pray mains the triforce champions and is still one of the best AD carries in korea
expession is known to singlehandedly carry games on irelia and jax
literally nothing is known about nagne but it's rumored that between him and SSONG, NJBS can play every single mid champion in the game bar a few fringe champions
they have a lot of potential and nobody knows anything about them which means that they could end up sweeping the rest of the tournament
late because i just got home from exams (game 3 was played during my exam ><)
pray is regarded as best AD world among most asian pros (even chinese) for a good reason - he plays everything to a good level. he's just all around really solid, he's not a never-die never-dive carry like score, he's not a balls to the wall carry like imp, but if he leans to one side of that spectrum, he comes pretty damn close to either of those players in terms of ability. those two have obvious weaknesses
though score is starting to patch them up, pray doesn't
expession is one of the few carry top laners remaining in korea. the only other notable carry top laners are shy and nonamed if you're a ctu fan
'literally nothing' is only true if you don't follow the korean scene in-depth (which i have to do as part of my role on tl). he's the antithesis to gbm though he used to jungle for gbm's old team. they have a bit of a rivalry, he mains assassins (ahri is his signature champion but apparently gambit didn't know/realise that until game 3) while gbm mains ranged farmers like ori and karth. nagne is incredibly cocky and it's not even his personality that he puts on for the camera, he does really disrespectful shit in pro games all the time and gets away with it. i wouldn't say he's faker #2 but faker, gbm and nagne form the shining ray of hope for the korean mid lane after recent disappointment from dade and ryu (and going back further, rapidstar, ambition and ezhoon)
i am actually going to say outright that the only reason sword lost game 1 was because nagne disrespected alex too much, backing to get a dring which ended up losing him the lane and costing him the roam opportunities that he usually takes to snowball his team
the only televised footage of them is nlb where you can see the nagne/watch combo just demolish everyone. playcalling switched from maknoon to be more balanced between expession and watch, it really shows in watch's improved play imo. honestly sword's outcome at worlds was going to be:
- get shit on because they haven't improved since champions summer
- demolish everyone because on paper the only other team in korea that matches them blow-for-blow is kt bullets and their main problem is drafting/indecisiveness
i am actually confident they will give skt t1 a good shake-up, they will be excellent practice and i predict the winner of the korea vs korea semi to win the entire tournament unless china gets their shit together
