Arena: Wind Tunnel
Arena: Wind Tunnel
Field Type: Neutral
Complexity: Moderate
Format: Multiples

Restrictions: None

Description: Contrary to what the title suggests, the arena is located on top of a high mesa. There are sufficient sources of rocks and grass, along with a small lake in the center of the field, so no moves are restricted. However, the arena does live up to its name at least somewhat, as frequent gusts of wind bombard the area, capable of blowing Pokemon away with ease. At the end of each action, there is a 50% chance that a randomly selected Pokemon is hit by a gust of wind that has the exact same effect as Whirlwind. If a Pokemon with Suction Cups, or one that is under the effects of Ingrain, is selected by this effect more than once in a round, it is affected as if it did not have said ability/it was not under said effect. If a Pokemon is in the evasive phase of Fly at the end of an action, it can still be affected by the gusts, and if a Pokemon that has been hit by a gust is in the evasive phase of Fly at the end of the round, it is still switched out.

Summary: There is a chance that a random Pokemon will be forced out at the end of each action.
P2X7 Mons:

Togepi [Vol] (F)
Nature: Bold (+1 Def, -1 Atk)
Type: Fairy
Fairy: Fairy STAB: -1 EN on non-Fairy typed Nature, Sound, and Scent moves (Stacks with second STAB where applicable). (Nature Power, Natural Gift; Sound Moves; Aromatherapy, Odor Sleuth, Sweet Scent)

Abilities:

Hustle: (Toggle) No default effect. When toggled, this Pokemon puts immense force and speed into its physical attacks, increasing the Base Attack Power of all its physical attacks by three (3), but the haste used lowers their accuracy to 80% of normal.
Serene Grace: (Passive) This Pokemon has a blessing which doubles the success chance of its attack’s secondary effects. (eg paralysis from Thunderbolt)
Super Luck (DW): (Passive) This Pokemon’s natural skill increases its critical hit levels one stage above other Pokemon, making its normal moves inflict critical hits 12.5% of the time and its high critical hit moves inflict critical hits 25% of the time.

Type: Bug
Bug: Bug STAB; Adds an additional guaranteed attack on all multi-hit moves (does not include two hit moves) with a total hit cap of five (5).

Abilities:

Shield Dust: (Passive) This Pokemon has dust covering the outside of its body that prevents opponents secondary effects from taking place (eg burn from Flamethrower). It does not block direct status moves (such as Thunder Wave.)
Run Away (DW Locked): (Passive) This Pokemon is quick on its feet and will evade any field traps and hazards that would harm it (Spikes, Stealth Rock, Toxic Spikes) in an arena. A Pokemon can still absorb Toxic Spikes if it has Run Away and is Poison-typed. Run Away does not allow the Pokemon to switch out of trapping moves or abilities, however it can escape other situational trapping strategies in battle.

"Let's get this started!"

Caterpie @ Amulet Coin | Magikarp @ Exp. Share

"Ok girls (and guy), this is our first doubles, so please excuse my mistakes, ok?

GO!
Hyrule @ Amulet Coin
Lira @ Nothing

Let's get this started!"

Hyrule (Dratini):
Thunderbolt (Magikarp) - Dragon Pulse (Magikarp) - Thunderbolt (Magikarp)

IF Magikarp is in the evasive stage of Bounce when you would attack, THEN Fire Blast (Caterpie) and push actions back.
IF Magikarp uses Reversal (Dratini) A3, THEN use Protect (Dratini) A3.
IF Magikarp is KOed when you would attack, THEN Fire Blast (Caterpie) all remaining actions.

Lira (Spritzee):
Thunderbolt (Magikarp) - Energy Ball (Magikarp) - Thunderbolt (Magikarp)

IF Magikarp is in the evasive stage of Bounce when you would attack, THEN Sweet Kiss (Caterpie) the first instance, Light Screen the second one and Chill the third one, pushing actions back every time.
IF Magikarp is KOed when you would attack, THEN Thunderbolt (Caterpie) all remaining actions.

"It would seem that you've underestimated us."

Caterpie: Roleplay Action: String Shot (Tie Dratini's mouth shut) - Bug Bite (Dratini) - Electroweb

Magikarp: Dragon Rage (Dratini) - Reversal (Dratini) - Dragon Rage (Dratini)

"You may stop Hyrule's Dragon Pulse with that string, but as far as I know, Dratini's Thunderbolt does not come out from it's mouth!"

"A note to tavok."

"All non-bipedal Pokemon generally use their facial orafices (I.e. mouth) for elemental attacks."

What? But no Pokémon uses its mouth to perform Thunderbolt in the anime .-. They always shot it from their whole body.

Maybe if they are electric types, and can control the flow of their lightning. Or if they have a protruding horn.

Reffing soon/later.

Alright, I didn't mean to cause a big debate here, I was just posting actions. To be honest, it doesn't really matter to me whether Thunderbolt comes from the user's mouth, and thus whether it would fail or not. I knew that I could at least interfere with one attack, and that blocking Thunderbolt would be a nice, but not altogether essential, bonus.

To sum this up, I'm sorry that I caused this discussion, and String Shot was intended to block Dragon Pulse, with Thunderbolt possibly blocked as well, at the ref's discretion.

(Note that string shot will only be weakening the power of moves from dratini's mouth.)

Togepi @ Exp. Share because I have two of them now

Togepi: Dazzling Gleam - Extrasensory (Dratini) - Dazzling Gleam
IF Dratini is under the effects of a P/E move when you would use Extrasensory, target your other opponent instead.
IF Gastly targets you with Hypnosis, look away.
KO Sub: IF Dratini is KOed when you would act, use Shadow Ball (Gastly) that action instead..

Caterpie: Electroweb - Bug Bite (Dratini) - Bug Bite (Dratini)
IF your target is under the effects of a P/E move when you would act, target your other opponent instead.
IF you are under the effects of Torment when you would use Bug Bite, use Tackle (Dratini) the first instance, and Electroweb the second.
KO Sub: IF your target is KOed when you would act, target your other opponent instead.

"Type disadvantage sucks, right girls?"

Dratini: Light Screen - Fire Blast (Caterpie) - Dragon Pulse (Caterpie)

Gastly: Sludge Bomb (Togepi) - Thunderbolt (Caterpie) - Sludge Bomb (Togepi)

Flavor:

To come.

As the wind blows, Gastly and Togepi are sent out. The round starts as Gastly conjures a bomb of poisonous waste to chuck at Togepi, who reels back in pain, just as Gastly and its friend are blindsided by an electromagnetic web from Caterpie. Not to be outdone, Dratini writhes about a bit, causing a beautiful prismatic wall to erupt from the ground, dampening its side from special attacks. Togepi then starts to glow, and then projects the light into two beams that ravage the foes, but is harshly reduced in potency by the screen built by Dratini just moments before. Gastly then takes revenge on the meddlesome bug for the shocking, and releases 100,000 volts into Caterpie, zapping it quite badly, who responds by leaping at Dratini, passing through the wall unfazed, and latching onto its face with those adorable little fangs that caterpillars have, (I like actual caterpillars by the way lol. You have have one bite your finger? Hurts a little.) and then catching a faceful of flame from Dratini's gaping maw, only to have the serpent shocked by a blast of otherworldly psychokinetic energy from Togepi. Gastly then, leaving the caterpillar alive, launches a virtual grenade of filth at Togepi, who can't escape the shrapnel of disease this time, and begins to begins to suffer lasting poisonous effects. Caterpie, continuing to bite at Dratini, is hit smack dab by a pulse from its foe, and falls unconscious to the ground. Upon seeing this, Togepi starts to glow, and blasts its foes with a Dazzling ray of light. The shimmering shield helps protect Gastly from the brunt of the attack, but does nothing to protect its founder, who is hit full force by the attack, and falls, smoking, to the ground. There is faint cursing you hear, and this time it is just the wind, as both battlers meant to be shuffled are fainted.
