I think he thought that you weren't allowed to use moves that weren't from your 'mon's letter.
Yeah, that makes sense, since he wasn't bad or anything. Toxic Spikes Talonflame definitely has a surprise element to it.

The ratio of stupid thing to normal things is unusually high in Alphabet Cup. Which is bad for me because I have a pretty anti-meta team.

I didn't handle that Bayleef very well, to be honest.

Sorry for the double post, but just did a bunch of 1v1 battles with Imprison Transform Smeargle, and, well...

Some things to note about this battle.

-I 3-0'd him with my joke team
-My bayleef walled his entire team.
-Aerial ace on everything.
-Is it just me, or is it kinda sad that I managed to get 3 layers of spikes, stealth rocks, and 2 layers of tspikes with a quilladin?
-Copy and Paste his OU team and that's what he had.
-Wouldn't it be logical to send in the espeon (which was obviously unhacked) while I was setting up hazards? (probably had synchronize anyways)
-No defogers, stealth rockers, spikers, taunters, walls, rapid spinners, etc.
-Others will come out as obvious when you watch the replay.

Guys, I am watching a really, really crazy BH match. Here's a sneak peek of the replay.

Kyogre used Quiver Dance!
Kyogre's Special Attack rose!
Kyogre's Special Defense rose!
Kyogre's Speed rose!
The opposing Blissey woke up!

The opposing Blissey used Metronome!
Waggling a finger let it use Bolt Strike!
It's super effective! Kyogre lost 21% of its health!

Kyogre restored HP using its Poison Heal!

Edit:
Turn 26

Giratina, come back!

Go! Heatran!

The opposing Xerneas used Metronome!
Waggling a finger let it use Fairy Lock!
Error parsing: -activate|Battle: balancedhackmons|move: Fairy Lock
TypeError: Cannot call method 'getName' of null at Battle.runMinor (http://play.pokemonshowdown.com/js/battle.js?6563e274:4274:27)

I guess BH doesn't understand Fairy Lock. Also...

Xerneas used Taunt!
The opposing Shedinja fell for the taunt!

The opposing Shedinja can't use Spore after the taunt!

One turn later...

Xerneas used Parting Shot!
The opposing Shedinja's Attack fell!
The opposing Shedinja's Special Attack fell!

Xerneas, come back!

Go! Chansey!
Chansey transformed into Shedinja!
The opposing Shedinja has no moves left!

The opposing Shedinja used Struggle!
Chansey lost 3% of its health!
The opposing Shedinja lost 100% of its health!

The opposing Shedinja fainted!

Edit: HERE IT IS. THE GRANDDADDY OF ALL SILLY THINGS. METRONOME. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-95924227

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/alphabetcup-97517058 -- I'm just going to leave this here.
-Flame Charge Darmanitan
-Mat Block Greninja in Singles
-Flame Burst Mega Char Y (Air Slash is debatable, but what is it trying to hit, exactly?)
-Sending in Shiftry to take a priority V-create in the sun after I killed his Trevenant
-Aguav Berry
-Eject Button Shiftry
-Oh, and his Darmanitan had Bulldoze/EQ/Fire Fang/Flame Charge. Apparently someone doesn't know how Sheer Force works...
