Talonflame @ Sharp Beak
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird / Acrobatics
- Flare Blitz
- Swords Dance
- Roost

Hates clef's t-wave, as pretty much every other mon that deals with this core, but with priority brave bird it isn't as bad; and most importantly, talon still wins vs this core regardless of it being paralyzed. Anyway, talon sets up on both of these mons as neither of them do anything. It can avoid the t-wave if it sets up on glisor first, as a +2 Brave Bird OKHO's after rocks.

Calcs:
252 Atk Sharp Beak Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 244 HP / 0 Def Gliscor: 142-168 (40.3 - 47.7%) -- 96.2% chance to 3HKO after Poison Heal

0 Atk Gliscor Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 120 HP / 0 Def Talonflame: 89-105 (27.2 - 32.1%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

252 Atk Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 160 Def Clefable: 153-180 (38.8 - 45.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

0 SpA Clefable Moonblast vs. 120 HP / 0 SpD Talonflame: 66-78 (20.1 - 23.8%) -- guaranteed 5HKO

I feel that SP.def Bulk up flame is even better in this case, especially the taunt build.

Yeah that set it probs better, I preferred SD Roost just because of the utility it has vs. offense particularly but really any set can be used based on what you need help with, i.e SD for offense, Bulk up for stall/balance, Taunt + Will-O-Wisp is good support for setup sweepers etc., and it is also good against stall.

Nidoqueen (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Sludge Wave
- Earth Power
- Ice Beam
- Fire Blast

Able to HKO both members in the core, immune to T-wave and faster than Gliscor and for w/e reason Gliscor is faster than Nidoqueen, this is bulky enough to take 1 EQ without investment . Also able to break balance builds. You better go Modest
252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoqueen Ice Beam vs. 244 HP / 192+ SpD Gliscor: 426-504 (121 - 143.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
0 Atk Gliscor Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Nidoqueen: 234-276 (72.6 - 85.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoqueen Sludge Wave vs. 252 HP / 96+ SpD Clefable: 330-390 (83.7 - 98.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Slowbro @ Slowbronite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 32 Def / 224 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Slack Off
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Psyshock

TWave sucks but unless you get paralyzed 3/4 times in a row you can switch in and set up against Clefable and kill it with Psyshock (2hko at +2, ohko at +5) Even when Clefable manages to get at +2 against +0 Slowbro, Moonblast is not a guaranteed 2hko and once Slowbro sets up a CM, it wins. Worst case scenario against Gliscor is when it switches in against SD and loses 60% of its health.

Nidoking (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Sludge Wave
- Earth Power
- Ice Beam
- Fire Blast

Able to HKO both members in the core, immune to T-wave and faster than Gliscor and for w/e reason Gliscor is faster than Nidoking, this is bulky enough to take 1 EQ without investment . Also able to break balance builds. Sludge wave on clef is a roll still but clef cant do nothing in return even +2 spedef clef is 2hko by Modest Nidoking, and +1 is 2hko by Timid Nidoking
252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking Ice Beam vs. 244 HP / 192+ SpD Gliscor: 458-541 (130.1 - 153.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
0 Atk Gliscor Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Nidoking: 254-302 (83.8 - 99.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking Sludge Wave vs. 252 HP / 96+ SpD Clefable: 354-421 (89.8 - 106.8%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO
Er, wasn't this already done by Void?

Mamoswine @ Life Orb
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Knock Off

Mamoswine can switch into both gliscor and clefable and throw out a STAB move for a 2hko on either one. Knock off makes it much better at threatening common balance builds with stuff like Skarmory, Slowbro, and Clefable (if it gets its own item knocked off).

252 Atk Life Orb Mamoswine Icicle Crash vs. 244 HP / 0 Def Gliscor: 598-707 (169.8 - 200.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Life Orb Mamoswine Icicle Crash vs. 252 HP / 172 Def Clefable: 188-224 (47.7 - 56.8%) -- 37.1% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Life Orb Mamoswine Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 172 Def Clefable: 224-265 (56.8 - 67.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

if it switches into knock off:
252 Atk Mamoswine Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 172 Def Clefable: 172-204 (43.6 - 51.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Nominating Weavile as a threat to this core.

Weavile @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Jolly Nature
-Poison Jab
-Icicle Crash
-Ice Shard
-Knock Off

With the ability to 2HKO Clefable with Poison Jab, neither can realistically switch into Weavile. Gliscor especially cannot switch in because it does not want to have its Toxic Orb Knocked off.

Sometimes in life you need a sledgehammer.

Staraptor @ Choice Band
Ability: Reckless
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Double-Edge
- Close Combat
- U-turn

252+ Atk Choice Band Reckless Staraptor Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 172 Def Clefable: 382-451 (96.9 - 114.4%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Reckless Staraptor Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 8 Def Gliscor: 300-354 (84.7 - 100%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Given Stealth Rock and a way to avoid switching in to Knock Off or Thunder Wave, Staraptor can outspeed and have a decent chance to OHKO both members of this core.

Pinsir-Mega @ Pinsirite
Ability: Aerilate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Jolly Nature
-Swords Dance
-Return
-Quick Attack
-Close Combat

Waited till the last day for someone else to post this but w/e. Mega Pinsir can't set up on Clefable due to T-Wave, but it can set up an SD on Gliscor even if it's at +6 (provided rocks aren't up) and then outspeed and OHKO both members of the core with +2 Return.

+6 0 Atk Gliscor Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Pinsir: 153-180 (56.4 - 66.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+2 252 Atk Aerilate Mega Pinsir Return vs. 244 HP / 8 Def Gliscor: 406-478 (115.3 - 135.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252 Atk Aerilate Mega Pinsir Return vs. 252 HP / 172 Def Clefable: 519-612 (131.7 - 155.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Iɴғιɴιтy (Lαтιoѕ) @ Lιғe Orв

IVѕ: 29 HP

- Pѕyѕнocĸ
- Hιddeɴ Power [Fιre] / Sнαdow Bαll

Latios is a good partner for Clefable + Gliscor for multiple reasons - the first and foremost is that it provides good defensive utility in its ability to check the likes of Manaphy, Mega Charizard Y, Suicune, Nidoking, Starmie, Mega Medicham, Kyurem-B, and Slowbro. It also has Hidden Power Fire to hit Mega Metagross and Mega Scizor with, big threats to the core, or Shadow Ball if you prefer a harder hit on Mega Metagross. Latios can also use Defog to ensure that entry hazards don't pressure Gliscor too much when it needs to check the likes of Gengar. In return, Latios appreciates Clefable's ability to deal with Thundurus and Weavile, and Gliscor's ability to deal with Gengar and Clefable.

Could use Latias if Healing Wish support is preferable, but you lose out on the extra coverage option.

Slowbro @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 SpD
Impish Nature
- Scald
- Slack Off
- Thunder Wave
- Psyshock

The core is weak to Water-types like Keldeo, Steel-types like Mega Metagross and strong physical attackers like Talonflame in general. Slowbro is able to handle most of these pretty well, thus being a pretty good partner for the core. It can also paralyze Pokemon, enabling Clefable and Gliscor to set up on them more easily.

Reserving Heatran.

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 192 SpD / 68 Spe
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Toxic
- Stone Edge
- Stealth Rock

This core is insanely weak to powerful fire types such as Mega Charizard-Y and Talonflame, so naturally, Heatran is a good partner. Heatran can use Stone Edge to KO both Chary-Y and Talon quite easily. In return, Clefable deals with Keldeo nicely and Gliscor can check the likes of Landorus-T.

Tyranitar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit
- Crunch
- Fire Blast / Superpower

Tyranitar revenge kills (and can potentially Pursuit trap) troublesome foes such as Thundurus, Talonflame, Mega Metagross and Gengar for the core. It can also lure and heavily dent Mega Scizor with Fire Blast. However, Superpower is viable to get a stronger hit against Bisharp and Mamoswine.

SketchUp

Don't let your memes be dreams
This core lacks defensive type synergy (they don't resist each others weaknesses bar Poison) which leads to a weakness to strong ice, water and steel attacks as well as pokemon that can take advantage of the low offensive presence of both pokemon (CM Mega Slowbro, SD Mega Scizor, NP Togekiss)

Manectric @ Manectite
Ability: Lightningrod
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Overheat
- Hidden Power Ice

Mega Manectric makes this core a bit less boring than it is right now, while at the same time it helps checking many threats such as Mega Metagross, Mega Scizor, Talonflame and bulky waters. The speed tier is really nice because this core is weak to strong wallbreakers they fail to outspeed, such as Gengar and Charizard-Y. The coverage moves of Mega Manectric helps him get past almost any threat to this core, while pokemon like Latios, Raikou and Heatran are taken care of by either Clefable or Gliscor. There are still some pokemon that can easily break this core because Manectric doesn't provide that much defensive synergy outside of Intimidate. Kyurem-B, Mega Venusaur and Charizard-X are some pokemon you need to stay aware of after adding Manectric to this core.

Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Hidden Power Fire / Healing Wish
- Roost / Healing Wish

Latias easily switches into Charizard, Keldeo and Manaphy while also having reliable recovery in Roost. Hidden Power Fire allows Latias to lure Scizor and damage Metagross if they switch in carelessly. Healing Wish can be used if its utility is more important to the team.

Venusaur @ Venusaurite
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 248 HP / 96 Def / 144 SpD / 20 Spe
Bold Nature
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Synthesis
- Hidden Power Fire

Deals well with a bunch of threats to this core such as Keldeo, Thundurus, Manaphy (unless Psychic) and Azumarill. HP Fire helps it fare a bit better against Scizor as well. The defensive spread helps it check the aforementioned mons better, but the offensive spread works too if you want something that hits harder.

Hey guys, I know I've been slacking on updating the top 3 partners for a few weeks now. I should catch up in a day or two. Anyway new core for the week:

Kyurem-Black @ Life Orb
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 20 Atk / 252 SpA / 236 Spe
Mild Nature
- Ice Beam
- Fusion Bolt
- Earth Power
- Roost

Victini @ Choice Band
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spe
Adamant Nature
- V-Create
- Bolt Strike
- U-turn
- Trick

Wallbreaker core; each member breaks the other's checks. Good cores post

Discuss threats

Banned deucer.

Tyranitar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Crunch
- Pursuit
- Superpower
- Stone Edge

Tyranitar struggles to switch in on the core due to the threat of Kyurems Earth Power and Victini can just U-turn on the switch but if Tyranitar can get in for free it can handle both Pokemon in the core pretty easily as Pursuit easily traps Victini and Stone Edge OHKOs KyuB

252 Atk Tyranitar Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Kyurem-B: 372-440 (95.1 - 112.5%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Tyranitar Crunch vs. 40 HP / 0 Def Victini: 270-318 (76.9 - 90.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

SketchUp

Don't let your memes be dreams

Rain offense easily breaks this core as every pokemon is able to outspeed both Kyurem-B and Victini. Victini is OHKOd by all pokemon and Kyurem-B loses to all pokemon 1v1, though it can take a few hits such as a EQ from Swampert and a Focus Blast from Ludicolo. Especially Kingdra is a big threat as it can counter Victini when rain is up and OHKO both Victini and Kyurem-B with Hydro Pump and Draco Meteor respectively.

Garchomp @ Focus Sash
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Swords Dance

Offensive SR chomp is pretty rare nowadays but it is a threat for this core. Chomper out speeds both and threatens with STABs. Also lays rocks which take 25% from kyube and vicky.
It can switch into some some victinis moves and kyube fusion bolt.

Terrakion @ Lum Berry
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Swords Dance

Terrakion outspeeds and OHKOes both members with its STAB moves. It can also set up Stealth Rock to inflict 25% off their max HP each time they switch in. However, Terrakion doesn't like switching into their attacks.

Tyranitar @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock/Crunch

Unless Kyurem-Black is a physical scarfer or manages to get Iron Head flinch hax, a simple DD Ttar can beat both of the members of this core.
