[QC REJECTED 1/3] Arcanine

Well excuse me, but I did test it. I used it on a stall team and it didn't disappoint me. It literally tanks physical attacks really well--it's bulkier than 252 HP/ 252 Def Hippowdon with Intimidate. Sure it has a Stealth Rock weakness, but removing entry hazards nowadays is not even a difficult matter. It's also relatively bulky on the special side, so it's not completely vulnerable. Furthermore, because it's a Fire-type, it's not entry hazard bait against the likes of Ferrothorn, Forretress, and Skarmory. Lastly, the fact that it has Roar, Will-O-Wisp, Morning Sun, and Intimidate, it's a rather strong supporter in my opinion.
On my stall team, I have also found defensive Arcanine to be very effective. Like you said... Roar halts set-up (and racks up hazard damage), Intimidate + Will-O-Wisp make it very physically bulky, and it also possesses reliable recovery!

So basically, I can also attest to its effectiveness on stall-based teams.

I've been using this on a balanced team for a brief while; mind you it wasn't the best team but I can see its uses as a defensive Fire-type. Namely, Intimidate (which is more useful than ever imo), healing and spreading WoW. I think I can sign off on using defensive Arcanine in OU, though it's fairly niche.

I don't see any merit to adding the offensive set though.
