Thank you! I cleaned up the overview to more closely match a pros/cons list. All of your other changes have been implemented as well. After re-reading the E-Belt analysis, I thought it did indeed share far too many similarities to the Choice sets (especially Specs) to have its own entry. Thus, I've added it as extras in the set details as you recommended

However, I did like alexwolf's suggestion to give the E-belt set an EV spread that at the very least outruns max speed Scizor. I decided to add this as another option for the Specs set, mainly because it lets Rotom-H utilize a Modest nature for those that like maximum power on their specs users.

I should have the written version up in around a day or so.

I'm surprised this hasn't gotten a 3rd QC check since it's pretty much done! I think OO on the Defensive set could stand to be split up a bit more as it reads a bit lengthy right now but otherwise it seems good to go. I'll definitely try out Rotom-H in the future

Yeah, OO could serve to be cleaned up a bit, I agree. Rotom-H has a pretty expansive movepool (with the exception of a more reliable Fire-type move...), and I tried to cover most of its somewhat-viable options. Some of the things could probably stand to be taken out though (even a power-doubled hex is outdamaged by STAB Thunderbolt), but I'm not too keen on what exactly is unnecessary for the reader to know. I'm gonna wait on QC's opinion to see if I have to change anything, they're more familiar with what should and shouldn't be in the OO section.

EDIT as of February 17th: All mentions to Genesect and Mega Lucario have been deleted.

All right, so the new strategy dex is going up very soon and there are several Pokemon, including this one, that do not currently have completed analyses. CyclicCompound, if you could please try to make this look presentable within the next day, that would be helpful. Please contact user darkie once you've made it look presentable (by that I mean "acceptable to be on-site") and refer to and update this pirate pad: https://www.piratepad.ca/p/dex_skeletons

This needs to be done by tomorrow afternoon (GMT -6), so make sure you get it done! If you can't make it look presentable in the next day, please say so in the pirate pad so someone else can make a quick skeleton of it. Thanks!

darkie, this has been fully written up, all references to Genesect and Mega Lucario have been removed, and I read through the entire analysis to make sure there were no major grammar or spelling errors. If anything else needs to be changed, let me know and I'll be more than happy to oblige.

Just a minor update: moved defensive set to first position (way more useful than scarf/specs), fixed up my noob-era writing a bit, and made more reference to Thundurus, who can be checked fairly well.

Hey that first set...it's listed as 252 HP / 252 Def / 4SpD CALM. Was that supposed to be Bold?

Defensive Team Options
You mention various team archetypes that enjoy the presence of Rotom-H, as well as classifications such as "setup sweepers", "hole punchers", and "defensive Pokemon". You also mention Rapid Spin and Defog support, as well as Pokemon that can take on Tyranitar. I'd like it if you could mention some examples as such, as while the role it plays with these Pokemon is very detailed, there isn't exactly a clear understanding on which teammates work well specifically with Rotom-H. Try to also think of Pokemon that make good partners from a synergistic point of view. For example, Keldeo can comfortably beat Tyranitar, which you specified was a problem for Rotom-H, and in return, Rotom-H can wall and/or weaken Talonflame, which gives Keldeo trouble with its priority Brave Bird.

Other Options
You mention that Dragon-types are arguably more common than Gastrodon, Quagsire, and Swampert, which isn't the case, a large amount of Dragon-types are used more that Quagsire, which is the most relevant Pokemon in that statement, the other two are barely seen. Targets such as Garchomp and Dragonite are much more common and as such, the word arguably should be removed.

Checks and Counters
I'd like to see some examples of faster offensive Pokemon that can KO Rotom-H, of which there are plenty. Add examples of Taunt users as well.

QC APPROVED 3/3

I think that the choice sets should be removed. Rotom-H is a fairly bad choice user due to its SR weakness and inconsistent STAB move, not to mention that its generally outclassed by Rotom-W in this role.

Overview
########

Rotom-H has usually been regarded as being a lesser Rotom-W. Due to its Possessing a weakness to Stealth Rock and a worse less useful STAB combination, it's not hard to see why this has been so. In addition, as a Fire-type, Rotom-H faces immense competition from Heatran as well, who boasts a much better defensive typing and offers far more flexibility in its support options. However, Rotom-H does have its merits. It possesses eight resistances and one immunity, compared to Rotom-W's six, and has a Fire-type STAB attack that destroys many of Rotom-W’(-Curly)'(+Straight)s usual counters. Certain threats alike are handled much better by Rotom-H than by Rotom-W, including Talonflame, Mega Pinsir, Mega Charizard Y, Thundurus, Aegislash, Ferrothorn, Latias, and Celebi. In comparison to Heatran, Rotom-H gains an immunity to the Ground-type moves that destroy Heatran, and handles Water-types much better than Heatran does with a momentum-grabbing Volt Switch. Keep these niches in mind and you’(-Curly)'(+Straight)ll find a Pokemon that is neither outclassed nor overshadowed by anything else.

Defensive
########
name: Defensive
move 1: Overheat
move 2: Volt Switch
move 3: Will-O-Wisp
move 4: Pain Split / Rest
ability: Levitate
item: Leftovers / Chesto Berry
nature: Bold
evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD

Moves
========

Despite Rotom-H's defensive nature, Overheat remains its main STAB move of choice to threaten most of the Pokemon it counters. Volt Switch provides momentum and switching utility; with Rotom-H's greatly increased longevity, more opportunities to use Volt Switch will arise. Will-O-Wisp cripples many of the attackers that may try to switch into Rotom-H, such as Garchomp and Tyranitar. Finally, Pain Split is one of two choices Rotom-H has for recovery, putting it to decent use with a low HP stat of 50. However, Rest provides a much more thorough form of recovery than Pain Split, particularly in removing the effects of Toxic, at the cost of practically forcing Rotom-H to carry Chesto Berry (and therefore only working reliably one time). However, it is also possible to run a second status move in place of the recovery slot. Thunder Wave is better for offensive teams looking to outspeed many of Rotom-H's faster switch-ins, whereas Toxic deals with Rotom-W much more efficiently than Will-O-Wisp does, and has better synergy with defensive teams.

Set Details
========

A physically defensive spread of 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD lets Rotom-H take on many of the physical attackers it walls, including Talonflame and Mega Pinsir. However, a specially defensive spread is equally viable, allowing Rotom-H to take on attackers like Thundurus and Mega Charizard Y better, and the choice of a spread is really up to what the team needs most. Note, however, that +2 Mega Pinsir can OHKO Rotom-H after Stealth Rock if a physically defensive spread is not used. Leftovers gives Rotom-H a reliable long-term mode of recovery, healing the chip damage that may be incurred from switching into something it walls, or partially making up for the presence of Stealth Rock. However, if Rest is being used, Chesto Berry is the best option, essentially giving it a second chance at life.

Usage Tips
========

With a defensive build, Rotom-H can very easily come in on attackers, especially against ones that are already at a severe type disadvantage. Unlike many defensive Pokemon, it can force most of them out, threatening with one of its STAB attacks or a status move. Because of this, it's essential to have Stealth Rock up on the opponent's side, as many of the Pokemon Rotom-H counters, such as Talonflame and Mega Charizard Y, will be taking massive damage from it. The durability of this Rotom-H makes it very easy for attackers to incur entry hazard damage over the course of a match. Furthermore, prediction against incoming switch-ins is key with this Rotom-H: a timely burn or a smart Volt Switch can easily turn the tide of a battle in your favor. This Rotom-H excels at playing mind games with the opponent, as its wide range of functions and increased utility make it a very relevant defensive threat to many attackers.

Team Options
========

Like with the other sets, Rapid Spin or Defog support is crucial, as Rotom-H cannot perform its defensive duties well if it is taking 25% damage each time it switches in. Powerful, hole-punching Pokemon like such as Azumarrill or setup sweepers like such as Calm Mind Landorus love Rotom-H because it is great at reliably gaining momentum throughout the course of a match, presenting offensive Pokemon with great opportunities to set up or attack. In addition, setup sweepers and defensive Pokemon like such as Skarmory alike will also appreciate the reduced damage output from a burnt opponent. However, if being used on a defensive team, teammates must be able to handle powerful physical Fire-types such as Mega Charizard X, as they cannot be burnt. Teammates should also be able to handle Pokemon like such as Tyranitar who can easily switch in on anything bar Will-O-Wisp and hit Rotom-H for super effective damage. Since Because Rotom-H handles Talonflame extremely well, Pokemon who are vulnerable to being revenge killed by it will easily appreciate Rotom-H’(-Curly)'(+Straight)s support. Keldeo is a great teammate in this regard, especially considering it easily takes out Tyranitar, who poses a major threat to Rotom-H.

Choice Scarf
########
name: Choice Scarf
move 1: Overheat
move 2: Volt Switch
move 3: Hidden Power Ice / Thunderbolt
move 4: Trick / Thunderbolt
ability: Levitate
item: Choice Scarf
nature: Timid
evs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Moves
========

Unfortunately, the inconsistent Overheat is Rotom-H's only Fire-type STAB, and cannot be replaced. However, it is far stronger than any of Rotom-H's other attacks, boosting its viability greatly, and meshes well with this Rotom-H's hit-and-run nature. Volt Switch is functionally Rotom-H's most important move, as it allows Rotom-H to safely scout the opponent's team and quickly get Rotom-H itself out of a bad situation. Hidden Power Ice gives Rotom-H the power ability to revenge kill popular offensive Pokemon such as Garchomp and Landorus, even outspeeding +1 Dragonite thanks to the Choice Scarf. However, its low power means the aforementioned threats will need to have taken some prior damage for a clean OHKO. Thunderbolt, on the other hand, dishes out a much stronger hit than Volt Switch to foes like such as Jellicent or and Togekiss, as they can simply recover the damage taken from Volt Switch. In addition, it lets Rotom-H stay in battle with a STAB attack, which Volt Switch and Overheat do not allow for. Finally, Trick lets Rotom-H permanently cripple the walls that aim to stop it, namely Chansey and Sylveon.

Set Details
========

The given EVs maximize its Special Attack and Speed, the two most important stats for this set's success. A Timid nature lets Rotom-H speed tie with +1 Rotom-W and outspeed +1 Jolly Dragonite and +1 Adamant Excadrill. A slightly bulkier spread of 108 HP / 176 SpA / 224 Spe with a Timid nature lets Rotom-H survive Choice Band Azumarill's Aqua Jet from full health, and outspeeds +1 Mega Gyarados, Mega Alakazam, and Mega Aerodactyl. If more power is desired, a Modest nature guarantees a OHKO on Dragonite with Hidden Power Ice after Stealth Rock, but keep in mind this prevents Rotom-H from outspeeding all of the aforementioned threats, so it generally isn't worth it.

Usage Tips
========

Rotom-H can be brought out against the Pokemon it walls, such Thundurus and Talonflame, taking minimal damage and immediately threatening them. This Scarf Rotom-H also functions as a great revenge killer, threatening many popular offensive Pokemon such as Mega Pinsir with one of its STABs or coverage moves after a teammate faints. In addition, Rotom-H functions as an excellent lead, using Volt Switch to gain early momentum. Overheat is usually a powerful move to spam should Volt Switch be a poor choice; however, one must be extremely wary of being locked into Overheat against Heatran or setup sweepers such as Calm Mind Keldeo or Dragon Dance Dragonite.

Team Options
========

Due to this Rotom-H's hit-and-run nature, Rapid Spin or Defog support is crucial to prevent Rotom-H from being worn down. Good Rapid Spin or Defog users to pair with Rotom-H include Empoleon, Latias, Mega Blastoise, Starmie, Tentacruel, and bulky variants of Scizor, as all share decent synergy with Rotom-H. Pokemon with Volt Switch or U-turn can easily form a VoltTurn core with Rotom-H, as it matches well with common users of the strategy such as Landorus and Scizor. Finally, teammates that attract resisted moves or threats such as Ferrothorn or Talonflame are great for Rotom-H, as smart plays will let Rotom-H easily grab momentum with Volt Switch or fire off powerful Overheats.

Other Options
########

If Quagsire or the rarely seen Gastrodon and Swampert are a major concern, Hidden Power Grass can be used over Hidden Power Ice, seeing as Rotom-H is such a great lure for these Pokemon. However, this is not recommended because it leaves Rotom-H extremely vulnerable to many Dragon-types, which are more common and more important for Rotom-H to target. Hex is another option Rotom-H possesses, becoming a 130 Base Power move when the opponent is afflicted with a status condition. Although Rotom-H typically has no trouble inflicting status, its low speed and lack of STAB on the move discourage the use of Hex, along with the fact that Rotom-H is hard-pressed enough to run more than one status move, let alone another attack. Similarly to Hex, Electro Ball has the potential to work in tandem with paralysis. However, Rotom-H is still held back from its aforementioned faults, along with the fact that some of Rotom-H's most popular switch-ins, particularly Rotom-W and Garchomp, are totally immune. Rotom-H can utilize Sunny Day with Heat Rock to be a reliable, bulky sun setter and abuser that resists and gets STAB on Fire-type moves, is immune to Ground-type moves, and has STAB coverage against Water-types, a combination of traits unexhibited in other sun setters. Rotom-H can also utilize dual screens and a slow Volt Switch to aid its teammates in setting up. Electroweb is a unique option that lets a full invested Rotom-H outspeed anything under fully invested 150 base Speed. However Unfortunately, it is an extremely weak move, and Rotom-H would usually rather switch out with Volt Switch. However, Electroweb can be good for forcing switches, especially if entry hazards are up. Finally, Rotom-H can use Assault Vest to become an even more effective special tank. However, a complete lack of recovery coupled with a Stealth Rock weakness is extremely bad for a defensive Pokemon, and the support required to keep Rotom-H alive may not be worth it.

Checks & Counters
########

**Special Walls**: Rotom-H can barely touch most special walls, with Toxic being the only somewhat viable option on the defensive set to combat them. However, offensive sets are still hopelessly walled by the likes of Sylveon and Chansey, their best option being Trick (which, in the end, does not prevent them from continuing to be walled.)

**SpeediFaster Offensive Pokemon**: Non-Choice Scarf scarf variants of Rotom-H must watch out for many of the faster offensive Pokemon that have the typing or coverage to rip Rotom-H apart before it has a chance to move. Nearly anything that Rotom-H doesn't obviously wall will carry something that can hurt it. Greninja, offensive Tyranitar, and Keldeo all fall under this category.

**Mold Breaker**: Mold Breaker Earthquakes from the likes of Excadrill and Haxorus will absolutely shred Rotom-H, blazing past Levitate. It is extremely important that you look for the telltale "________ breaks the mold!" warning when a possible user is sent out.

**Taunt**: Although Taunt by itself is not a huge issue for Rotom-H, and is barely a concern for offensive variants, it can easily prevent defensive Rotom-H from healing or checking sweepers with Will-O-Wisp or healing, which can be extremely problematic. Common users include Thundurus, who can potentially muscle through Rotom-H with the aid of Taunt.

**Bulky Setup Sweepers**: Bulky setup sweepers, primarily Fire-types such as Quiver Dance Volcarona and Mega Charizard X, will take a pittance from any of Rotom-H's attacks and cannot be worn down without the aid of Toxic.

Nice work, CyclicCompound! There were very few errors.

Comments:
Messed with your overview a bit;the first sentence is true enough that it can stand on its own, but I felt the improved flow overall there made it worth fusing with your other sentence, also 'why this has been so' sounds much worse than just why. But this is a judgement call you should be making too.

In the part about its resistances versus rotom-w:There was no good way to say that rotom-w has levitate too, so I changed it to just not mention that Rotom-H has levitate;you mention it later and it's irrelevant right there as both rotom-w and rotom-h have it. If you want, you could just put it in a sentence right afterwards, as it is pretty relevant to Rotom-h's great defensive typing.

The parantheses part about chesto berry sort of implies that you could use Rest reliably more times without Chesto Berry, which is why I changed it. Unless you're talking about Rest+Sleep Talk as the alternative, but that's almost the definition of unreliable and even then the problem isn't so much chestorest as your need for 3 other moves.

Double However there. Gotta keep in mind you need something to be saying however TO;in addition to the repitition the second usage didn't really make much sense anyways.

"Can" OHKO kind of sounds like there's a chance that it might not. I get what sense you were using it in, but it is a bit misleading.

"Rotom-H can easily come in on attackers" is kind of an ill-considered statement, because there are many attackers it can't come in on, and many more it can't come in on easily.

It's a bit premature to talk about 'other sets' on the first set, yah?

So why again is Rotom-H better than Rotom-W vs Talonflame? It resist U-turn, sure, but Rotom-W can deal much better with SD/Roost variants, as Talonflame can use priority Roost to avoid an SE Volt Switch. Also, with Genesect banned, its niche had become very small imo.

Quoting from the overview: "Certain threats alike are handled much better by Rotom-H than by Rotom-W, including Talonflame, Mega Pinsir, Mega Charizard Y, Thundurus, Aegislash, Ferrothorn, Latias, and Celebi."

I understand that is is better at handling Mega Pinsir (to some extent, as Volt Switch does 63.9 - 75.7% and WoW cripples it anyway) MegaZard Y, Thundurus, Aegislash (although a smart player could use King's Shield on the Overheat) and bulky Grass types, but what advantages does it have over Rotom-W when dealing with Talonflame and Latias/Latios? Not saying it's wrong in the overview, I'm just curious.

Rotom-H resists or is immune to nearly everything that Talonflame could conceivably carry (Brave Bird, Flare Blitz, Will-o-Wisp, U-turn, Natural Gift Grass/Ground, etc). On the other hand, Rotom-W is susceptible to Will-o-Wisp, U-turn, and the extremely rare (but situationally effective) Natural Gift Grass. Latias commonly uses Thunderbolt for coverage, which Rotom-H resists but Rotom-W does not, making it slightly harder for Latias/Latios to take down Rotom-H.

Note that King's Shield does NOT trigger Overheat's SpA drop.

Overview
########
Rotom-H has usually been regarded as a lesser Rotom-W, mostly due to its weakness to Stealth Rock and less useful STAB combination, it's not hard to see why this has been so. In addition, as a Fire-type, Rotom-H faces immense competition from Heatran as well, who which boasts a much better defensive typing and offers far more flexibility in its support options. However, Rotom-H does have its merits. It possesses eight resistances and one immunity, compared to Rotom-W's six, and has a Fire-type STAB attack that destroys many of Rotom-W's usual counters. Keep these niches in mind and you'll find a Pokemon that is neither outclassed nor overshadowed by anything else.

Defensive
########
name: Defensive
move 1: Overheat
move 2: Volt Switch
move 3: Will-O-Wisp
move 4: Pain Split / Rest
ability: Levitate
item: Leftovers / Chesto Berry
nature: Bold
evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD

Moves
========

Despite Rotom-H's defensive nature, Overheat remains its main STAB move of choice to threaten most of the Pokemon it counters. Volt Switch provides momentum and switching utility; with Rotom-H's greatly increased longevity, more opportunities to use Volt Switch will arise. Will-O-Wisp cripples many of the attackers that may might try to switch into Rotom-H, such as Garchomp and Tyranitar. Finally, Pain Split is one of two choices Rotom-H has for recovery, putting it to decent use with a low HP stat of 50. However, Rest provides a much more thorough form of recovery than Pain Split, particularly in removing the effects of Toxic, at the cost of practically forcing Rotom-H to carry Chesto Berry (and therefore only working reliably once time). However, it is also possible to run a second status move in place of the recovery slot. Thunder Wave is better for offensive teams looking to outspeed many of Rotom-H's faster switch-ins, whereas Toxic deals with Rotom-W much more efficiently than Will-O-Wisp does, (RC) and has better synergy with defensive teams.

Set Details
========

Leftovers gives Rotom-H a reliable long-term mode method of recovery, healing the chip damage that may might be incurred from switching into something it walls, (RC) or partially and making up for the presence of Stealth Rock in particular. However, if Rest is being used, Chesto Berry is the best option, essentially giving it Rotom-H a second chance at life.

Usage Tips
========

With a defensive build, Rotom-H can very easily come in on attackers, especially against ones that are already at a severe type disadvantage. Unlike many defensive Pokemon, it can force most of them out, threatening them with one of its STABs attacks or a status move. Furthermore, prediction against incoming switch-ins is key with this Rotom-H; (SC) a timely burn or a smart Volt Switch can easily turn the tide of a battle in your favor. This Rotom-H excels at playing mind games with the opponent, as its wide range of functions and increased utility make it a very relevant defensive threat to many attackers.

Team Options
========

Like with the other sets, Rapid Spin or Defog support is crucial, as Rotom-H cannot perform its defensive duties well if it is taking 25% damage each time it switches in. Powerful, hole-punching Pokemon such as Azumarill or setup sweepers such as Calm Mind Landorus love Rotom-H because it is great at reliably gaining momentum throughout the course of a match, presenting offensive Pokemon with great opportunities to set up or attack. In addition, setup sweepers and defensive Pokemon such as Skarmory will also appreciate the reduced damage output from a burned opponent. However, if being used on a defensive team, teammates must be able to handle powerful physical Fire-types such as Mega Charizard X, as they cannot be burnt. Teammates should also be able to handle Pokemon such as Tyranitar who that can easily switch in on anything bar Will-O-Wisp and hit Rotom-H for super effective damage. Because Rotom-H handles Talonflame extremely well, Pokemon who that are vulnerable to being revenge killed by it will easily appreciate Rotom-H's support. Keldeo is a great teammate in this regard, especially considering it easily takes out Tyranitar, a major threat to Rotom-H.

Choice Scarf
########
name: Choice Scarf
move 1: Overheat
move 2: Volt Switch
move 3: Hidden Power Ice / Thunderbolt
move 4: Trick / Thunderbolt
ability: Levitate
item: Choice Scarf
nature: Timid
evs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Moves
========

Unfortunately, the inconsistent Overheat is Rotom-H's only Fire-type STAB, and cannot be replaced. However, it is far stronger than any of Rotom-H's other attacks, boosting its viability greatly, and meshes well with this Rotom-H's set's hit-and-run nature. Volt Switch is functionally Rotom-H's most important move, as it allows Rotom-H to safely scout the opponent's team and quickly get itself out of a bad situation. Hidden Power Ice gives Rotom-H the ability to revenge kill popular offensive Pokemon such as Garchomp and Landorus, even outspeeding +1 Dragonite thanks to the Choice Scarf. However, its low power means the aforementioned threats will need to have taken some prior damage for a clean OHKO. Thunderbolt, on the other hand, dishes out a much stronger hit than Volt Switch to foes such as Togekiss, as they can otherwise simply recover the damage taken from Volt Switch. In addition, it lets Rotom-H stay in battle with a STAB attack, which Volt Switch and Overheat do not allow. Finally, Trick lets Rotom-H permanently cripple the walls that aim to stop it, namely Chansey and Sylveon.

Set Details
========

The given EVs maximize its Rotom-H's Special Attack and Speed, the two most important stats for this set's success. A Timid nature lets Rotom-H Speed tie with +1 Rotom-W and outspeed +1 Jolly Dragonite and +1 Adamant Excadrill. A slightly bulkier spread of 108 HP / 176 SpA / 224 Spe with a Timid nature lets Rotom-H survive Choice Band Azumarill's Aqua Jet from full health, and outspeeds +1 Mega Gyarados, Mega Alakazam, and Mega Aerodactyl. Since all of these aren't at +1, I'd rearrange it so mega gyarados is in the back, so the +1 might not be confused to be on all. If more power is desired, a Modest nature guarantees an OHKO on Dragonite with Hidden Power Ice after Stealth Rock, but keep in mind this prevents Rotom-H from outspeeding all of the aforementioned threats, so it generally isn't worth it.

Usage Tips
========

Rotom-H can be brought out against the Pokemon it walls, such Thundurus and Talonflame, taking minimal damage and immediately threatening them. This Scarf Rotom-H also functions as a great revenge killer, threatening many popular offensive Pokemon such as Mega Pinsir with one of its STAB or coverage moves after a teammate faints.

========

Due to this Rotom-H's set's hit-and-run nature, Rapid Spin or Defog support is crucial to prevent Rotom-H from being worn down.

Electroweb is a unique option that lets a fully invested Rotom-H outspeed anything under fully invested base 150 base Speed. Unfortunately, it is an extremely weak move, and Rotom-H would usually rather switch out with Volt Switch. However, Electroweb can be good for forcing switches, especially if entry hazards are up. Choice Specs allows Rotom-H to punch holes in the opponent's team, but the inconsistency of Rotom-H's STABs are simply not worth the extra power.

**Faster Offensive Pokemon**: Non-Choice Scarf variants of Rotom-H must watch out for many of the faster offensive Pokemon that have the typing or coverage to rip Rotom-H apart before it has a chance to move. Nearly anything that Rotom-H doesn't obviously wall will carry something that can hurt it. Greninja, offensive Tyranitar, and Keldeo all fall under this category.

**Mold Breaker**: Mold Breaker Earthquake from the likes of Excadrill and Haxorus will absolutely shred Rotom-H, blazing hitting past Levitate. It is extremely important that you look for the telltale "________ breaks the mold!" warning when a possible user is sent out.

**Taunt**: Although Taunt by itself is not a huge issue for Rotom-H, and is barely a concern for offensive variants, it can easily prevent defensive Rotom-H from healing or checking sweepers with Will-O-Wisp, which can be extremely problematic. Common users include Thundurus-T, who which can potentially muscle through Rotom-H with the aid of Taunt.

**Bulky Setup Sweepers**: Bulky setup sweepers, primarily Fire-types such as Quiver Dance Volcarona and Mega Charizard X, will take a pittance from any of Rotom-H's attacks and cannot be worn down without the aid of Toxic.

I realize that this analysis is already done, but in the c&c sections, i have my doubts on taunt against the defensive set.
Why taunt? The only real taunt user that can take attacks from the defensive set well enough after taunting is mega gardevoir, BU talon and tran:

4 SpA Rotom-H Volt Switch vs. 248 HP / 252 SpD Talonflame: 158-188 (44 - 52.3%) -- 14.5% chance to 2HKO
(Roost to remove flying typing for the turn, so you take half of that)

4 SpA Rotom-H Overheat vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Mega Gardevoir: 114-135 (41 - 48.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
You're one of the strongest checks to mega gardevoir around lol.

Rotom-h is volt switching out on tran regardless, and taunt doesn't exactly help with that.
gengar and thundurus do not enjoy eating overheat (nor do they have reliable recovery), and there aren't a lot of other common and relevant taunt users from there. (Gyara , Keldeo, Terrakion has no reason to taunt when they can just kill)
Why mandibuzz and skarm are using taunt on rotom-h I'll never know.

Besides, you just volt switch out, and you're free from taunt right there! A lot of ground types risk taking a powerful overheat (Lando-T, Exca) or can't do too much to you in the first place (Hippo, Mamo)
So basically, taunt only helps if you can prevent rotom-h from volt switching out right after, which means you need a ground type that doesn't mind overheat and can deal with it. Sooo, you need subtoxic gliscor or quagsire to actually abuse the rotom-h that you've just taunted.
.......

Yeah, i'd like to see taunt out of c&c :/

Well, think of it this way.

Sableye and Thundurus are both common users of Taunt that Rotom-H would love to switch into. You can throw the occasional Skarmory and/or Mandibuzz in that group too. If you switch in on a Taunt, they essentially get a free switch-in to stuff like Tyranitar, Garchomp, Landorus-T, the list goes on... basically, by neutering your ability to use Will-O-Wisp, you open yourself up to a lot more attackers.

Yes, it's true that not many Taunt users will ever wish to take on Rotom-H, but Rotom-H hates getting hit by Taunt anyway.

Wow can't believe i forgot friggin chomp.

But the point is, it's not a free switch-in to tyranitar or anything at all. Rotom-H just volt switches right back out, and you end up losing momentum instead.
And a lot of ground types that block volt switch are too afraid of overheat/can't do anything to rotom-h in the first place.

So, what makes taunt a bad check to rotom-h is that you need a gliscor (sub toxic), quagsire, or garchomp to actually take advantage of it. That's way too restrictive to actually be in the c&c section.

I'd still like to keep it unless I hear a more convincing argument. The fact of the matter is that a taunted Rotom-H is often an ineffective one.
