Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Phanpy is once again able to avoid damage while netting its second KOm quite the handy little Pokemon Dogfish has found himself there. It now stands mano-e-mano with Misdreavous, although Dogfish has both turn and Stealth Rock advantage playing in his favour.
Birkal as this is all thats left for this round I'd appreciate it moving along a little more. 60 days into the round is in 3 days, at which point the DQ interval will be halved to 36 hours
If Encore, and you are faster than Phanpy, use Taunt that action. Only do this once. Push back actions.
If Knock Off, use Protect on the first instance and Substitute (15HP) on the second. Push back actions each time.
If there are Double Team clones up when you would act, use Icy Wind that action. Push back actions.
Phanpy is intent on getting rid of Misdreavus item and is ultimately successful. Of course alone the way he wasted a lot of his own energy but thanks to utlising some protective substitutions from Birkal he made sure Missy wasted almost as much. Dogfish also managed to build a solid HP lead, but now has the danger of ordering first.
I'm just saying that 36 Hour DQs are daft. 48, I can see, but 36 is effectively 24h if your sleep schedule is misaligned with the ref's. Which is aaaa.
Seed Bomb ~ Rock Slide ~ Seed Bomb
IF Misdreavus is under the effect of a Protective/Evasive action THEN Chill AND push back IF Misdreavus is to use Pain Split AND Misdreavus is not to use Pain Split on the next action AND Misdreavus did not use Pain Split on the action prior THEN Protect AND push back
[ONCE] IF Misdreavus has active Double Team clones THEN Odor Sleuth AND push back
With levitate taking Phanpy's Rare Candy boosted STABS out of the equation its left with neutral coverage to try and take chips off of Misdreavus, which becomes a much more difficult equation once the little elephant is burned. Missy meanwhile is forced to burn a lot of energy on successive Pain Splits to get around Dogfish's substitution and try to even the odds. Birkal has mostly achieved that on HP but at the cost of most of his ghosts energy. There is a very good chance this one could be over in the coming round.
If protective / evasive move, Chill that action. Push back actions.
If Dodge, Chill that action. Push back actions.
If Encore in a combination, Chill that action. Push back actions.
One can't help but this this Misdreavus has totally neutered poor little Phanpy. With the Taunt to add frustration along with the burn Phanpy is left to chip away with moves that are costing him almost as much energy as they are doing damage to the ghost. With only a miniscule amount of energy remaining this one might be a formality.

Phanpy is left with little other option than to launch some Ice Shards in a frivolous attempt to take out Misdreavus before it's own energy reserves run out. Unfortunately they don't do almost enough and see many people's favourite eliminated from this tournament! On the bright side, at least now its finals time.
