[LCT Round 1] adiass vs. AOPSUser

Rules
Pokemon: 3v3
Format: Singles
DQ: Strict 72h Disqualification. One warning per player. After the warning is used (any tag after DQ interval is passed will be counted as warning), the Player has one hour to post (with full orders/pokemon, just saying "orders coming watch this space" doesn't suffice) after DQ is called to rescind it. If one hour passes, the player is DQ'd regardless of the ref posting or not. User calling DQ must tag DQ'd player. Referees please tag the combatants when you have finished your reffing. Players, if you know you're going to be away you better post a Leave of Absence BEFORE you leave, or give a very good reason in case of an emergency.

Arena
The ASB Tournament Arena
Field Type: Neutral
Complexity: Simple
Format: All

Restrictions: No Restrictions

Description: Surrounded by thousands of screaming Pokémon fans, the ASB Arena can be best described as a standard Pokémon battling arena. In the centre of the arena lies a dirt-based floor outlined to show two separate sides (with a white Poké Ball centre). Surrounding the dirt is a moat filled with water. The moat is about 4.5m wide & creates a perimeter around the dirt arena. The arena itself is 24m wide, 33m long. All moves, weathers, and abilities are legal for the match, since it is an outdoor arena with a large water source & packed dirt. Pokémon must stay in the arena (or the dimensions of the arena in the case of Flying-type Pokémon, who cannot leave the arena & cannot fly higher than 18m). This prevents Pokémon from injuring the crowd watching the tournament. There are no outside interruptions by fans, Pokémon, or other elements not associated with the current battle.

Greeting, humans. I have been called upon to "referee" this match. Rest assured, this match will be filled with flavor. Neither combatant specified, so I went with Mint Chocolate Chip.
Moving on. On one side, we have adiass, a relatively new player from the Battle Dome. What he lacks in experience, he makes up for in fighting spirit and determination, I'm sure. His pokemon appear to have relatively strong matchups against his opponent's team. Ferroseed, in particular, will be very difficult to bring down, walling the majority of AOPSUser's team. Oh, I have just been sent adiass's In-Depth Profile. It reads: "Bad." Fascinating.
On the other side of the arena, we have AOPSUser. I know little of this mysterious man, so please be aware that some of this information may be inaccurate. An older gentleman from the Galapagos Islands, he fights today for his daughter, a bright young girl who he had adopted when he found her being carried on the back of a giant tortoise. He later killed and ate the tortoise. She wishes to go to school on the mainlands, so that she may one day become a professional turtle-tamer, and AOPSUser intends to make her dreams come true using the prize money from this tournament. His Gastly will certainly be a large help in achieving his goal, with its strong offenses and tricky status moves.
Without further ado, let us begin.

IF Stealth Rocks are not on the field AND I am not asleep, use Stealth Rock that action.

Ferroseed: -2 HP (Burn)

Snatch was an interesting move choice on AOPSUser's part. Did he think that he could "steal" Stealth Rock with it? Or is it part of some greater sinister plan? It's probably the former, but let's let our imaginations run wild for a bit. Regardless, Gastly isn't very far behind Ferroseed at all in terms of HP, and with Ferroseed burned, AOPSUser is in an excellent position. However, adiass was able to take advantage of AOPSUser's error by setting up a free Stealth Rock, which could hurt AOPSUser badly later in the game. How exciting this is. *yawn*

I actually thought you could steal SR.

Hex --- Hex --- Hex
IF Ferroseed is not burned, AND Ferroseed is not under the effect of Rest, AND Ferroseed does not have a Substitute active, THEN use Will-O-Wisp and push actions back.
IF damaging Dark-type combo, THEN Protect that action.
IF Gyro Ball, THEN Torment.

Gastly loses quite a bit of its momentum, as AOPSUser evidently forgot about Ferroseed's Mental Herb. Gastle fruitlessly tried to Torment Ferroseed, who took the opportunity to dish out some extra damage.

Ah, don't you love humans and their resourcefulness? Necessity is the mother of invention. Similarly, Pain Split is the mother of EN loss. AOPSUser bridges the damage gap between him and adiass, but loses an ton of EN in the process. Gastly is left with just 1 EN to try to take out Ferroseed. Even if he does manage to do so, it'll have to suicide itself via EN exhaustion, already putting adiass in the lead for the damage race thanks to Stealth Rock.

I'm like 99% sure that's a valid chance sub.

Bergmite's Rocky Helmet was knocked off.

Bergmite used Rapid Spin! (-6 EN)
Crit: 7/16 NO
Damage: (4 + 6 - 4.5) = 5.5
The Stealth Rock was blown away!

Action Two
Pancham used Sky Uppercut! (-5 EN)
Crit: 9/16 NO
Damage: (9 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 9 - 4.5) * 1.5 = 30.75

Bergmite used Recover! (-11 EN)
Bergmite restored 20 HP.

Action Three
Bergmite used Protect! (-7 EN)

Pancham used Bulk Up! (-6 EN)
Pancham's DEF and ATK rose!

This round consisted of Pancham dealing massive damage to a poor, unsuspecting little ice cube, with the help of its abilities boosting its power and ignoring Bergmite's Sturdy. Though Bergmite managed to end the round without sustaining major injuries, it has failed to deal any damage at all to Pancham. AOPSUSer is in a bad position here. Should he stay in, Pancham will continue to massacre Bergmite. Should he switch, adiass will merely switch into Chinchou, which is an equally poor matchup for him. Well, at least Stealth Rock is gone.
