Other Silly Things You've Seen On The OU Ladder: V2

You played Carracosta wrong. The idea is to Shell Smash when you know you're going to get hit by a SE move, giving you a giant boost in attacking power.
I got that. Weakness Policy/Shell Smash/Sturdy lands you +4 Attack and +2 speed. Both times I was concerned about priority though. Here was my thought pattern:
- (Stone Edge on Torterra): I was predicting he'd use Earthquake. This would leave me with a 1 HP Carracosta likely. I thought I might as well exchange the two. I knew at this point that it had Quick Attack (and even if I didn't, I would have done the same since it's pretty standard) so if I used Shell Smash I'd end up with the above boosts but KO'd due to Quick Attack before hitting anything
- (Stone Edge on Infernape): I see quite a few Infernapes with Mach Punch (last time I checked it was 43%). I was concerned about using Shell Smash again and went for the exchange instead.

That Vespiquen is IMMENSE. How is it not rated as viable with that much bulk? It single-handedly stalled out a half dozen different uber pokes!

Of note:
- Leading with FEAR
- Torterra as an odd placement
- Superpower/Close Combat/Quick Attack/??? Pinsir. Is this common? Also, he could have switched it out at any point and probably gotten the KO on Vespiqueen
- Scald/Surf Leftovers Greninja (without Protean but that sometimes happens by accident)
God freakin dammit.
Ah well, I'll just make my own team, with blackjack, and hookers! Actually screw the blackjack

Once again, Vespiquen did the vast bulk of the work, including beating M-Pinsir one on one. This is a much better poke than I had previously given it credit for!

TAMAGO
is an Artist
It's actually one of the only Water families to NOT get Ice Beam or Blizzard. Fucker's weird.
It's also one of the only (if not THE only) water families that doesn't have a water STAB on its best attacking stat

(and it even got a +10 base atk in gen 6, trollfreak pls)

Why would anyone ever do this. Some silly type shit.

Turn 3
You have 150 seconds to make your decision.

Mawile has Mega Evolved into Mega Mawile!

Stupid duck(Heatran) used Fire Blast!
It's super effective! The opposing Mawile lost 100% of its health!

The opposing Mawile fainted!

Stupid duck(Heatran) restored HP using its Leftovers!
123blank321 forfeited.

To be fair on that Vensaur, Sceptile can't threaten it while Sludge Bomb does a ton of damage in return. It was probably predicting a switch.
Similar situation with that Thundurus, since it outspeeds Chomp and HP Ice does a ton.

21th Round of silly replays: What the hell Europe Edition

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-135184465
Team A:
  • Amnesia Weakness Policy Slowbro.
  • X-Scissor Mega Pinsir. OK, it has STAB, but it's worse than Return, EQ or even Close Combat.
Team B:
  • Slurpuff. At least it's the Sitrus Berry Belly Drum version. Also, remember: Thief removes your Unburden boost if it steals an item.
  • Non-Mega Venusaur.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-135186596
Team A:
  • Iron Head Heatran, sacced vs Mamoswine.
Team B:
  • Choice Scarf Mamoswine. It already has Ice Shard for priority (I'd use Scarf Garchomp as a Scarf Ground-type). At least this set surprised the opponent.
  • Florges.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-135192457
Team A:
  • Qwilfish, with Acid Spray.
  • Well, apart from Starmie (who is UU), his whole team is NU.
Team B:
  • Giga Drain Breloom.
  • Also, he's the one who forfeited, instead of his NU opponent.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-135194022
David vs Goliath.
Team A: Looks like an early in-game team from Pokémon X or Y. He even copied the levels!
  • Level 9 Fletchling.
  • Level ?? Froakie.
  • Level ?? Metapod.
  • Level ?? Kakuna.
  • Level ?? Zubat.
Team B: A little better than the opponent...
  • Dragon Rush Charizard.
  • Electivire.
  • Jellicent.

HP Fire Greninja's a thing. It hits Ferrothorn and Scizor, who can tank your attacks a lot of the time and cripple/set up on you.
