This week we're going to feature the new unbeatable Pokemon in OU: Volcanion. This team by bludz makes use of the Volcanion + Tyranitar core while also featuring Thundurus for Speed control and checking Water-types. Good luck and have fun!!

Tyranitar @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 156 HP / 252 Atk / 100 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Pursuit
- Superpower

Volcanion @ Choice Specs
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA
- Steam Eruption
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Sludge Wave

Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Recover

Landorus-Therian @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 228 Def / 24 SpD / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Smack Down

Scizor-Mega @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 48 Atk / 104 Def / 92 SpD / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Superpower

Thundurus @ Life Orb
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Knock Off

As stated, this team makes use of the Tyranitar + Volcanion core where Volcanion roasts Steel-types which check Tyranitar while the stone dinosaur Crunches or Pursuits most Pokemon which switches into Volcanion. Choice Band Tyranitar is chosen in this core to pressure more passive builds although Choice Scarf can also be utilised if you felt the need to check Gengar, Starmie and Mega Diancie better. 100 Spe EVs allows Tyranitar to be faster than Skarmory who runs some Speed creep.

Latias is chosen as the hazard remover because its bulk and reliable Recovery helps it to check Electrics, Volcanion, AV Tornadus-T and Keldeo better. Landorus-T is added for a Ground-immunity while also providing the ever-important Stealth Rock. The EVs allows it to survive a Latios Draco Meteor from full HP. Smack Down allows Landorus-T to lure Rotom-W and also pressure Skarmory.

Mega Scizor is added to the team to check Weavile who is looking increasingly dangerous for the team. It also helps out against Mega Diancie and Mega Gardevoir. Superpower is used on Mega Scizor to break Bisharp and hit Ferrothorn. Finally, Thundurus is added to take care of bulky Water-types and provides Thunder Wave.

Take note that the team is pretty weak to Weavile, Mega Diancie and Mega Gardevoir without Mega Scizor. It is also very difficult to deal with bulky Water-types, Magnezone and strong wallbreakers. Offensive Grass-types like Serperior and Breloom also does a lot to this team so be careful if you see those in Team Preview.

You can also try a variant of this team where
1) Scarf Ttar > Band Ttar, Tbolt Latios > Latias, SD Lando-T > U-Turn Lando-T, LO Torn-T > Thundurus

Terrakion+Serperior

Terrakion @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Rock Slide
- X-Scissor

Serperior @ Lum Berry
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power Fire
- Giga Drain

Like others have stated, this team has no rock resist. Therefore, scarf terrakion has no switch ins, the best being Scizor. Because there is no bug STAB on Scizor, Serperior can easily switch into scizor, start boosting, eat it's lum berry when Thundy uses twave, and sweep.

Mega Camel + Crawdaunt + Diancie

When looking over to the team, I realized that Mega Camerupt does some huge damage against this team as its STAB combo nearly OHKO's everything on the team after Stealth Rock by alternating between Fire Blast and Earth Power. Meanwhile, Crawdaunt simply eliminates everything else by clicking Crabhammer a couple times. Finally, Diancie, obviously sets up SR and Trick Room, allowing Daunt and Camel to rack up more KO's.

Camerupt @ Cameruptite
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 168 HP / 252 SpA / 88 Spe
Modest Nature
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Ancient Power
- Will-O-Wisp / Toxic

Crawdaunt @ Life Orb
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Def
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Crabhammer
- Knock Off
- Aqua Jet

Diancie @ Mental Herb
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Trick Room
- Stealth Rock
- Explosion
- Diamond Storm / Moonblast

Damn 8 votes and I still lost. I'm Never gonna win at my own thread >:{ . I blame Dr Ciel Random Passerby and Viridi for distracting me with fairies.... ROFL Congratulations matthewc20090 I beleive that puts you in the 2 nominee club. Starting to get rather full now. Infernal must getting lonely after reigning 10 straight weeks as the sole 3 Timer. Maybe this week someone will join her :)

Reserving Mega Diancie + Gyarados + Magnezone

Terrakion @ Choice Band
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Iron Head
- Quick Attack

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 152 Def / 108 SpD
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

This team does not know the meaning of a rock resist so a Terrakion will quickly teach it the error of its ways. Rotom-W switches into Lando-T and Scizor, and everything else evaporates.

No Weavile + Mega Manectric? I'm surprised :-P. (which means I'm stealing it now)

Weavile @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Low Kick

Manectric @ Manectite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power Ice

As stated in the Team Description, Weavile 5-0s this team if Mega Scizor is gone. Therefore, Mega Manectric is here to counter Mega Scizor while also being threatening to the core with its coverage of Electric+Ice+Fire. Furthermore, both of these mons either is faster than Prankster Thunder Wave or cannot be paralysed by Thundy-I.

welp manectric + weavile wins again

Mega Medicham + Weavile

So yeah, Mega Medicham is a pretty big problem to this team. It has literally no good switch ins on this team (your best bet is Latias and 252 Atk Pure Power Mega Medicham High Jump Kick vs. 72 HP / 0 Def Latias: 193-228 (60.5 - 71.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO and Thundurus doesn't count as a fighting resist). This Mega Scizor spread can't knock out Mega Medicham from full at +2 and takes a shitload in return
(+2 48 Atk Technician Mega Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Medicham: 217-256 (83.1 - 98%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Pure Power Mega Medicham High Jump Kick vs. 248 HP / 104+ Def Mega Scizor: 222-262 (64.7 - 76.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO)
Medicham destroys Volcanion, Tyranitar (since this Weavile lacks Low Kick), and Mega Scizor for Weavile, which are the only things preventing Weavile from going ham. In return, Weavile outspeeds Latias and Thundurus (Ice Shard outprioritizes TWave too so thats dank asf), and it blows back LandoT, too.

Medicham-Mega @ Medichamite
Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly / Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- High Jump Kick
- Zen Headbutt
- Bullet Punch / Ice Punch

Weavile @ Life Orb / Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Pursuit
- Ice Shard
- Icicle Crash

Life orb Mamoswine + Mega Manectric

Mamoswine @ Life Orb
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Icicle Crash
- Knock Off

Manectric-Mega @ Manectite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Overheat
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Mamoswine alone kind of 5-0s this team, except that he's setup bait for Scizor. So technically its Mamoswine + Bulky Mega Scizor check, but that's not fun. So I choose Manectric to assist Mamoswine in breaking this team, Mamoswine is a seriously underrated and unprepared for pokemon right now! However, with Manectric you're going to have to be careful with inviting Tyranitar and Latias in, as they can drop a draco/stone edge to ohko you (I think, whatever you're not doing anything back), so you can pair this core with Bisharp w/ Low kick to further handle this team, although that increases your ever present Mega Scizor weakness!

All around a solid core, don't sleep on Mamoswine

Subjugator

Banned deucer.

Manectric @ Manectite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Overheat
- Hidden Power Ice

Bisharp @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Swords Dance
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch

Mega Manectric has already been noted as one of the deadly sins to this team. However, it loses to Tyranitar due to Sand, and Latias doesn't particularly mind HP Ice. The solution? Bisharp. Bisharp can usually take on Tyranitar and deal heavy, heavy damage with Iron Head. Knock Off and Sucker Punch are going to make Latias go home crying. haha YES!

First, let me say this is a powerful team. I really enjoy using it on the ladder.

OK, now let's begin...

+

Gardevoir @ Gardevoirite
Ability: Trace
EVs: 16 HP / 8 Def / 232 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast
- Will-O-Wisp

Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power Fire
- Flash Cannon
- Thunderbolt

Mega Gardevoir beats Tyranitar, Landorus-T (after some prior damage) and Latios 1v1 and can burn Scizor on switch-in, though it still loses to it due to the lack of HP Fire. It can beat a non-boosted Thundurus but it doesn't appreciate getting T-Wave'd. It can also play mind games with trace against Volcanion (trace Water Absorb). If you simply add a scarfed Magnezone, it takes care of Gardevoir's Scizor weakness (Magnezone easily lives a burned Scizor's Superpower into Bullet Punch and traps it), Volcanion weakness by OHKOing it with T-Bolt after one rocks switch-in (talking about a max HP Volcanion. A non-invested one just gets OHKOs without even one rocks switch-in easily), same for Thundurus after rocks and one or two Life Orb hits. If Thundurus wants to beat it, it has to play mind games with Focus Blast on switch-in.

252 SpA Magnezone Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Volcanion: 320-380 (87.9 - 104.3%) -- 25% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Magnezone Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Thundurus: 178-210 (59.5 - 70.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Magnezone Hidden Power Fire vs. 248 HP / 92 SpD Mega Scizor: 240-284 (69.9 - 82.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after burn damage

48 Atk burned Mega Scizor Superpower vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Magnezone: 113-133 (40.2 - 47.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

232+ SpA Pixilate Gardevoir Hyper Voice vs. 248 HP / 24 SpD Landorus-T: 235-277 (61.6 - 72.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
232+ SpA Gardevoir Focus Blast vs. 100 HP / 0 SpD Tyranitar in Sand: 368-436 (100.5 - 119.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
232+ SpA Pixilate Gardevoir Hyper Voice vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Latios: 372-440 (124.4 - 147.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Revoked previous reservation cause it doesn't actually achieve what I had intended it to.

Manectric @ Manectite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Overheat / Flamethrower

Thundurus @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 68 Atk / 188 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Superpower
- Knock Off
- Grass Knot

Mixed Thundy beats Latias with KOff and can obtain an attack boost off of its Defogs if it predicts correctly, and after that elecspam just kinda overwhelms the opposing team. HP Ice Thundy does a bigger number on this team, but realistically speaking you will be running Grass Knot on elecspam to beat Hippo and those nasty Water-/Ground-types.

I will give my vote and reasoning. But not yet.

I don't want to start a trend of initial creators of these teams telling people what core breaks their team best and majorly influencing the outcome. I feel that would kind of compromise the integrity of the system of this thread. I'll wait til the voting period is close to over ( prob Sunday) for that reason. I do still think it's useful for the builder to speak about it because it's useful insight to everyone who participated
