The Challenger may look to finish of Frozone, now that he is at a low HP. It has been five rounds of battling so far without a single KO, as both trainers are looking to chip away at each other's team. The Trick Room makes things a bit tricky, as only Titanic can out-speed two of the challenger's pokemon in the trick room; and with Rankurusu out on the field, the Gym Leader might be hesitant to call forth to his Titanic.

Round 9: Metronomic Devastation!

Waterwarrior used the favorite move of a Rookie to win him a KO.

Rankurusu gained some HP as he went to rest in his pokeball.

Nattorei came out to beat the crap out of Chell, but the Gym Leader used a move that was inspired by its regular use in pokemon battles by a Rookie. I am sure he will be happy to see his signature move to be used with such effect.

Nattorei tried to get rid of the Item from Chell, but it was all in vain. As the much disputed pokemon for Racial Discrimination, managed to hold onto her Item, and got rid of Nattorei to give her trainer his first clear cut round victory this battle.

The challenger could have made a clean sweep of the battle, but he fell short of it. Although, I have a feeling that the margin of victory doesn't matter to him at all.

Nevertheless, with his first knock out of the battle; the Gym Leader, is all smiles as he waits to see, who the challenger would send out next.

Rankurusu comes back out to finish the battle and claim his MVP award for the battle. Getting three KO's in a battle that was going to end with only three KOs is a pretty good performance. I would have given him a badge called, "The Finisher" for this performance.

Chell tried her best to hold her ground and not give Rankurusu the KO. But a well timed Gyro Ball combination knocked the lights out for her and she fell to the ground, ending the battle; and with her fall marked the beginning of a new Era in ASB.
