Previously posted on the Flash Clash thread, featuring Poison Touch Fire Punch Muk. Fine for coverage I suppose, and the logic may have been to stick two secondary effects onto one move...except look at the opponent.

RE: The above post

I don't think I can ever get tired of seeing both Porygons on one team, was hoping the guy would have stuck around to get his ass beat.

GeoXern setting up on Toxic Chansey, type chart issues peaking in turn 12, and the infamous Eruption Typhlosion.

No, no, you're supposed to use Encore before Disable. Also, double priority Dragonite.

This is why most Dragon teams in Monotype have a Fire Blast user or something like that. Ferrothorn kills Garchomp and Kyurem-B and cripples Mega Latias before finally going down.

Now this, I must say, is creative. Not to mention a big middle finger to all the Ambipoms out there.

SubCM Darkrai is actually niche. The other Darkrai, not so much. Throw in a terrible Beedrill and a Xerneas that isn't much better, and you have this.

It's one thing to get swept by a joke set. It's another to make plays like that (specifically, turns 4 and 5) in response.

Never mind team preview, right's "team" should have never seen the light of day in the first place.

Metronome war, with BH rules for added hilarity. Then Imprison happens... and actually manages to work against the Imprison user.

No, they were correct with the ordering of the encore+disable. They just had no reason to expect a meme like Aqua jet.

Groundceus smites a bad RU team. Also, Turn 5.

Let's play a game. It's called "find what went wrong in this AG match because InvisibleWater can't count that high!"

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-366979196
(L) GeoXern with Roar
(L) Offensive Whimsicott with Focus Sash
(L) Whimsicott in general
(L) Lugia with Lum Berry
(R) No, changing your type to Poison won't cure it, but that Mega Mewtwo Y will make sure that that's the least of your problems
(L) Spamming Psystrike against a Giratina (I'm pretty sure Mewtwo can learn Ice Beam)

It's my understanding that the set uses Encore to lock the foe into a move, then Disable it and force Struggle.
This is true. However, Alakazam is fast enough that it can outspeed, and Alakazam is 2hkod by extreme speed. Outrage, meanwhile, can't Ohio it. If it encores first, it runs the risk of just being espeeded twice and losing.

Psytrike is stronger vs ghosts than ice beam due to base power and stab. In this case it's Giratina, but then the operating word is dragon and there are plenty of viable mewtwo sets that do not run ice beam.
Finally, why did the type change matter? It's not like mmy wasn't ohkoing anyway.

  • Mega Charizard X using Dragon Claw on Clefable. It was also mixed with Flamethrower and Blast Burn.
  • Magikarp, thinking that getting STAB on Tackle will make it less useless. But Clefable is a Ghost-type as well.
  • Non-Mega Pidgeot with both Brave Bird and Air Slash. It also used Agility while paralyzed.
  • Sliggoo (no Goodra?), who used Draco Meteor on Clefable.
  • Non-Mega Heracross using Bullet Seed (no Skill Link) and non-STAB Brick Break and Close Combat on Clefable (read second bullet).
  • Raichu.

Braixen.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-367809731

first of all, don't ask about the roseli berry. this was not a serious team. i updated it later.

second, this was fine until..well..
The opposing Cackletta knocked off Clefable's Eviolite!

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-367816150

Not just chatot, but acrobatics mega sceptile...

It actually did 10% damage. i'm impressed.

Yes, those teams are very silly. 6 klefkis would probably lose, however, due to the magic called switching (between Xerneas and steelix). On the other hand, they didn't seem experienced enough to think of that...

That isn't even the worst part of the battle (not just saying that because of Braixen bias, even I know not to use it in competitive ever outside of my PU team where I'm only using it because lol). The worst part of it is the level 82 Chesnaught for no explainable reason
That was level 82? i didn't even notice. holy crap.

sooo, i'm gonna need someone to tell me if special salamence is a thing.

I am sorry for bringing up a Ubers Battle but the start was hilarious.

"Charizard's Charizardite Y is reacting to Veteran Mike's Mega Bracelet!
Charizard has Mega Evolved into Mega Charizard!
[Charizard's Drought!]
The sunlight turned harsh!

Charizard used Sunny Day!
But it failed!"

Only one of many things that were wrong..

He's doing it again: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ubers-368156470
My guess is he's trying to account for other weathers. Of course, this is useless if Rayquaza or Primal Kyogre show up.

Edit: Either that, or he wants to replenish his own sun when it runs out. Good luck living that long, though.

★Shotaro 483:ahasulahnsdbsacfknsjcneajsnwushncjasbnujcubhsjkc

The opposing Gardevoir used Confusion!

at least he was polite about it after his incredibly rude comment in watermelon speak.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-368239369

well, to start off, Shadow ball normal kyurem, what looks like normal glalie since his charizard is mega...
but then, it happened. i lost all faith in humanity at that moment.

The opposing Charizard used Beat Up!

i didn't know what to do. i tried in vain to call out to him, to ask why he chose this path.

but to no avail.

That night, Coolo was found overdosed on cheeto dust.
This post is dedicated to Coolo. RIP in pasta.

he IS the mega pidgeot. he has become one with it. he achieved this form from snorting cheeto dust. However, this isn't even his final form. he shall soon ascend beyond our earthly realm. Shotaro shall purge the weak, and reward the strong

in all seriousness, quote of the year right there.

Good chat.

I've got some Low level AG games here:

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-368224533
various cover legendaries+ frenzy plant torterra not to mention mewtwo staying in on foul play

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-368220713
don't know how his team was supposed to work, but i'm kind of curious...

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-368220026
is magic coat sylvion a thing now? anyways, using duoblade in AG seems suboptimal, and keeping it in on a known fowl play user does too

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-368218062
FEAR ratta backfires. The scary part is that he won with this team before. also:
Rattata used Quick Attack!
It's not very effective... The opposing Klefki lost 0% of its health!
