My first OU drizzle team!

Hello smogon,im a new player that has just been able to reach the 1.5k rating (big achievement for me,dont laugh please D:)However i have been stuck at that rating for quite sometime.Hence,i am taking any suggestions to make my team better.I really didnt put much thought into the team and really just put in whatever pokes i loved so please no harsh critisism.

The team:

186.gif

Politoed (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Perish Song
Since its a rain team ofcourse my lead would be politoed.I run choice scarf mainly because hes such a beast with it.Scarf toed is actually quite powerful and he can sometimes ohko unsuspecting victims.I run perish song incase i fail epicly and let the opponent set up.
thundurus-incarnate.jpg

Thundurus-T (M) @ Expert Belt
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Grass Knot
- Volt Switch
Thundurus is here to abuse rain as much as possible and he outspeeds alot of people.I run grass knot as sometimes people switch in a gastrodon only to be hit hard by a grass knot.

Tentacruel @ Black Sludge
Trait: Rain Dish
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 236 Def / 20 Spd
Bold Nature
- Toxic Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Scald
- Protect
Tentacruel! What else can i say? This guy is so hard to take down (except earthquake ;o)And he spins away stealth rocks which is the bane of the team's existance.I really have to thank Asek and Adrian Marin for helping me out with this one.

Ferrothorn (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SDef
Relaxed Nature
- Spikes
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
- Power Whip
Ah,Ferrothorn.I just love ferrothorn because of his ability to annoying the hell out of people. And underrain most supereffective fire type moves cant ohko ferro.I run thunderwave because i just LOVE paralyzing the enemy making them slower and easier to finish off later.I run dual hazards just because if i manage to get ALL of them up they will hurt a ton.

Salamence @ Lum Berry
Trait: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Hydro Pump
Salamence is my late game sweeper.Moxie is just an awesome ability on salamence. After getting a dragon dance up,if the enemy is stupid enough to let you kill one or two of his pokes with out shutting him down moxie will bring Salamences' attack level to an all time high.
terrakion.jpg

Terrakion @ Choice Band
Trait: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- X-Scissor
- Quick Attack
Terrakion is just awesome. He helps me with my problems of getting walled by opposing ferrathorns. He also can ohko dragons with stone edge.

I know this team looks alittle retarded. So im appealing to anyone with alot of battle experience to rate my team and suggest changes. Thanks for reading!

Hi, there

Solid team, I have just a few suggestions. I would try on Politoed Focus Blast> Surf / Hydro Pump (here's more of a personal choice, if you prefer to be precise then it is better to keep surfing, but if you opt for the power then it is better Hydro Pump), Focus Blast put it to have one more chance to kill Ferrothorn I see only Alakazam and Terrakion with moves fight.

For Thundurus-T as abuses of Rain with Politoed, I would say to put Thunder> Thunderbolt, which has 100% accuracy under the Rain and more chances of paralysis, which is very convenient.

Ferrothorn to see that its main task is to set up Stealth Rock and Spikes, but there is the problem that has not moved from HP recovery, to set all those entry hazards there vederei I better set Chesto Rester, with whom he certainly more strength and ability to set what must, as it can heal any status like Burn or paralysis and recover all the energy with Chesto Berry + Rest, since you say you love the paralysis could put Rest> Power Whip, as this interest is the set Hazards to prepare the ground to sweeper and nothing else.

tl;dr
Focus Blast > Surf/Hydro Pump (for Politoed)
Thunder > Thunderbolt (for Thundurus-T)
Chesto Berry > Leftovers (for Ferrothorn)
Rest > Power Whip (for Ferrothorn)

Wow thanks dude! i just tried it out,There is a REALLY big power difference between thunderbolt and thunder. Thanks man.
And focus blast has done ok but i just hate that it misses quite often >.<
As for chestorest ferrothorn,it really has improved ferro's survivability and has allowed me to set up my hazzards. however im still not too sure about it.

Thanks alot man!

No rapid spinner?? Salamence and Thundurus-T are begging to have a rapid spinner, even more so since you apply scouting to your strategy. All in all your team is extremely well covered, but you do indeed have a problem once your Alakazam is dead All of your pokemon except Salamence are exposed to status personally I almost always have an anti status pokemon such as mew (which has access to heal bell, will-o-wisp,and a lot of moves to really annoy your opponent). However I have an idea, instead of Alakazam, you could use Espeon to Stop Rocks and Spikes but then again espeon would not suit your style of play based on what I have seen... You could use Forretress instead of Ferrothorn to fill your rocks weakness.

Still, An excellent team all together. Hopefully my input has helped.

Oh and you are a little insecure about your team calling it "retarded" and etc. Please your team is way way way better then most teams I have seen, and you also just started playing!

Hi

Cool team. First off I noticed that entry hazards are a pretty big problem for this team. You have 2 Stealth Rock weak pokemon and politoed being forced to switch into repeated hazards through out a weather war can also have its toll. Your team is also threatened a lot by Keldeo, you don't have any safe switch in for it and it can dent your team heavily with specs or revenge kill it all with a scarf on. To fix the hazard weakness and give you some keldeo protection I strongly suggest you use Tentacruel > Alakazam. Tentacruel when used alongisde ferrothorn provides a very strong defensive back bone for your team to fall back on and switch into all the threats you will encounter in ou. Tentacruel most importantly provides rapid spin to make salamence and thundurus's life a lot easier. Tentacruel can burn physical attackers and toxic everything else, so its got plenty of use as a check and counter to most OU special attackers and quite a few physical attackers. Tentacruel is also very durable, and can stick around for a long course of the match making weathering down said threats it checks / counters a lot easier.

A smaller change I would reccomend is using Focus Blast > Grass Knot on thundurus. Sure Gastrodon has the potential to wall your team, but ferrothron, terrakion and salamence all threaten it a lot and it won't stand up to a repeated bashing from the new focus blast either. Focus Blast allows you to hit SpD Heatran, ferrothorn a lot harder while retaining the ability to hit mamoswine and to an extent gastrodon hard. I would also test a naughty nature on salamence as there aren't many relevant threats you miss out on when not running the +speed nature at +1 and the power boost can come in handy
