Silly Things You've Seen In Other Metagames

Oh boy......here's a doozy of a battle.

- Pachirisu

- Iron Head Tyranitar who later in the battle forgets how levitate works.

- Light Screen / Flame Charge Gourgeist with a Maranga Berry

- Dark Pulse Rotom-W

- Sky Uppercut / Flamethrower Mega Blaziken

That's all I could get from this short battle.
Tyranitar had Dark Pulse too, and was holding a Soft Sand. And how about Giratina and Rotom-W being speed-tied? Tina was able to dodge two attacks with one use of Shadow Force, the lucky bastard.

AG is a bottomless mine of silly.
  • (L) Salamence with Flamethrower (not enough power, especially not in AG) and Brick Break (which hits what, exactly?), with which it broke a Blissey.
  • (R) Said Blissey had rocks, Charge Beam, and Defense Curl.
  • (L) Mega Blastoise with Hydro Pump (good) and Flash Cannon (which hits what, exactly?).
  • (L) Mega Charizard with Air Slash (grrr) and Flamethrower (conservative much?). That is, Charizard X.
  • (R) Two SwagPlayers, with Mega Sableye joining Klefki. Sab got Fire Blasted and then Air Slashed on the switch, though, only getting off the Swagger before dying. Klefki was more successful.
  • (L) Braviary using Zen Headbutt on Shedinja.
  • (R) Sheddy, who could've swept, DryPassing to...Ninjask. Now that's ironic. Said Ninjask had Night Slash, which certainly worked well.
  • (R) Sheddy, for its part, had Shadow Claw (good), Shadow Sneak (good) and... Confuse Ray. Wanna know something interesting? It gets Swagger.
  • (L) Torterra with Leaf Storm.
  • (L) So you've managed to trip Sheddy's Sash. You then proceed to...use Body Slam, then Leaf Storm, then Flash Cannon on it.
  • (L) At turn 30, the match mercifully ends. lest our favorite spirit Pokemon proceed to sweep.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/almostanyability-227120804
1. 4 Pokemon
2. Blissey
3. Blissey with Shed Skin
4. Offensive Blissey with Hidden Power, Hyper Voice and Focus Blast
5. Mixed Azumarill with Play Rough and Hyper Voice
That is all.
Cool team. Poison Heal works even if you're not badly poisoned, though. You only need one layer :)
Do these people not know the type chart? Even if Shed didn't get Wonder Guard, it's still immune to Normal.
That battle would be completely inexplicable if they did understand the type chart, or knew how to work a damage calculator. I suspect that both parties were, to a large extent, button-mashing during teambuilding and gameplay. Those are not moves made by people who know how to play Pokemon.

I like to think low-ladder teams are made by an RNG and the matches are played by Cleverbot. Sometimes, the matches actually go somewhere, but most of the time, it's just some inexplicably random shit.

Ah, good, we could use a AAA replay or two. Imagine what can raise when the gates are opened.

More from AG.
  • (L) Deoxys-N (!), itemless (!!), with Dark Pulse and Meteor Mash.
  • (L) Cofagarius out, Sableye in. Cue the trash talk. L calls R a (BAN ME PLEASE) for switching.
  • (L) Mega Mewtwo X using Double-Edge and Psychic on Sableye. And, for that, matter, switching into Sableye (but after a faint because that's the only way to switch you [BAN ME PLEASE]).
  • (R) Sableye with Foul Play (good), Will-O-Wisp (good), and...Fake Out. Well, it has its uses, mostly in Doubles, where Fake Out leads are quite common, but it's a lesser sight in Singles.
  • (R) Mega Banette with Phantom Force.
  • (L) Primal Groudon with Dragon Claw (um, hits Ground types?).
  • (L) Ragequit. Seriously, watch the battle; I shall not repeat what was said.
Here:
  • (L) Zoroark is present. Just an FYI for anybody wishing to add commentary to this battle. Zoroark is also sitting in the last slot.
  • (L) Meloetta with Perish Song, Sing (which actually hits a couple of times) and Drain Punch. Pretty sure no Relic Song, either.
  • (L) Shaymin-N. Skymin is legal and completely better.
  • (L) Togekiss with Air Slash (good), Thunder Wave (good), and Substitute (huh).
  • (L) Focus Blast used on a Gengar, also Thief on either Ninetales or Zoroark. The illusion got me. Ninetales had Sucker Punch, though, as well as Confuse Ray. Hey InfernapeTropius11, you know what Ninetales gets?
  • (R) Gengar with Hex and using Substitute with insufficient HP.
  • (R) Ferrothorn Leech Seeding Shaymin. Also had Protect.
  • (R) Gallade with Protect.
  • (R) Talonflame versus Shaymin for the game, Talonflame Roosts at 47% when it could have attacked a second time and survived the recoil to win.
  • (L) Shaymin using Earth Power on Talonflame. Explained in the chat: ★Ropose:Gorund just for the lulz
  • I probably missed something, trying to figure the Zoroark/Ninetales thing threw me.
Quickie: Ninjask EvasionPasses to Azumarill, a Belly Drum variant with no Sitrus Berry. Also note the lack of Huge Power, since Dragonite is hit from 18% and survives.

One more. Both players are having a lot of fun here; this is the carefree play AG seems to encourage alongside spamming every broken thing in existence. Nevertheless, here goes.
  • (R) This hilarious moment in the chat. R has chosen Leaf for his avatar, leading to this: ★BattleShell:Wait I'm Not A Girl
  • (R) Rotom mono. Does pretty well, actually.
  • I accidentally move the game tab into a new window and have to c/p the URL into a new tab. Cue getting hollered at in the chat.
  • (L) Zoroark with Hone Claws, Foul Play, and Dark Pulse.
  • (L) Mixed Lucario with CC, Aura Sphere, and Dark Pulse.
  • (R) Rotom-Fan with Foul Play.
  • (L) Mixed Raichu with Thunder and Body Slam, using Thunder Wave at all in the context of this battle.
  • (R) Mow misses back-to-back Leaf Storms. (Odds of this: 1%.)
  • (R) Frost with a Red Card.
  • (L) Mega Pidgeot uses Hurricane on Frost but gets the confusion--and then tanks a Blizzard to hang on with six percent.
  • (R) Wash with Discharge.
  • (R) Mow with Charge Beam, which gets the boost (70% chance, shocker). And RestTalk--nice!
  • (L) Boomburst Noivern, also having Hyper Voice, Hone Claws, and Draco Meteor. Redundant lack of SE coverage much. (Although Draco has a tendency to miss when you least expect it to.)
  • Mow kills Noivern and looks like it's about to stall out the game. Empoleon is waiting in the wings, however, and it Ice Beams...and freezes. Game over. Still, a very fun match to watch, and if these twelve Pokemon had optimal movesets it would easily be the most fun I've had watching a match in a while.

Lol. What you are using to view Pokemon sites like Smogon right now. You also use it to look at cute cat pictures. Totally not acting like a stalker.
I said I haven't used a good Internet in the last few years. The last time was in 2136. I am from the future and am currently using a complicated series of mechanical inventions combined with radioactive nuclear waste that is turned on by the ozone in the atmosphere to power my tablet to access Smogon right now, duh

I just had a brilliant idea!
I have a challenge for you guys:
For the next 24 hours, let's try to find as many funny replays from every OM but AG as we can :o
I wanna see how many we can get, and we all know stupid stuff goes on in other OMs lmao

Oh boy, I have seen enough to know about it all. I could just recompile all my old ones and have a good margin on most of the competition.

So, I'm getting out my investigations team. Will post my findings once I have a ton of battles low ladder. :]

Edit: Battles. Loads of them. I decided to do some "serious" battles....silly ones were among them. More possibly incoming.

Me failing. Ladder decided to make me fight Kingslayer. I wasn't prepared for that fight when I was so low on the ladder.

Meet bad BH players. Featuring FEAR magnemite stalling a mono steel team.

An old Tier Shift replay I dug up. I could have played better, but at least I'm not using things that don't belong in tier shift along with shoddy movesets.

http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/tiershift-135540072
Anothe rold tier shift replay, fauting hax, bad plays for me and my opponent and the guy getting mad about me "relying on confusion" when HALF HIS TEAM WAS WEAK TO FIGHTING. WHY WOULD I NOT USE A FIGHTING MOVE ON NORMAL AND DARK TYPES.rant over.

Another 1v1, with Quick Claw Ditto. Didn't help, as the poor thing just didn't have enough power.

1v1 number two. Mega Manectric with Quick Attack and using Thunder on a Swampert twice.

Number three: Mega Blastoise versus SunnyBeam Liligant, hanging on with two percent to get the kill with a Dark Pulse. (That's exactly how damage calcs would call it, but on the field it sure looked cool.)
Mfw Life Orb is being used in 1v1 ._.
