gs=pokemon gold/silver, which are my personal favorite games in the series. Well, crystal is fun to, but I made the nick before owning a copy.
I own 5 copies of 2nd gen games, and when I made this username for a small forum a few years back, I was in the middle of a playthrough of my second silver version. Umbreon was my highest lvl pokemon in that file. So gsumbreon it is.

My old username was based off my older brother's old GameFAQs account his name in high school was Chris and his real name is Omar so he went the lazy route and just went with Chrisomar. My current username is based off of a japanese pro wrestler named KENTA, not CM Punk even though I like Punk as well.
I thought this is more cong material. Plus does anyone actually read these?

My girlfriend likes to use a little black sheep as her avatar or user name, and she loathes Pokemon with every ounce of her being, in fact she hates any video game. So when I started up my diamond game way back when, I used sheep as my trainer name to annoy her. I was gonna use sheep again, but smogon doesn't like hotmail accounts, and so...

In the Philippines, I received a text message from my aunt. It was pretty much a chain letter. It contained made up "Japanese" substitutes for each letter of the alphabet.
My name is Jim and it translated to zu-ki-rin so I kept it =3
Also go by Zuchini (I know it's spelled wrong) for the lulz, and Remote_Perception, which came from the lyrics of my favorite anime Code Geass.

Insipired by the greatest anime D.Gray Man, and the character within Arystar Krory III, after finding out I have the same name as the anime, it was pretty sweet.
Hence, legend of Krory.

Mine has a bit of a story behind it so bear with me:
In year 5 of school, many days I would eat a salami & cream cheese sandwich for lunch. After this went on for a few months, one of my friends started calling me Nick Salami (salami is very similar to my last name).
So fast-forward to 2008, and I made a thread in GameWinners for some good movesets when I was recommended to the sites Serebii & Smogon. Although my GW name was Attack Troll,* I wanted something different, so I signed up at Serebii as -Nick 'Salami'. As I went to sign at Smogon, It was disallowing me from making names similar to -Nick 'Salami', so I signed up as Salami-Nator.
*Later, after signing up as Salami-Nator, I realised what a troll is, I really wished i kept that name.

In the eigth grade I was joking with my african american pal (im white) that I was going to become a rapper. I then spontaneously created my rapper name on the spot: mintyfresh. I think mintyfresh7 is gay, but smogon wouldnt let me just be mintyfresh, so I used my baseball number (mickey mantle ftw)
Back in the days, I was addicted to Pokemon. I wanted someone to play with, but because all my friends thought pokemon was 'a thing of the past', I had no one to play with. Later, I found out about Netbattle from gamefaqs, and I quickly registered on Netbattle under 'Leomon', which happened to be my RL nickname. However, people kept wondering what a Digimon was doing playing Pokemon, and thus I created a new nickname just so people would stop asking me those questions. I remember that back then, I just finished watching the final episode of Season 1 of Gundam Seed, and the mechnical bird there, named 'Birdy' was stuck in my head. The name was short and sweet, easily to type, and thus Birdy was born on Netbattle.
Later, I found out about Smogon from Netbattle, and I decided to register under Birdy, just so my names are the same. The name just kinda kept itself, so I'm Birdy on Shoddy too.
