If you're referring to us, we're not trying to spam. Me and SketchUp posted maybe within seconds of each other, and neither of us knew we were posting as a reply to your comment. That's what you call being ninja'd by someone. I guess he didn't realize that I made a post before him yet.
I think he meant "spammers" as Pokemon that spam a certain move - what you were saying before about teammates sharing the same checks (or similar), and wearing them down by "spamming".

There's no universal solution to that type of problem. You can pack Rhyperior for birdspam but ultimately it doesn't help with Rain (another type of "spam"). Best thing you can do is pack multiple checks for the biggest threats to your team. If tankchomp is your only check to a multitude of things then it's going to be taken out by Mega Lopunny and you'll be swept late game by Bisharp.

Since we discuss threats only one at a time in this thread, you don't need to concern yourself with a core of say Pinsir + Talonflame as a threat. Maybe I'll try to incorporate something like that down the line, but I'm not sure.

Heatran, Thundurus, Heracross have a perfect defensive synergy, Heatran help the genious and the insect against many poke, such as Charizard-y rarely used but always devasting , this also applies to Gengar, Latwins that would be enough shoot the Meteor for win. that's why is an excellent partner.

Set:

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 224 SpD / 36 Spe
Gentle Nature
- Stone Edge
- Stealth Rock
- Lava Plume
- Taunt
I already wrote about Heatran lol.

New week new core. I haven't done a core with Bisharp yet somehow so here we go.

Bisharp @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head

Lopunny @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Return
- High Jump Kick
- Power-Up Punch
- Encore

Pretty basic hyper offensive core. Both are capable of cleaning against offense while Bisharp is also a potent wallbreaker. Lopunny finds opportunities to mega evolve without fake out so I've opted for an Encore + PuP set which allows it to turn things like Hippowdon into setup fodder. These two pokemon share some checks such as Chesnaught, Hippowdon, Garchomp, etc... and can work together to overload them. Bisharp also threatens many of the fairy and psychic types that wall Lopunny.

Banned deucer.

Breloom @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Bullet Seed
- Mach Punch
- Spore
- Rock Tomb / Swords Dance

can't switch in to either mons very well, but easily OHKOs both of them with Mach Punch.

252 Atk Technician Breloom Mach Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Bisharp: 396-468 (146.1 - 172.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Life Orb Technician Breloom Mach Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Lopunny: 268-320 (98.8 - 118%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO

Reserve Smogonbird.

Talonflame
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Acrobatics
- Roost
- Swords Dance
- Will-O-Wisp

Bulky SD Talonflame heavily threatens this core. First, it shuts down Bisharp by either using Taunt to prevent it from setting up or Will-O-Wisp to wear it down in conjunction with Roost. Meanwhile, Acrobatics easily OHKO's Mega Lopunny without problem.

Don't let your memes be dreams

Chesnaught @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Leech Seed
- Drain Punch
- Spikes
- Spiky Shield

One of the few defensive answers to Mega Lopunny that doesn't cry when Lopunny reveals Encore + PuP. Chesnaught always survives 2 hits, and Drain Punch is an OHKO after the 2/6 residual damage from rocky helmet. Drain Punch recovers 36% of Chesnaughts health so even in the worst case scenario (switch in against HJK with rocks on the field) it has 44% of its health left. Bisharp also loses against Chesnaught, as even a +2 LO Iron Head fails to OHKO.

Keldeo-Resolute @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Icy Wind

Keldeo is an excellent answer to both Mega Lopunny and Bisharp, outspeeding and OHKOing both with Choice Scarf. It can take a hit from Mega Lopunny, and is a solid switch into Bisharp.

Terrakion @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Rock Slide
- Iron Head

Outspeeds both Pokemon with a Scarf and OHKOes with a Super Effective Close Combat. Can only switch in on Sucker Punch or Return because the other STAB moves are Super Effective against it. It also doesn't want to lose it's item to Knock Off.

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 60 Def / 200 SpD
Impish Nature
- Defog
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower

A rarer variant of the typical defog Mega Scizor, this mega is a very effective check to Mega Lopunny and Bisharp. While it is, unfortunately, 2HKOed by Mega Lopunny's High Jump Kick after Stealth Rock, outside of that, it fears nothing coming from the pair. Superpower straight up OHKOes Bisharp and has about a 70% chance of KOing Lopunny without prior damage. Furthermore, Scizor can switch into everything but High Jump Kick easily and Roost off the extra damage if a switch is predicted, making it a reliable, reusable answer.
0 Atk Mega Scizor Superpower vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Lopunny: 258-304 (95.2 - 112.1%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO
0 Atk Mega Scizor Superpower vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Bisharp: 492-580 (180.8 - 213.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+2 252+ Atk Bisharp Sucker Punch vs. 248 HP / 60+ Def Mega Scizor: 181-214 (52.7 - 62.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 Atk Mega Lopunny High Jump Kick vs. 248 HP / 60+ Def Mega Scizor: 144-169 (41.9 - 49.2%) -- 83.2% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

252 Atk Mega Lopunny Power-Up Punch vs. 248 HP / 60+ Def Mega Scizor: 45-54 (13.1 - 15.7%) -- possible 6HKO after Stealth Rock
+1 252 Atk Mega Lopunny High Jump Kick vs. 248 HP / 60+ Def Mega Scizor: 213-252 (62 - 73.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Impressively, even a PuP + HJK combo can't KO Mega Scizor; the only thing coming off of this duo that can destroy the metal bug from full Health is two High Jump Kicks. A Swords Dance or Defiant-Boosted Bisharp still hardly has a chance to dent him.

Charizard-Mega-X @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 248 HP / 100 Def / 160 Spe
Impish Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Dragon Claw
- Roost
- Flare Blitz

Switches directly into bisharp and can fire off a will-o-wisp or roost. Doesn’t switch into lopunny, but wins 1-on-1 if it’s decently healthy, and even a weakened charizard can burn lopunny and then switch out. Offensive teams tend to have very little to switch into this set in general, so once it’s in it’ll likely pose a major threat for the enemy’s whole team.

252 Atk Life Orb Bisharp Knock Off vs. 248 HP / 100+ Def Mega Charizard X: 103-122 (28.6 - 33.9%) -- 1.1% chance to 3HKO

252 Atk Mega Lopunny High Jump Kick vs. 248 HP / 100+ Def Mega Charizard X: 168-198 (46.7 - 55.1%) -- 66.4% chance to 2HKO
252 Atk burned Mega Lopunny High Jump Kick vs. 248 HP / 100+ Def Mega Charizard X: 84-99 (23.3 - 27.5%) -- 69.3% chance to 4HKO

Slowbro @ Slowbronite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Iron Defense
- Slack Off

Mega Slowbro counters Mega Lopunny completely, being able to switch into Return and High Jump Kick with ease. It also has Slack Off for reliable recovery. Against Bisharp, it can use Iron Defense to ward off Knock Off, even boosted Knock Off, and burn it with Scald.

+2 252 Atk Life Orb Bisharp Knock Off vs. 252 HP / 80+ Def Mega Slowbro: 281-330 (71.3 - 83.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Bisharp Sucker Punch vs. +2 252 HP / 80+ Def Mega Slowbro: 174-205 (44.1 - 52%) -- 10.9% chance to 2HKO
252 Atk Mega Lopunny Return vs. 252 HP / 80+ Def Mega Slowbro: 90-106 (22.8 - 26.9%) -- 38.5% chance to 4HKO

Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 236 SpD / 20 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch
- Knock Off / Poison Jab

Conkeldurr really doesn't like to be switching into any attack other than Bisharp's Sucker Punch or Lopunny's Encore. However, upon a safe switch-in, it is able to OHKO Bisharp with Mach Punch or Drain Punch, also surviving Lopunny's High Jump Kick to OHKO back with Drain Punch, recovering health in the process. It can also Mach Punch Lopunny to get a large chunk of damage off on it in a last-ditch scenario.

252+ Atk Conkeldurr Drain Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Lopunny: 300-354 (110.7 - 130.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Conkeldurr Mach Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Lopunny: 162-192 (59.7 - 70.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Conkeldurr Mach Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Bisharp: 304-360 (112.1 - 132.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Alakazam @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Taunt / Encore

Bisharp + Mega Lopunny struggles with many Fighting-types, such as Conkeldurr, Breloom, Terrakion, Keldeo, and opposing Mega Lopunny, as well as select other Pokemon such as Mega Slowbro and Mega Charizard X. Alakazam offers an answer to Fighting-types via its STAB Psychic, and also beats Mega Slowbro as it has Taunt to stop the use of Slack Off and Calm Mind, Encore to lock it into only one move, and Shadow Ball to 2HKO it. If Alakazam is chosen Talonflame and Mega Charizard X will need a more definite answer.

reserving slowbro

Slowbro @ Leftovers/Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Slack Off
- Thunder Wave
- Psyshock/Fire Blast/Ice Beam

The core is super weak to fighting types and zardx, so Slowbro is a perfect teammate. Slowbro can twave mons that threaten the core, burn physical attackers and slowbro with scald, and heal of the damage sustained in the process. The last slot on the set depends what you want to cover, psyshock for keld, fire blast for sciz, etc.

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Hidden Power Fire
- Roost

Latios helps to defeat Fighting-types such as Keldeo, Conkeldurr and Terrakion by OHKOing them with STAB Psyshock. Draco Meteor provides nuking power and coverage against Mega Charizard X and Slowbro while Hidden Power Fire allows Latios to KO Mega Scizor, which is a big threat to the core. Roost allows Latios to heal up and check Keldeo, Mega Charizard Y and other attackers better.

Victini @ Leftovers
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 248 HP / 132 Atk / 68 Def / 160 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Taunt / Glaciate
- V-create
- Will-O-Wisp
- Bolt Strike

Victini helps check many things that this core has trouble beating, including Mega Charizard Y, Mega Medicham, Landorus-T (by burning it or Glaciate), Mega Heracross, etc. A scarf set is also possible to beat Gyarados, Keldeo, and the like.

Serperior @ Miracle Seed
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Leaf Storm
- Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Taunt / Glare

Serperior removes the fat grounds and waters that bother Bisharp and Mega Lopunny like Hippowdon by spamming Leaf Storm in their face multiple times in a row with no remorse or sympathy for their gentle souls.

Azumarill @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 92 HP / 252 Atk / 164 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Knock Off

Bisharp and lopunny put enormous pressure on physical walls as it is, and azumarill doesnt need much prior damage to begin obliterating things after it gets off a belly drum.

Togekiss @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 4 def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Air Slash
- Dazzling Gleam
- Fire Blast
- Aura Sphere / Heal Bell

Scarf Togekiss could be cool because it hard walls Garchomp, which is the best offensive check to both of those. In addition, flying-stab is amazing in the meta right now, and Togekiss covers there fighting weakness. 252 Speed ties +1 Altaria, and Heal Bell deserves a slash because Tyranitar is doing nothing vs Lopunny and Bisharp. Also, Klefki and Thundurus are consistent Mega Lopunny checks with Thunder Wave so you can kill those as they sac themselves to para you, then Heal Bell up :)

Tornadus-Therian @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 76 Atk / 216 SpA / 216 Spe
Naive Nature
- Hurricane
- Superpower
- U-turn
- Knock Off/Taunt
Tornadus-T is a great partner (and decent check but missed that mark) to this core. Outspeeding and OHKO'ing pretty much every fighting type that wants to kill the core. He also can also run taunt for burn users or can run knock off and having knock off pressure from 2 mons can be pretty devastating.

Gengar @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave
- Focus Blast
- Taunt

Gengar is an excellent stall-breaker and compliments them both well by beating things like Hippo and Skarm that are safe switch-ins to the pair. Gengar is also immune to fighting and ground which means that they arent too pressured defensively.

Alright new week new core time. I came up with this core last night and I have spent 0 seconds trying to build with it or play with it so I really don't know how good it is. Let's analyze it :)

Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 56 HP / 220 Atk / 232 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Rock Polish
- Swords Dance

Raikou @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Calm Mind
- Substitute

Basic premise was setup sweepers who helped each other. Raikou threatens & sets up against bulky waters while also checking other electrics (which often carry ice type coverage) for Lando. Lando checks other ground types for Raikou and lures and weakens stuff like Hippowdon while also being able to sweep teams late game. Both pokemon can have good matchups against offense and defensive playstyles alike.

Discuss threats.
