronounced. The now-Mega Garchomp sends sand flying everywhere in a Sandstorm. Garchomp feel very at-home in harsh sandstorms such as this, being able to easily dodge attacks, especially from Pokemon unfamiliar to such harsh conditions. It appears that AOPS is relying on Garchomp's ability to dodge attacks. Flood is unintimidated by this display, and throws numerous pointed stones in every direction. Gimli easily dodges them, but they will surely be a pain later in the match.

Garchomp then slams into the ground, causing an eartquake, sending shock waves in every direction! Swampert takes significant damage, and retaliates with a beam of ice. The beam finds its way through the sand to strike Gimli for lots of damage, due to the nature of its Ground/Dragon typing. Angered, Gimli creates another earthquake, strengthened by the Garchomp's Sand Force. Flood manages to get in close, and strikes Gimli for more damage. But the spines all over the Garchomp's body have other ideas, and prick the Swampert for a good amount of damage.
