    Type: Normal
    Base Stats: 135 HP / 85 Atk / 40 Def / 85 SpD / 5 Spe
Abilities: Pickup / Thick Fat / Gluttony (Dream world ability.

Munchlax is the definition of a "tank". With excellent defensive base stats and excellent Attack, Munchlax is a tough Pokemon to beat. Its movepool isn't lacking either, with access to Return, Fire Punch, Earthquake, and Pursuit for Ghosts. Munchlax is one of the only Pokemon who can actually wall in Little Cup.

    ~ Amazing coverage in movepool
~ Great Attack and Sp.D to tank.
    ~ Monstrous Hp

    Name: Special tank
    Move 1: Return
    Move 2: Fire punch
    Move 3 Pursuit
Move 4: Earthquake / Ice punch
    Item: Oran berry
    Ability: Thick fat
    EVs: 236 Atk / 236 Sp.D

    Set description:
This thing can, and probably will wall special attackers all day. Great moveset to hit everything in little cup neutrally, and most SE. Return for STAB, pursuit for ghosts such as misdreavus, ghastly and etc, fire punch for bronzor and either earthquake or ice punch, ice punch for gligar and earthquake for other steels and rocks.

Teammates:Gligar and Duskull, koffing, misdreavus, desumasu and pururiru make an excellent combination with Munchlax walling everything to hell and back

Nothing can switch in unless it has some bulk or munchlax is burned, strong psyhical attackers can take down Munchlax, barely.

    Optional changes:
    None, this set hits everything.

    Munchlax (M) @ Evolution Stone
    Trait: Pickup
    EVs: 76 HP / 196 Def / 236 SDef
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Stockpile
    - Whirlwind
    - Rest
    - Sleep Talk

    Set description:
~5th gen brought us a lot more hazard users in the aspect of spikes with Tesshido and ishizumai and yasodatsu (or something ). This would allow munchlax to whirlwind around opponents for extra damage.
~With stockpile included munchlax becauses an almost impossible to take down tank.
~For extra recover rest is added, and sleep talk aswell for being in action when he's asleep.

    Additional comments:
    ~None, it's pretty straight forward

~ Pretty obvious, great spike setters such as , tesshido, ishizumai and yasodatsu can all help set up spikes, gligar, teshhido can set up stealth rock aswell ( Teshhido can't have SR and Spikes).
~Something to clean up fighting types such as meditite and machop would help, like pururui, desumasu and Duskull will all help.

    Optional changes:
~Return over stockpile COULD be used if you want some kind of attacking option but not recommended.

~Anything with taunt will shut down this set.
~Strong psyhical fighting tops before he can set up a stockpile or two.
~ A team that isnt affected by entry hazards that much

Feel free to discuss how Munchlax can poitentionally wreck this Gen, or maybe you think it won't.
    Please discuss!
Oh, and since i only have one moveset, all other movesets are welcome!

And Koffing and Misdreavus and Pururiru and Desukan and Gobitto.

    Don't forget them.

Erm, shouldn't the set be just like Gen 4?

    ~ Return / Body Slam
    ~ Earthquake
    ~ Pursuit
~ Fire Punch / Ice Punch / Protect

AC mention of Curse and Leftovers.

    TO mention of Trick Room.

And put Nails' Whirlwind-Stockpile-Resttalk set in here. It's apparently very good.

Please fix the format. Look at other analyses for examples of what we're looking for. Otherwise I'll have to lock it.

The set is overhyped. It loses to the metagame (read: Zuruggu) and needs a team full of support (Bare minimum is SR and hail, and for its full effectiveness it needs to have a layer of TSpikes, and even then it can't kill anything with recovery). It's also dependant on Evo Stone, as it's very difficult to set up without a free +1, and without Evo Stone, stuff can finish it off (currently takes under 50% from Machop's Dynamicpunch, but taking 70% or so from it would make it hugely less effective). It also dies to taunt, and is hurt hard by leech seed and Encore. With all that said, I still feel the set needs to be listed. When set up, it's incredibly devastating, and it can literally kill everything by hitting it with Stealth Rock and Hail damage if all their Fighting types and really strong physical attackers are dead. It absorbs all status, which is a huge thing in LC, and if your opponent doesn't have a Fighting type they WILL be swept by it. However, it needs to be mentioned that it needs shit tons of team support.

Fire Punch is still > seed bomb (which is worse than thunderpunch b/c hax is cool) because of Nattorei. Thick fat is definately more useful. Also, Protect gained tons of viability this gen; because of that, lefties becomes a lot better because protect isn't simply being used to stall for leftovers and has use outside that.

    One last thing, TrueLuck:

Fighters beat this set whether it's at +3 or not. Like all rest talkers, it needs to avoid 3hkoes to be successful, and all fighters that are used (loltyrogueuhita) can 3hko it. 30/52 Defense is beastly, but it can't take stab SE attacks from the fighters' huge attack stats.

As for the second part, it's irrelevant how well the team handles hazards. If they can't kill Munchy, he will stall them out, regardless of whether they all take 1 damage or half their hp bar per switch in.

Oh, and mention Snover(better)/Hippo(usable) as a potential teammates to the resttalk lax; any residual damage helps. Stalling out bronzors with hail damage is lulzy. Hippo also counters the set, as it can phaze Munchlax faster than it if Munchy is awake. Also at least mention TSpikes, and that one layer is better than two (low hp stats mean toxic damage is slow).

Last thing, put curselax. And TR Lax (Life Orb). Both are beastmons.

Oh, I'd forgotten about Nattorei. But, I also think that Seed Bomb>Pursuit may be better. Seed Bomb his Puruiru harder and Misdreavus for equal damage, while Fire Punch hits Gastly almost as hard as well as being a better general attack. Ghosts do NOT switch out of Munchlax anymore, as Pursuit is so common. Hell, WoW Missy uses it as set-up bait. As for TPunch being better due to 10% Paralysis chance, I certainly hope that you're joking. Seed Bomb hits Gligar and Chinchou, TPunch does not. I don't see very many merits to TPunch>Seed Bomb.
