Arena: Crater Return
The Arena is a sizeable (about 50 metres in diameter) crater from some explosion or meteor impact. Rough but unscalable walls surround the entire area. The ground is a loose mixture of gravel and sand with tufts of grass spread about the place with no particular pattern. Water trickles down one side of the crater into a small pool about 10m wide and 1.5m down at it's deepest point, at the very edge of the crater. It is noon, so the sun is shining directly into the crater. There is nothing in the way of cover; no trees have grown since the unknown impact and any rocks were ground into dust.
I lost my last battle at this location, and I don't intend on letting it happen again.

Begin with Will-o-Wisp. If it misses, try again. Otherwise, follow up with confuse Ray. Finish with Thunderbolt, or Confuse Ray if you didn't use it before.

The two Pokemon stare each other down, waiting for the other to make the first move. Then Iota begins to hover closer to HardHead, then she releases a blue coloured flame at her opponent. Oh man, the Will-o-Wisp hit its target! HardHead will find it hard to do some damage now. He doesn't seem to bothered by his burn, as he begins to kick at the ground. All this dirt is making a Sandstorm! It appears both Pokemon are more concerned with hindering their opponents attacks.

Iota then shoots a beam of light that pierces through the sandstorm, and this Ray appears to Intensely Confuse HardHead. However, it seems that HardHead is able to maintain his composure as a blue-white aura surrounds him. He then charges Iota and attempts to Smash his Head into her. Oh wow! Iota manages to float away from HardHead's reach, as he comes crashing to the ground.

A sharp burst of light comes from Iota, and then a Thunderbolt shoots directly at HardHead, exploding upon impact and knocking him back. HardHead begins to glow red, he must really be angry! No wait, it's not out of anger, he's using Rock Polish to increase his speed. Let's see what will happen next round.

This is going to sound crazy but first jump into the water hopefully curing your burn. Next if the Confuse Ray reaches you close your eyes but if not use Dragon Rush to rush out of the water and hold him on the ground. Finally use Earthquake if you managed to keep him on the ground or if not use Iron Claw.

Jump into Water -> Close your eyes if Confuse Ray reaches you/Dragon Rush if not, holding his on the ground -> Earthquake if he is pinned to the ground/Iron Claw if not

The two stare each other down after a rather uneventful first round. Iota then takes the initiative and kicks off the round by invading HardHead's mind to try and Disable him. Wow, it seems that Iota has completely erased HardHead's memory of Head Smash! Maybe HardHead has lost his mind, but it appears that he is running towards the water. He then jumps into the water, but he just sinks right to the bottom. I hope he can get out soon, or at least hold his breath long enough to get out. doominic77 waits in silence, hoping his dear partner will be OK, then he hears a splash, looks up and cheers as he sees HardHead climb his way out of the water. It also appears that he isn't as troubled by the burn as he used to be, but was the price he payed worth it?

Iota doesn't leave any any room for rest as she once again launches a Confuse Ray at her opponent but HardHead closes his eyes in an attempt to block the confusing light. He opens his eyes and notices the light has vanished, and he appears to have kept his focus as well!

Angry that HardHead isn't confused, Iota launches a Thunderbolt at him. It hits its mark, exploding on impact! But HardHead wasn't knocked back, as he charges Iota and his claws start to glow white. He then jumps in the air and slashes at her with his Metal Claws, send her spiraling backwards.

Ok, so "a little bit" took quite a bit longer than I thought. Also, I forgot to account for Sturdy for the last 2 rounds, so HardHead will magically regain 2 HP.

The round starts with a stare down between Iota and HardHead. Iota then begins to stare deeply into her opponents eyes, attempting to Hypnotize HardHead. However, the sandstorm must have blocked out the line of sight as HardHead is still awake! HardHead then charges through the sandstorm striking Iota with his Metal Claw, knocking her back.

Iota once again charges energy as it sends a Thunderbolt hurling towards HardHead. The attack hits and the explosions sends HardHead flying backwards. But he is able to quickly regain his footing as he once again charges Iota. This time he glows with a blue aura that makes him look like a Dragon Rushing towards Iota.

After the two collide, Iota sends another Thunderbolt at HardHead. HardHead appears to be ready for this as he starts to run towards his opponent. He then leaps up and uses the explosion from Thunderbolt to propel himself towards Iota. This appears to have worked, since it appears HardHead has dealt some critical damage with Metal Claw!

I would like to start by saying that this outcome was completely decided by the RNG.

Wanting to put an end to it, Iota once again charges of energy and fires a Thunderbolt at HardHead as he begins to be surrounded in a blue aura. HardHead charges right through the Thunderbolt and uses Head Smash sending Iota flying back.

Neither Pokemon let up, as HardHead keeps Rushing towards his opponent with the ferocity of a Dragon. However, Iota is able to send another Thunderbolt flying towards HardHead before contact, and it appears that HardHead was critically injured by that Thunderbolt. How these two Pokemon can keep moving is a mystery to me!

As it seems we are nearing the end of the battle, Iota shoots another Thunderbolt at HardHead. HardHead was to weak to even attempt to dodge the attack and the explosion knocks him into the air. It appears that HardHead is down for the count! 1...2...3...4...What's this? HardHead is being surrounded by a blue-white aura and slowly climbs to his feet. Then with his last ounce of strength he charges Iota once again Smashing his Head into the ghost at full strength! Iota then falls to the ground knocked out. Just as HardHead is about to return to his trainer, he collapses finally succumbing to the burn damage. Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a draw!!!!!!!
