BMUP!

Nah but seriously, bump it like once every two weeks at most. That way people will see the Parasect analysis, think "Oh, haven't seen that in a while" and pop in for a look. Bumping three times in three days isn't worth it, and I'm not sure whether it's even allowed.

[Overview]

<p> Parasect is definitely has a one-of-a-kind Rags to Riches story. Who knew that one day a Pokemon will rise from the fallen depths of the Neverused tier to join some of the greats in the Overused tier. <p> (Merge this sentence with the next paragraph)

<p> Gen 5 has been very kind to Parasect due to the banning of the Drizzle and Swift Swim combo. Thus making room for This allows room for Parasect in a Rain team because of its Ability:, Dry Skin. Combine that with Leech Seed, Leftovers, and a couple of turns to spare while the opponent is asleep with Spore, makes Parasect can be a massive headache to deal with in on Rain teams. Parasect's being a typing, Grass/Bug, type resists the two most painful weaknesses that Rain teams share: Grass and Electric Grass- and Electric-type moves. Parasect also resists some two of the most used types in the OU metagame: Ground and Fighting. Unluckily for Parasect, the fun stops there. Its unique typing also opens it up to a number of 4x quadruple weaknesses to( Fire and Flying), a Stealth Rocks weakness, and a 2x weakness to Ice and Bug. <p>

<p> Overall, Parasect is one of the only Grass types that fit well in a Rain team, and with a couple of unique moves to back it up, Parasect can become one of the most effective stalling Pokemon out there. An effective staller. <p>

[Set]
Name: SubSeed
move 1: Spore
move 2: Substitute
move 3: Leech Seed
move 4: X-Scissor / Protect
item: Leftovers
nature: Careful
ability: Dry Skin
evs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 SpDef

[SET COMMENTS]

<p> Parasect is the one of only three SubSeeders out there not named Breloom or Smeargle that can learn one of the best moves in the game: Spore. A 100% accuracy move that induces sleep will give you Parasect a couple of free turns free to regenerate your HP, or at least one turn of free healing if the opponent decides to switch out. If you combine Leech Seed, Dry Skin, and Leftovers recovery, that's a lot of HP recovered each turn. Here you have to make the important decision of which move fits the last move-slot the best Two moves are vying for the last moveslot. X-Scissor is a great move for dealing with those pesky Grass-type Pokemon who resist immune to Leech Seed, and X-Scissor is a great way for hitting them for super effective damage. It also allows Parasect to defeat Ferrothorn in the rain. Ferrothorn cannot break Parasect's' ( Change placement of apostrophe) subs Substistutes easily as Parasect resists Power Whip and Gyro Ball. This works well because Ferrothorn is immune to Parasect's' (Same thing with the apostrophe) Leech Seed and Toxic Spikes. Protect also works as a pseudo healing move if you plan on going full stall, which will come in handy for healing a lot of your HP. <p>

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

<p> Just like Leavanny and Plant form regular Wormadam (Regular Wormadam is Bug / Grass) (due to the same typing), it will be taking more Special hits than Physical due to its typing. The defensive EVs plus the a Careful nature provides slightly higher Special Defense than Defense. You may also take away 28 Defense EVs and put them into Speed to be able to outspeed Wobbuffet. Aromatherapy is a very interesting move to use over Spore to be able to heal any status conditions that Parasect or its teammates possess. In the rain, Parasect has a couple of teammates that really shine: one of them is Lanturn, as Parasect covers its only weakness: Ground-type. Lanturn also covers one of Parasects 4x weakness, which is Fire-type. Another great Partner is Omastar, as it covers all of Parasects weaknesses, with the exception of Rock. And Parasect also covers some of its weaknesses, such as Fighting-, Ground and Electric-types. A Pokemon that can learn Toxic Spikes works very well with Parasect as it makes Parasect's job of stalling a whole lot easier. Keep in mind that you won't be able to use Spore due to the fact that once the opponent switches in it will be poisoned. <p>

[Other Options]

<p>Apart from stalling on a Rain team, there isn't much that Parasect can do. Some other useful moves that are in Parasect's' move-pool are (but not limited to):Swords Dance, Growth, and Light Screen. Another set that Parasect could utilize into its vast arsenal of sets is a Double Powder set, which uses Spore and Stun Spore to spread status to the opposing team. <p>

[Checks and Counters]

<p> Anything that is able to change the weather is very threatening for Parasect., especially Sun as it increases Parasects 4x weakness to Fire-type attacks and gradually decreases its health because of Parasects' Ability, Dry Skin. Whimsicott can be a nuisance to deal with as it isn't affected by Leech Seed due to its Grass-typing. It also poses a huge threat as it can both Taunt and Toxic before you can Spore or even bring up a Substitute. If you are running Parasect without X-Scissor, you will also have a very hard time dealing with Xatu and Espeon as they both posses the ability Magic Bounce;, which will reflect any status condition back to Parasect. Very few Pokemon are able to know Herbivore, and even fewer actually use it, but you must be aware of it as it raises the Pokemon's Attack by one stage if hit by a Grass-type move. <p>

[Dream World]

<p> Parasect learns Damp. There is absolutely no reason to use this ability because Explosion has been nerfed in this generation.<p>
You've got the gist of it, just need to get your grammar down.
Overall good analysis.

Lol, actually if im not mistaken a thread is allowed to be bumped every 24 hours…
That's only for RMTs, and you're only allowed to do it once. Just contact a GP member if that's all the analysis needs. But anyway this really isn't ready for GP checks >.> there are some major content issues.

- Politoed isn't mentioned at all as a teammate in AC. This obviously isn't right since the set needs rain to function.
- The only teammates you mention are Lanturn and Omastar, when there are many "better" pokes in OU that patch up Parasect's weaknesses
- Checks & Counters needs an overhaul. common super effective attacks, common Substituters like Gengar/Gliscor, Taunt users, etc. aren't mentioned at all when they're the best way to counter it. I dunno why Whimsicott is stressed as a counter either when it can't seed you and gets wrecked by Xscissor

Oh shoot, I didnt see this get a new post. It didnt turn bold.
I must say that you are right in adding Politoed in it, my bad.
but, This Pokemon ONLY works in rain. Omastar and Lanturn are two examples in the Rain. An amazing teamate that I can get off of the top of my head is Heatran.
Alright, Ill make a change to the Check and Counters, I see your point.
Thank you for the advice :)

I mewnt ourside of rain one that i can think of. And yes, plenty of water types do work well as papa some of their weaknesses, but come on. Im not gonna namr allmof em am i? :P

This works well because Ferrothorn is immune to Parasect's Leech Seed and Toxic Spikes.(this sentence just seems like it was kind of thrown in here, no where in your analysis, yet, talks about Toxic Spikes. I'd say remove it) Protect can be used as a pseudo healing move if you plan on going full stall, which will come in handy for healing a lot of your HP.</p>

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

<p>Just like Leavanny and Wormadam, Parasect will be taking more special hits than physical. The defensive EVs plus a Careful nature provide slightly higher Special Defense than Defense. You may also take away 28 Defense EVs and put them into Speed to be able to outspeed Wobbuffet. Aromatherapy is a very interesting move to use over Spore to be able to heal any status conditions that Parasect or its teammates possess. Politoed is a must when using Parasect, as its Ability, Drizzle, creates rain on the field that won't stop, unlike Rain Dance which only lasts five turns or eight with Damp Rock. When the rain is falling, Parasect has two partners that it absolutely adores: Lanturn and Omastar. Lanturn has a very symbiotic relationship with Parasect, where Parasect resists Lanturn's weakness to Ground-type moves, Lanturn resists Parasect's 4x weakness to Fire-type attacks. Omastar is another great partner for Parasect as it covers all of Parasect's weaknesses, with the exception of Rock, and can lay down Toxic Spikes which makes stalling a great deal easier. Parasect also covers some of its weaknesses, such as Fighting-, Ground-, and Electric-type attacks. Keep in mind that you won't be able to use Spore due to the fact that once the opponent switches in it will be poisoned.</p>

Very few Pokemon have Herbivore, and even fewer actually use it, but you must be aware of it as it raises the Pokemon's Attack by one stage if hit by a Grass-type move. Any Substitute/Taunt user is very dangerous as it doesn't allow Parasect to use any move other than an attacking move, and even then X-Scissor wont be doing much as Parasect has a low Attack stat.</p>

[Dream World]

<p>Parasect obtains Damp via Dream World, however there is no reason to use it as in almost every situation Dry Skin is the better ability.</p>
Yo you don't need to put spaces between the <p> tags and the paragraph itself, also at the end you <p> tags by putting a forward slash in them (</p>).
I fixed some spelling and grammar issues, and tried to work around some of the awkward phrasing you did. Otherwise you did a very fine job.

OH before I forget, it's SpD on SpDef.

I like Gen's proofread.

Little nitpick, "rain" or weather in general (sun, hail, sandstorm) isn't capitalized so lowercase it throughout. And at the overview's second "paragraph", "an" should be lowercased. Oh, and it should be "Grass-types" with the hyphen there.

Also, the order is:

item:
ability:
nature:
evs:

On Gen's edit for Set Comments, "X-Scissor is a great move for to use..." remove the "for" when editing. Also, "Substistutes" should be "Substitutes" for this section. Parasect also does not resist Gyro Ball, but it's slow enough to take minor damage from it. At the last sentence, "your" should be "Parasect's".

For the AC, I'm not sure if the comparison with Leavanny and Wormadam is a solid one. Consider mentioning more "OU" worthy Pokemon? "you" should be changed to "Parasect" in the last sentence.

If the Pokemon is being talked as an "it", "who" shouldn't be used; instead, "that/which" should be used to stay consistent. "Who" is used when the Pokemon is depicted as a "he/she".

At Dream World, a semi-colon (;) should be used after "Dream World" and a comma after "however".

"ability" is lowercased, so just fix that when editing in Gen's edits.

Two moves are vying for the last moveslot. The last moveslot depends on preference. X-Scissor is a generally good move for hitting Grass-types, who are immune to Leech Seed, super effectively. It also allows Parasect to defeat Ferrothorn in the rain. Specifically, Ferrothorn cannot break Parasect's Substistutes easily as Parasect resists Power Whip and Gyro Ball. This works well because Ferrothorn is immune to Parasect's Leech Seed and Toxic Spikes. Protect also works as a pseudo both a scouting and healing move if you plan on going full stall, which will come in handy for healing a lot of your HP Parasect’s HP. <p>

Many trivial errors, I hope I fixed them all.

You mention Lanturn as great partner, but not Rotom? They both have the same resistances due to same typing, with the exception of their immunities. I think he deserves a mention since I see a lot more of him than Lanturn.
