I'm not sure if this counts as an 'other metagame,' but I often play Random Battle when I'm bored.

And one of the silliest things I've seen in the Random Battle gamemode is how it's actually possible to get a Rotom-Fan with an Air Balloon.

If the problem is not immediately obvious, let me explain:
Rotom-Fan is Electric/Flying. ---> Ground Immunity
Air Balloon ---> Ground Immunity
Levitate ---> Ground Immunity

Why do you need triple Ground Immunity? This is so silly!
Yeah...always..dat rotom is just being way too overprotective

Still that 30% accuracy tho.
Hey, the chance of Sheer Cold hitting twice in a row is the same as the chance of Focus Blast missing twice in a row, assuming the RNG is any good (as in, not inherently biased towards high or low numbers). And we all know that happens often enough.

eh honestly focus blast does not feel like it has 70% accuracy lol when i use it it misses most of the time.

so i was testing out something you may or may not see later after i edit some things, and i found contrary nasty plot focus band sceptile.

Contrary Nasty Plot... that transcends silly and enters the realm of just plain stupid.

Fake Tears+Stored Power Espeon receives 4 boosts and still can't 2HKO Ferrothorn. Later, HP Fire on everything, and, speaking of transcending silly, my personal favorite: Meloetta using Perish Song while it was the only mon left on its team.

So Aqua Jet Dragonite and Aqua Tail Mega Garchomp are things now?

You've copied your opponent's Gengar, and your opponent is running mono Poison. I think there are better choices than Dazzling Gleam. Later, defensive Staraptor shows up.

"The One" Bibarel to rule them all. I guess.

While I see what this guy was trying to do, you have to be slow for it to work properly.

And what did you expect would happen with Stealth Rock being everywhere?

The bane of Metronome wars everywhere: Sacrificial moves.

You know what's worse than an Eeveelution team? Two of them facing each other. You know what's worse than that? These sets. Attract (remember, Eeveelutions are 87.5% male). Heat Wave against Flareon and Vaporeon. Solarbeam with no sun/Power Herb. Dig Umbreon. Air Balloon Sylveon. Berry Juice Espeon. HYPER BEAM EVERYWHERE. And others.

Did it have trick? That's usually what they run with ballon

— Fairy Wind/Moonblast/Draining Kiss Sylveon (Moonblast/Draining Kiss on the same set is almost understandable, but still silly. Fairy Wind? Just don't.)

— Solar Beam Leafeon (because 60 base Sp. Atk is so good right? Seriously, don't ever put Solar Beam on Leafeon unless you're in some weirdstat OM.)

— Aerial Ace Leafeon not targeting the opposing Leafeon, and also not just hitting the opposing Vaporeon with Leaf Blade.

— In an Eeveelution team which you know will be fighting another Eeveelution team, putting Attract on a male Eeveelution.

— Espeon using Shadow Ball on a foe it hits neutrally. If you can't hit the foe SE, use STAB!

— Jolteon trying to use Double Kick on Umbreon while Umbreon is underground. Does nobody understand speed stats?

— Apicot Berry Umbreon. (Seriously, don't use those "raise a stat 1 stage when under 1/4 HP" berries without either Harvest, Cheek Pouch, or Gluttony! And if using Harvest, also make sure to have a self-healing move and Substitute, and have your max HP be divisible by 4!)

Or if you do, use Liechi, Petaya, or Salac Berry, so the increased stat will actually do something. Alternatively, Unburden works, as does Baton Pass.

Aggron-Mega used Shadow Sneak! Aggron-Mega's Protean made it the Ghost type! It doesn't affect Regigigas... Regigigas used Low Kick! It doesn't affect Aggron-Mega... Protean M-Aggron at its finest. Later, Hawlucha holding a Metronome and using Toxic Spikes.

Why 6 Clawitzer teams don't work.

Self-Destruct Mewtwo. That is all.

No comment.

How not to handle a team of solely FEAR Rattatas. Self-Destruct Genesect, anyone?

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-188634067
Self-Destuct Mewtwo guy returns. And you can probably imagine how that worked out.

very ancient post, but the rotom-s with balloon thing is actually an ancient joke that spans all the way back from BW, and it is indeed a jab at rotom's triple immunity to ground.

Speaking of those, what's the berry that raises a random stat by 2 stages? Anywho, I once saw a Harvest Trevenant set that was using that berry to basically be the equivalent of Moody. Substitute, Horn Leech, Leech Seed if I recall correctly. Now if only it learned Baton Pass.

You're thinking of Starf Berry. One time I tried a Harvest set with that in BH, too, except mine was supposed to Baton Pass. Didn't go so well

It looks like Japanese characters are no longer supported, thus I've romanized their names since the following replay. *cough* On topic, this team (or outline if you prefer, as two slots were missing) was no match for Miki (Slaking) and Ami (Shedinja). Also, why Earthquake when Thousand Arrows/Waves exist?

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-188723721
Another incomplete team (and playground for Ami).

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-188724634
Finally a complete team. This time, it's been Iori's (Mega Gengar) time to shine versus a team with a weird Aegislash set (just see by yourself).
