With a solid lead in votes, Team 7 by finally takes the week! Nice!
This week, it's...
Mega Swampert. Gains fam. This guy is one of the more forgotten Swift Swim attackers, usually left in the shadows of Ludicolo and Kingdra. Still, it's a p strong attacker in its own right, and it can simply blast Landorus-T that might want to try to Intimidate it. Being immune to Thunder Wave is also a boon. Build it, bros.
Nifty sprite converter: http://fulllifegamer.bplaced.net/format.php - Just put in your importable and you'll get sprites. I'd prefer it if you guys set it to "sprites" to save me some important seconds, and name the hide tags as "Importable" and "Description" thanks :)!
The first thing I wanted to try out was manual rain, since Politoed is infamously deadweight. Tornadus fit more or less perfectly, since it allowed a safe partner for Pert to Earthquake next to, provided Prankster Rain Dance, and nukes Amoonguss and other Grass-types, which Pert appreciates. A Steel-type was in order next, and decided to go Aegislash, mainly because I thought Ferrothorn was a bit too passive, and figured I would be able to fill in its job among the rest of the team. Wide Guard > Sub so Pert can EQ next to it, sub could also work to help vs. Trick Room though. Virizion acts as my Spore immunity, my answer to Amoon + Azu, and yet another way to deal with KyuB, which Rain has a notoriously hard time dealing with. (Well, it can outspeed and nuke it with CC, but it doesn't like taking an Ice Beam.) It's also a nice check to Kangaskhan, and acts as a nice Ground resist for my team. At this point, I was looking for another manual rain setter, but found that Politoed patched my weaknesses perfectly and that I needed a Kang switch-in, so decided to opt for Toed. Encore might be better over Helping Hand to beat Kang better, but I don't like how it makes Politoed even more deadweight. Bisharp helps deter Intimidates from M-Pert, pressures Trick Room, gives me priority, gives KyuB an even harder time against the team, and acts as another hard hitter for my team in general. Switching in to Icy Wind helps, and it leaves my team's resistances perfect bar one extra Fire weakness, but hey this is rain, I can afford that.
For reference:
• 2 Kangaskhan switchins OR 1 switchin and 1 check
Virizion + Politoed
• 1 Landorus-T switchin
Bisharp
• 2 ground immunities OR 1 ground immunity and 1 resist
Tornadus + Virizion
• 2 Fire resists (Char Y + Venu check)
Swampert + Politoed (rain in general helps with the matchup)
• 2 Water resists (Ludicolo + Politoed check)
Virizion + Politoed (+ Swampert)
• 1 check to spread rock users (diancie/landorus/terrakion)
This is Rain...
• 1 fairy resist (preferably resists Psychic as well)
Aegislash
• 1 sleep immunity
Virizion
• At most one kyurem-b sub bait (two if you have hyper voice)
I'm p sure I only have one, not sure on this though. Team fares well vs. kyub though
• 1 check for each of these steels (Aegislash/Ferrothorn/Heatran)
Bisharp; Tornadus + Virizion; Swampert + tornadus + Virizion + Politoed
• 2 of speed control/priority/scarf
Politoed + Rain
• 2 different forms of Trick Room check (Taunt/Spore/TR user/Strong Dark or Ghost/Fake Out/Substitute Steel/Strong Priority)
Virizion + Bisharp
• 1 CM Cress check
Bisharp
• 1 spread
Swampert
• 1 check to Azumarill + Amoonguss
Virizion (EDIT: I'm dumb, was thinking about Goggles too much and thought Virizion could ignore Rage Powder. I guess it still works, Taunt the azu turn 1 + attack it turn 2, if amoon powders it gets taunted and can't use it turn 2, leaving azu open to attack. At that point I'm p sure I can chip it down from there
so this is so standard, i found it's 5/6 same as kyle's team in the rain frameworks. it has slight differences tho, but that's generally rain i suppose. swampert mega is the mega of the week. it has a nice attack, good doublable base 70 speed. standard move set. politoad is my rain setter, but physically defensive with counter. why? because i noticed kangaskhan and friends like to use moves like return, close combat, i could retaliate with more than a 30% chance to burn (even if it's more like 90%). helping hand cuz its a close move to hold hands :P bulky thunderus is a good setter and spams thunder. taunt helps a lot , even vs amongus that'll spread it's funginess. ludicolo is a good fake out under rain pokemon, and it's coverage is simply destructive. talonflame is the bulky grass lawn mower and aegislash has sub since it eats heatwaves and eartpowers like a boss, gets weakness policy, and sits behind a sub, while partner does work

This is a offensive rain team that doesn't only rely on rain I guess. I am using the standard Mega-Pert which outspeeds Scarf Landorus-T. This Swampert is also using Ice Punch because I lacked some great ways to hit dragons. I am using standard bulky Toed as the rain setter with Damp Rock to support Swampert. After this pokemon like Abomasnow and Latios were still threats so i added Aegislash to help them and with Substitute it helps beat Trick Room. Talonflame gets rid of any grass types that threaten Swampert and it has Tailwind because Breloom like it. Breloom can beat bulky waters which the rest of the team can't very well and has a speedy Spore under Tailwind. Lastly Hydreigon was added to help with opposing Aegislash and Psychic types.
LOL THIS TEAM
yeah so I wanted to use regular diancie because why the fuck not and so I went for Azumarill and Serp since they're such good mons or something, which lead me to want a really dickish mon like Tornadus and then I slapped on Politoed and Swampert so that I could have Rain boosted +6 Aqua Jets for whatever reason. I have won 6/8 games played with it so i guess it might be cool \o/
Diancie helps keep rocks up for the obvious talon and zard weaknesses and toed stops zard from using solar beam on Diancie. Diancie is a fucker and can apparently live rain boosted gyarados waterfall or something so don't let it get wins.
Serperior deals damnage. literally.
Azumarill gives a good wincon and deals lots of damage with attacks and stuff.
Tornadus provides tailwind for my obvious full tailwind team and can hit hurricanes and focus blasts and stuff (it cant actually hit the focus blasts i'm just being nice).
Politoed keeps damp rocks up and gives rain. It can provide alternative speed control with icy wind and can give something like tornadus a helping hand.
Swampert's a hoenn starter and it's oras so you can't say it's bad.

soooooo
here's my sick mega-swampert team that I happened to build yesterday because someone told me to build psychic politoed
i like politoed because choice specs can just rip through most things that does not resist hydro pump, also I guess psychic wasn't a bad idea because you beat virizion(?) + keldeo + all other fighting types as well as poison types such as tentacruel in case you have to fight n1n1.
ice beam is more safe than hydro pump i guess
i know that scald would probably be better in this case but I don't mind risking it with hydro and focus blast is generally decent coverage BECAUSE you beat ferrothorn now with focus blast or something? ok lol
so i originally had substitute ferro here because i thought ayy that would be fun and difficult to break but in reality you just really want the grass coverage as well
252/252 is not the best spread but many damages ok
this talonflame is just your regular talonflame, i didn't feel the need for taunt or qg so i just kinda went will-o again to just fuck up ferro's shit as well as megagross/kanga even though those aren't massive problems
mega-swampert is what we had to build, i guess this is kinda a fun set idk i've never really used megaswamp before lol
basic thundurus
op scrafty
lives keldeo secret sword + deals many damages
knock off fucks aegislash and cress and is necessary
fake out is good because fake out
high jump kick is good because you can actually kill kanga!!!!
and now you'd say oh why would you not have assault vest if you have 4 attacks WELL because without life orb you don't kill kanga with hjk unless you're 252+ and if you're 252+ you can't live keldeo ss so this is the best of both worlds also stone edge gets rid of charizard-y which is a strong pokemon????
the spread lives keldeo secret sword and kill kanga with hjk also maaaad outspeeds because now you outspeed tyranitar and other scrafties
thank
psa; loses to brightpowder aegislash so must be bad
I still like bulky support toed but I guess thats just me???? Then I add standard swamp w/ superpower for fighting coverage. Next I add talon with tailwind for speed control and to beat grass types. Next I add Garchomp (sorry Kyle) cause its a cash dragon. The spread OHKOs 108 hp kyurem black while outspeeding max speed neutral natured kyube, with the rest in attack. S C A R Y F A C E for speed control. Then I add sub aegislash to help against the trick room teams and bc its a solid af steel type. Next I add reflect Sylveon bc I thought it would be a cool 3rd move. Good team better than qsns and kyle rain confirmt

Started with required core Politoed + Swampert.
Added Ferro because I wanted to use him and he's a bitch in Rain.
Then added Tornadus because 1. I wanted to and 2. It makes for a cool grass killer with his good speed. He also hits decently hard with Specs and is great Kang bait with Focus Blast, Dark Pulse for coverage and Hidden Power Steel to bait Diancie.
EEL
Lastly I added Conkeldurr because he beats Kyurem-Black which would be a bitch and he provided Wide Guard which is cool. Running this weird set because I didn't want AVest (Wide Guard hello) and I needed a sleep switch-in not Ferrothorn. Conkeldurr also does the job of beating Kangaskhan which is cool.

This team has safety goggles, lando check, wisp for kang, thundy check, easy to get tr up, beats rain, sun, hail, diancie. its really good
i hate rain tbh, but its not like im gonna use mega pert without rain. n e ways, the team is alright i guess. i went with bulky>offensive on thundy cuz i felt pretty good against diancie.

This team is pretty fun to play, and it's manual rain, so that's cool. I find Politoed to be kinda useless in lots of matchups, so I liked the idea of making a manual rain team. Bulky Thund is a useful rain setter, and twave is always nice. I have Swampert and Ludicolo as my rain attackers. And here's where it gets a bit weird. I have Cobalion as a Steel-type on rain, which is good for the synergy, and also as a way to hit cube and ferro with CC. I also have Stone Edge for zard and, to a lesser extent, Talonflame, which Quick Guard helps against. Talonflame is just good on rain, helping with things like Amoonguss. I used TW because its really not expected on a rain team, and Swampert and Ludicolo become a lot more threatening. Also, I haven't found Taunt or Will-O-Wisp that useful. Then we have Aerodactyl, which checks zard and also talon with Rock Slide. It's my secondary Rain Dance setter, and Wide Guard is helpful against stuff like Lando-t. I also use protect here. Sky Drop isn't too strong, but it's actually really useful because aero is so fast, so it lets me hold up a threat while I set up Rain Dance or get off a safe mega with swampert. It can also disable a redirection user while they are in the air, which can be handy.
