This looks really good, the only thing I'd personally add is toxicroak to team options as despite the shared ground weakness they have excellent offensive synergy and beat up each other's checks and counters.

(Doom hates fairies like Azu / mega altaria, ttar and conk while toxicroak puts pressure on all of them, etc)

Edit: croak provides an excellent Keldeo check which is important !_!

The title is kinda confusing to me, you have it in copyediting but normally the 3rd check is after the write up is compete, small mistake on Ben gays part. Also it says 0/3 but you got 2 (kinda 3) QC checks :o
Try and sort that out I guess :x

A mostly forgotten (unnecessary change, but seeing as you're writing about it..) Mega Evolution, Mega Houndoom brings a huge amoun excellent of utility on toPokemon that can be used in just about any role, checking dangerous threats such as Bisharp, Mega Sableye, and Latios. In addition to this, it has favorable match ups against opposing Pokemon in the current metagame; againstcommon switch-ins used by offensive teams, common switch-ins likeuch as Tyranitar and Azumarill are cripplesd by Will-O-Wisp, while stall teams will have trouble against Taunt. ItMega Houndoom's access to Nasty Plot compounded byas well as its high speed allows it to sweep teams. Mega Houndoom, however, has a nasty Stealth Rock weakness, and can be easily forced out by threats such as Keldeo, Heatran, Rotom-W, Tornadus-T, and prominent Mega Evolved opponents such as Lopunny and Altaria. Flaws aside, its ability to bringrole as a bunch of utility, Pokemon and completely wreckhigh balanced buildstats makes it a solid choice to build your team around.

move 4: Will-O-Wisp / Taunt

evs: 40 HP / 8 Def / 208 SpA / 252 Spe

Moves

Nasty Plot allows Mega Houndoom to sweep teams with ease when its checks and counters are removed, and it can set up easily, due to its great typing allowing it to force out Ferrothorn, Skarmory, Mew, Mega Sableye, and Slowbro. Fire Blast and Dark Pulse are great STAB moves that have good neutral coverage. Will-O-Wisp is useful against offensive teams and can cripple common switch -ins such as Azumarill, Tyranitar, Terrakion, and Garchomp. It also provides you a great check to Bisharp. Taunt can be used for stallbreaking, but itMega Houndoom will misslose the utility that Will-O-Wisp has. Hidden Power [Grass] and Sludge Bomb are options for hitting Pokemon that wall Mega Houndoom's coverage such as Azumarill, Keldeo, Terrakion, Tyranitar, Togekiss, and Mega Altaria, but Will-O-Wisp usually cripples most of these, and its utility will be missed, along with Taunt. Sunny Day can be used to abuse Solar Power, bringraising the power of Mega Houndoom's Fire Blast off the charts, but it wornears down easilyMega Houndoom, and Solarbeam can be easily be played around with Tyranitar or Politoed, for example.

Set Details
========

The following EV spread given allow ys Mega Houndoom to take 3 sSeismic tTosses from Chansey 3 times and live Choice Band Talonflame's Brave Bird. Flash Fire allows yMega Houndoom to come in on Fire-type moves such as Volcarona's Fire Blast, Mega Charizard Y's Flamethrower, and Heatran's Lava Plume. In Mega Charizard Y's case, a boost can be very clutchrucial because itMega Houndoom gets a Solar Power boost, meaning, Mega Houndoom can do a huge amount of damage, while Tyranitar, a common teammate for Mega Charizard Y, canwill be neutered by Will-O-Wisp. (not exactly sure if the changes I made reflected what you meant, if they didn't ignore because I was kind of confused on this one)

Usage Tips
========

Offensive teams will have trouble against Mega Houndoom, so using Will-O-Wisp to target predicted switch -ins is vital to its success. Stall teams have trouble against the Taunt variant, so using double switches to wear down Chansey with Stealth Rock, and then preventing it from healing later in the match with Taunt and using repeated Nasty Plots should do the job, allowing yMega Houndoom roast the archetypeit.

Team Options
========

Gengar and Latios are amazing teammates towhen paired with Houndoom. They appreciate Tyranitar being burned, so they cannot be reliably Pursuit trapped, allowing them to wrecak havoc with Shadow Ball and Draco Meteor, respectively. Earthquake Latios gets a special mention for eliminating Heatran, a check to Mega Houndoom. Gyarados has excellent synergy with Mega Houndoom, and sets up on a bunch of thingsPokemon Mega Houndoom can burn such as Tyranitar in compoundnjunction with Intimidate. Mega Houndoom also forces out Ferrothorn, somethinga Pokemon that walls Gyarados. Starmie, Excadrill, Latias, and Latios remove hazards and sharve nice synergy with Mega Houndoom as well.

Other Options
########

Sucker Punch is Houndoom's only option for priority and can mitigate issues against opposing priority and Choice Scarf users. However, it is quite weak without Attack investment. Will-O-Wisp screws with some switch-ins, most parominenticularly Tyranitar, Hippowdon, Azumarill, and Terrakion, but it is contrary to Houndoom's fast and hard-hitting nature. Destiny Bond is a viable alternative in the last slot, but the utility provided by Taunt and the coverage given by Hidden Power [Grass] is usually superior. Sunny Day remains an excellent option for punishing Tyranitar, Hippowdon, and Azumarill. The latter's Aqua Jet will also be weakened, meaning that Mega Houndoom can avoid being revenge killed. Another notable feature is the 2HKO on Chansey with only 2 switch ins into Stealth Rock allowing it to finish off stall teams much faster. However, Houndoom will have little wayfew methods of breaking past Heatran and stacked up Solar Power damage will wear Houndoom out fast, meaning even the resisted priority moves such as Bullet Punch will finish it off after a couple of turns. Finally, Sludge Bomb is an option to hit Mega Altaria and AV Azumarill harder, but Mega Houndoom needs Taunt or Will-O-Wisp to be effective.

Checks & Counters
########

**Revenge Killers**: Choice Scarf Garchomp, Choice Scarf Keldeo, Mega Aerodactyl, Excadrill, and Terrakion make easy offensive checks or counters, depending on the field condition. Strong priority users such as Breloom, Talonflame, and Conkeldurr are also good checks or counters. Thundurus-I can paralyze itMega Houndoom, thereby making it no longer a threat. Also, Pokemon that naturally outspeed Mega Houndoom and can hit it super effectively, such as Greninja, make good checks as well.

**Tyranitar**: Tyranitar replaces sun with sand, due to its ability Sand Stream, resists Mega Houndoom's dual STAB, and has the bulk to take anything else while retaliating with Stone Edge; it really only fears Destiny Bond. Tyranitar is thus Houndoom's besan excellent counter to Mega Houndoom. Tyraintar can still be eliminated by a combination of Sunny Day and Solarbeam, so be aware. Will-O-Wisp can also be problematic.

**Chansey**: This blobPokemon sponges anything from Mega Houndoom if it's not using Taunted, but if it is, the opposing team can wear it down rather easily. Also, be aware that Chansey is 2HKOed by Fire Blast in Sun with prior damage.

**Conkeldurr**: It can take hits easily and abuses its Will-O-Wisp. It is Mega Houndoom's besanother great counter to Mega Houndoom. (above you already said Tyranitar was Mega Houndoom's best counter)

**Azumarill**: The Assault Vest set is the best counter to itMega Houndoom, and it can even tank a Solarbeam in Sun and retaliate with Play Rough. Azumarill even has Aqua Jet to take itMega Houndoom out before it can even use an attack. Just like Tyranitar, it needs to be careful of Will-O-Wisp, however.

Vertex you want to mention some bulky water types along with M-Diancie in checks and counters. Azumarill can fall under the bulky water types.
