Email problem

I realize this probably does not warrant its own thread, but I have found no general help thread for this or anything about what to do when this happens. Also, I don't know who is a moderator, so...

My brother has tried to sign up for a Smogon account, but the email that was supposed to be sent to verify his account never arrived. Thus, he is unable to post and I am doing it for him. It is not a hotmail account, and it has been a few days since he signed up. We checked to see if the email was spelled correctly, and reset the email address to see if it would send it. Still no email.
Looking for any suggestions or a link to a help thread or post related to this. Thank you.

sign up for hotmail and verify it with that

hotmail and yahoo apparently filter out our activation e-mails. i think it works with gmail though.
